Pros

The best features of Slack are its innovative interface and easy to use features. Slack makes it simple, and even kind of fun, to communicate with your coworkers quickly.
I like the different slack channels for various departments, tech-support, team, individual messaging, and celebrating my teams successes or helping each other out with account challenges.
Slack has been a winner for me no matter which role I am filling. Teams adopt it quickly it's easy to use, easy to set up, and has abundant opportunities for integrations.

Pros

I really like the clear and clean interface, I love simple and non-confusing things. It has everything it takes to get into the toolbox of marketing.
The incredibly fast customer service - The CS team is really fast (and personable, and friendly and helpful) when I have an issue. And I feel super well-taken-care-of.
I love the way it takes out the extra elements in a mail like images and branding, and makes it 100% text. Which helps you get to the point and understand what need to be understood.

Cons

While they are only visible to me, I am always worried that I accidentally posted something wrong.
I disliked the inability to make a public group "private" after it's creation. Would occasionally lag and my.
I hate hate hate how often I struggle with using the video share and audio when someone calls me on slack. It almost never works for me.

Cons

The organization got very confusing when one person wrote to more than one of my accounts. It got worse when I wanted to write a new email to a person who wrote me at more than one account.
Their business approach is misleading - they actually alter the contents of your emails without clearly stating they will do so.
Work email accounts with @customname.com are not free. Charged per email account.

Security of Files, Community and User Interface

When using a Channel, Users know what to expect and are in constant reminder of channel rules with pinned messages unlike instant messaging apps like Whatsapp where I would constantly remind members of group rules. Makes community management a lot easier. The ability to edit sent messages has saved me tons of embarrassing typos but most importantly, it also shows that a message has been edited. This is helpful when users play smart after breaching community guidelines because you would be aware of a message tampered with. Most files I have received via slack spike my antivirus to action. Gmail offers more decent protection so it is recommended to have active antivirus protection while sharing a lot of files on the platform.

Pros

The Channels are my favourite feature of this app. Feels like switching a TV and makes community management a lot easier. The integration of Slack with a lot of products makes file sharing and collaboration very efficient especially google drive. You can edit a sent message where there is typographic error and that is super cool.

Cons

There seems to be no strong antivirus or malware detection programmed into slack and if there is, some malware evade it. Few themes are available to make a rich user experience. The light and dark mode is not enough. Some users want some subtle shades or artistic background to give a refreshing feeling while working and it is absent. The user interface is a maze for new users. It does not feel instinctive to use at first sight unlike my experience with some other applications.
