Simflofy is a great product but requires a little more maturity which we strongly believe will overcome with future enhancement and new releases of the application. Our overall experience with Simflofy has been good but we did initially struggle with the implementation due to the complex setup of our ECM infrastructure
Simflofy has been very useful tool for our company to migrate millions of historical content from our legacy systems to our ECM Alfresco platform. We also installed Simflofy for federated search but didn't really leverage the actual use as we only configured it to access contents within our ECM repository. The migration module of Simflofy is very advanced and has multiple functionality to manage migration of all metadata attributes along with access control list of the content. Simflofy has readymade connectors for Alfresco and most of the popular content management systems in the market. Also Simflofy can be managed to configure and add custom attributes during migration. We may consider using Simflofy for Manage in place once our ECM RIM module is installed and ready.
The product lacks inbuild dashboard for federated search. The migration tool requires certain level of advance configuration initially to setup and perform any migration task. Initially the product was not fully matured and is still been continuously enhanced and upgraded as the predecessor version of the tool lacked some functionality.
