I really enjoy this product and the freedom that it provides me and my staff. It allows me to feel as though I can relax and enjoy my day off without feeling completely detached or unhelpful.
I really enjoy how this product allows me to communicate with staff in a platform that is not my personal facebook. Using slack allows meta communicate with staff quickly and effectively without being in the workplace.
I did not like how sometimes I am not notified of threads, especially if people do not type @here or @a specific person. If I am not directly mentioned in the post I am not always notified.

The overall look and functionality of Slack are great. It saves time when wanting to send a colleague a short message or question. Plus, it intergrates with other software.
From an HR standpoint, Slack can introduce more areas for potential workplace issues when used inappropriately .

I love how I can manage so many different places simultaneously, this collaborating tool is something that I'll definitely recommend to any working pal.
Sometimes, it hangs. It takes a lot of time to switch from one workplace to another.

Does everything you need from a workplace messaging app.
GIFs. All the GIFs. But seriously, its speed, ease of use, and ability to upload and share files quickly and easily.
Call quality on conference calls seems to vary. Peoples voices could easily drop out, however this may be more down to the connection.

I am a graduate student and I am mostly involved in team projects headed by an advising professor. We communicate and share our information through Slack which makes our work quick and easy.
We can integrate the apps that we are already using such as One drive, google drive with this software and feed the files or documents from other apps into the messaging stream to communicate the information better to our colleagues.
The group video calling option is not available. To conduct meetings with persons away from the workplace, video calling will be the best option.

Connected virtual workplace
Slack makes it very easy to organize and distribute information, particularly with the different group channels that can be created for different purposes
I wish there was a single location to search through files that were shared in different channels rather than having to scroll back

Simple interface and easy to use workplace chat software. It's an effective communication tool that can create workplace efficiencies for businesses.
Some features are only available in the paid option. There is also a lot of features like gifs that can impact workplace professionalism and productivity.

Connectivity within the workplace
The software is like social media in the work place. It's great to easily connect with a person or group regarding projects. Files can be shared easily and it's secure!
It usually takes longer to get a hold of customer support, which can take a toll waiting to have an issue fixed.

Solves everyday communication in workplace. Highly recommended to a start-up to exclude themselves from social media distractions. Great software for apps integration.
We use Slack everyday in the Office as a communication tool. This is far better than any other tools such as Messenger, Viber and Hangout. I like that they are not part of social media and it's easy to integrate from other apps such as Asana, Gsuite and Google Calendar. I love the updates as well!
Honestly speaking, there's no such thing as least important in this software. Just continue the updates for future purposes.

Team communication, workplace announcements, project collaboration
I love slack! It's intuitive, easy to use, and connects to every single app you can think of. Most of my team is offshore and slack is imperative to how we communicate. I also use it a ton with my in office teammates. I can easily create a private channel or direct message with one or several people, and the general channels are a great way for me to stay up to date on other company-wide announcements. It's super easy to share files with other employees, and direct who I'm talking to by using an @here or @mentioning a specific teammate.
I wish I could snooze my message notifications. You can snooze the pop ups but not the number of messages on the app icon. When I don't want to be disturbed, I don't want to see that increasing message count.
