Despite its flaws, this is a unique app that you should still download if you value safety, connection, and unity because there’s nothing quite like it. The app not only serves as a communication tool for neighborhood watch programs but is also a place to post babysitting recommendations, local cleaning services, free giveaways, yard sales, and neighborhood events. I love this app for how it brings a community together, encouraging teamwork, sharing tips, and looking out for each other. It's a fantastic way to interact with your neighbors or introduce yourself when you're new. It truly fosters a sense of community and belonging, which our world greatly needs.

Very Informative and Helps Communities Work Together!

It is very easy to start a conversation with people in your neighborhood about local issues. We have found the best deals on trash service, cable and internet through this app. It really is helpful to me.

Easy to find new neighbors

Helpful but also upsetting. Its is not the fault of the app but the fault of our current national culture (ive used this app in two different parts of our country so the abuse issue is not local)

Great intent but user issues

I have been using it for more than 2 years and I'm highly satisfied with it, and I love meeting new people and chatting with them. I have received so many helps as well from people and I love the community that I'm blending into!

Easy and User friendly

Nextdoor is a great tool for those who are interested in their neighborhood.  Great for finding a local boy to hire for yard work, or learn about garage sales.  Apart from these things, I'll stick with Facebook or Instagram as most of my interests are not bound to my neighborhood.  Regarding businesses, I think it's a very good app to get awareness out if your audience is bound.

Getting To Know Your Neighbors

I joined to keep in touch with neighbours, but this site has tended to be taken over for advertising purposes.  If you ask neighbours for recommendations of companies, you get very few neighbours replying.  Instead you get the companies themselves responding, which isn't any help as you could get this information from Google etc.

I agree with other comments that finding your way around the site isn't easy or obvious.  Basically, this is a badly designed and run site.

Great neighborhood software

I have had great luck with this app! Ive been lucky with finding used furniture that I could use, I have met several new people I consider friends, I have been able to help others that needed it. I have learned things I did not know about my area and my neighborhood until now, trash pickup schedules, I have been able to get help from neighbors on the app and then come help me with running out of gas as well as locking keys in our truck. This app has been a life saver! It’s hard to make friends out there especially if you were to just go knocking on neighbors doors.
