Good Enough

2019-03-28

Allows easy sharing of files and documents via sharepoint

Pros

One drive allows easy sync of files between a user's system and the cloud. It also provides storage of files and easy recovery of files in the case of system failure

Cons

The allowed space quota for one drive is not sufficient for most users

Onedrive is excellent for collaboration with colleagues

2019-03-01

I moved from iCloud drive to onedrive as my default cloud "hard-drive" and it has been great. With one-drive I no longer use the personal drive C: and I can work from the synchronized folder and it updates the cloud almost instantly. Also you can see a green arrow when the file is updated in the cloud and ready for your other devices to be used. I have not seen a sync error when working the same file from different devices and if I want to share just a file or a folder, the cloud app is very easy to use and a folder in the explorer appear so you just drag and drop files to share with your co-workers

Pros

It's sync between the cloud, the PC, the iPad and sharing files with other colleagues.

Cons

When it synchronizes with sharepoint it can be confusing.

Great File Sync, But Sharing Is Complex

2019-02-01

We can seamlessly access and edit files stored in SharePoint libraries on any device.

Pros

Integration with SharePoint is useful for our frequently used files.

Cons

In the various versions of OneDrive, sharing is complex, with different methods depending on which operating system is being used. There are multiple methods to share with multiple choices of destination and permissions, which can be confusing for users. If sharing with an external user, picking up a file is a somewhat tedious process. Overall sharing is confusing, but it seems Microsoft could improve it with a user interface update.

OneDrive is a great tools for sharing and collaborating with your peers and colleagues.

2018-07-19

Collaboration, backup of files, and easy access.

Pros

The syncing ability allows easy local navigation very similar to windows explorer. The Share with Everyone folder offers easy distribution of your files as an alternative to blasting everyone with emails. The direct sharing feature will send email notifications to your targeted audience and offers easy access the file. Real time collaboration offers the tracking of others using the same file at the same time. Auto versioning allows the integrity of the file to stay in check and mitigates concern that others will write over data. The online feature allows access to

Cons

Some of the features are similar to SharePoint but it's not easily distinguishable the differences between the application.

Onedrive is what sharepoint always wanted to be.

2017-07-03

Finally a cloud drive that is integrated with microsoft products. As you know microsoft products do not play well with others. Onedrive and onenote are exceptions to that rule. If you get one you have to get the other to get the full experience.

Pros

This is worlds better than using a sharepoint system.

Cons

this is not integrated into other apps as well as dropbox or gdrive.

A good inclusion in Office 365, though with some limitations

2018-08-23

Pros

The fact that OneDrive is included with an Office 365 subscription is its biggest draw. If businesses are looking for an all-in-one platform for office productivity, then this is the way to go.

Cons

Using Sharepoint as the backend is a bit drawback and, until Microsoft moves away from Sharepoint, OneDrive will never be on the same level as the competition.

Integrates nicely into everything we use. Easy to save, easy to access, every aspect is simple.

2018-07-02

Online file storage accessible from anywhere, any device. Easy to use system. Plenty of storage available.

Pros

Have access to it from File Explorer, Office programs, sharepoint online, Email.

Cons

Sharing features could be better, especially when sharing with people outside my organization. Setting up security and who can access would could be handled better. As it is, it's still useful. But overall, it's not meant to be that type of online storage system, so it's understandable.

2018-05-08

Pros

It's integrated with my Microsoft OS... it's simple and easy to use. No need for training, it's intuitive.

Cons

Microsoft needs to decide between OneDrive and Sharepoint

2019-04-03

We’ve realized a benefit to leveraging an integrated solution consisting of our OneDrive URLs and our secure web hosting pages.

Pros

I enjoyed the fact that OneDrive is easily navigable, that it produces easy to leverage links for items and folders, and that it also has a fairly strong iOS mobile app which makes field use a breeze.

Cons

Microsoft needs to either incorporate OneDrive for Business into Sharepoint, or keep it completely separate for enterprise users such as our organization.

2017-12-14

Least favorite cloud storage

2018-08-28

They could not make a smooth transition between SharePoint to One Drive to the latest version out there.

Pros

It would seem that because it is integrated into Windows and 365 the ease of use would be there. If you only ever use Microsoft products this might be an option for you.

Cons

It is clunky and a resource hog. If you use more than one account, ie. Personal and Work/School this is a nightmare.

Works great across all platforms and devices, some Sharepoint Online confusions

2019-03-21

Pros

Doesn't slow computer down too much, ease of access on mobile (if connected to wi-fi), integrated into Sharepoint Online.

A cloud storage solution that leaves much to be desired

2018-04-12

OneDrive is a good solution for storing a limited quantity of files, or if you're just starting out with cloud storage. A better solution would be Dropbox or Box.

Pros

The nice thing about OneDrive is the integration with Office 365 in terms of file access and saving. It doesn't appear to take up much in the way of system resources when I have OneDrive running in the background on startup.

Cons

OneDrive has file count limitations due to its use of Sharepoint on the backend.
