Great idea, needs some work

Good experience so far. I can tell that they want to make the software better and they are interested in changing with the feedback they are getting from contractors.

Pros

I like being able to run basically my whole company out of one software and I think that is why this was originally created.

Cons

I hate the mobile version of the app. I am not able to do nearly as much on the mobile app and I wish that was possible. Just wish the mobile interface was much more user friendly.

It's nice enough

Searching for previous clients and jobs is awesome compared to the good ole search the file cabinet. The real time pricing is wonderful as long as you are centrally located, it doesn't account for the location of your perticular supplier when giving you prices.

Pros

I really appreciate the real time pricing, the cataloging of clients, and the ease of searching information.

Cons

The calendar isn't the best, it will allow you to over lap crews and appointments. The templates can be frustrating to organize. And you have to pay more to build a sale report the fits you.

Very happy, more organized, proposals are easier to make having the templates there. We really enjoy the program.

Pros

It's hard to choose just one thing, every feature is very helpful. The calendar and the notes are nice to have to remember who is needing what and when we last spoke with the client. The invoice process is easy and the option to import from the worksheet is a big time saver! Having the "paid" mark is a nice way to give the client a receipt. We highly recommend Acculynx and are glad we chose to go with it!

Cons

At first it was a little challenging added the crews to the mobile app, and figuring that out but we re-scheduled a short training and was able to get the help we needed.

i like thats its set up for insurance work and that it links to our suppliers that its new and innovative

Cons

i need more customization for our use i need a line for claim numbers, i would like to tex customers, i would like to have insurance company and adjusters infor for easier connections and calls i also would like to be able to send tex to different team members inside of the customer contact

Great product, needs a couple of features for myself personally

Overall, my company enjoys Acculynx and the previous owners had good things to say as they used it primarily for exterior remodeling. I like that there seems to be consistent updating of the software and features, and continues to make managing projects easier.

Pros

I work for an interior remodeling company in Minnesota, and I think Acculynx is great for what we do. The dashboard make it feel like you have a central hub to work from and the entire site is visually appealing. The estimate portions are easy to understand and the calendar is simple and a must have.

Cons

I find myself needing to track to do list items for each individual job we have and I often find it clunky to use the checklist feature or using notes in the file. It would be nice if there was some sort of task manager for each just that was more like just a to do list that anyone from the company could jump in and edit, change, or mark items complete. We also have trouble with lost emails when mailed through the file directly.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX AND REBOOT THE EMAIL SYSTEM!

Good program for our business generally but it leaves me frustrated many times and on the verge of cancelling service and finding another solution that is more functional and smooth and intuitive.

Pros

Has much capability to do much of what you need to run a replacement construction business. Love the estimate builder feature and the pricing database with ABC Supply. Many features we haven't even utilized yet.

Cons

The email program is absolutely lacking, troublesome and awkward to use. Emails go to spam on recipient's end because of the format used form emails. Received emails get jumbled together because gmail reads them as part of the same conversation. So different customers emails are all combined together in our inbox and easy to miss. The email window does not open all the way while composing an email. You have to arrow (scroll) over throughout the drafting of the email to read what you are writing. Terrible for such an otherwise comprehensive program! Also just very clunky to figure things out and the interface in not intuitive.. I have more issues but wont spend more time here. PLEASE FIX AND REBOOT THE EMAIL ASPECT OF THE PROGRAM!!

Better Business with Acculynx

Acculynx was easy to learn (intuitive) and most of our team only needed a few hours of training during the first week of use to get most of it down.

Pros

It makes every aspect of the roofing business easier. Our company walks to the door with a quote on the first visit. Acculynx makes this easy to do.

Cons

I think AL (as we call it) has too much unregulated access by the sales team for instance. I want to be able to set and control my pricing without fear of it being changed.

Everything so far has been extremely pleasant.

Pros

I like that they took the contractor in mind when creating the software. Great training and support.

Cons

I wish they had an app for more on the go contractors. I also wish they had a spot that homeowners could login and view the progress.

Our central hub

Pros

AccuLynx allows us to effectively plan, communicate, and execute every process of our construction company. Most of our company’s communication is now through AccuLynx and allows even the most minuscule details to go in-missed.

Cons

We have not fully integrated our crew scheduling and material ordering through AccuLynx, but are planning that this year. Thus far we have found it not to be easy to manage.

Having all the information that I need handy in one spot.

Cons

Pictures do not load up. Even with full bars/hooked up to Wi-Fi. Have to upload pictures numerous times to get them to load into files. Have many picture files that have not loaded up that have been critical. I’ve called numerous times about this issue and nothing has been resolved. Been having this issue for years.

If you haven't try reducing the size of your images in areas with poor cell service. Smaller file sizes can help improve upload speeds. Decent, but some bugs to work out

Pros

The website is well-designed, easy to navigate and understand.

Cons

The mobile features are seriously lacking. The app often crashes for all our employees, and it can be hard to navigate jobs and reports. It seems to have been designed in a rush. It's very pretty, but the functionality just isn't there. There have also been multiple issues with accounting-- acculynx often won't show automatically when payments have been made on jobs, making it confusing to know who has paid and how much they still owe.

Easy and smooth and basically destroys my budget.

Pros

Estimating is easy and the whole system is smooth.

Cons

Integration with other software is limited and expensive. I am constantly looking for a product that doesn't cut into our bottom line so much.

Pros

Keeping customer contact information all in one place and photos of the job. Company documents and announcements. We will soon be utilizing the scheduling of our crews through acculynx.

Cons

I would like to be able to edit and mark up photos.

This is a great software to keep everything in line. I have enjoyed working through this system from the multiple companies I have introduced it to.

Pros

I like the simplicity of this CRM. There are good features which make it easy to use for the field guys as well. This online and app version is a must use when it comes to keep track of your projects on a job by job basis.

Cons

There are a few upgrades when it comes to attachments and invoicing I would like to see added. I will be getting a list together and sharing with the admin of Acculyx to see what we can do to add these minor details.

Strongly Recommended for Roofing Companies

Overall, this is a great software, excellent support too!

Pros

We've used Acculynx since 2012. Extremely easy to integrate and work with. Great reports and tracking options for almost everything a business needs to keep an eye on.

Cons

I personally like all of it. The area that some of my coworkers struggle with are using Production Calendar and estimating, it seems a little difficult for someone with less computer experience.

Overall, I like using Acculynx and know that you will continue to correct/update the system.

Pros

All information about the job can be located in one place. We have eliminated a lot of "paper" documents.

Cons

When entering customer's addresses for a job. Acculynx will sometimes drop the "numbers" of the address and when a sales person is on the road trying to find the customer, his calendar only shows the Street Name without the numbers. He then has to call me, I go back to when I received the lead, find the Numbers for the Street address and then re-enter it into acculyx for our records and then call the sales person and give them the information. Time consuming.

An excellent product, especially for contractors that are operating by the seat of their pants.

over time Acculynx was able to be configured to run the entire roofing business from start to finish. All resources for all employees to be put inside this program. Being able to see what you installed, which includes your entire bill of material, is excellent.

Pros

Templates makes providing detailed estimates to customers a lot easier than what you are probably doing now. The messages, that are updated in each customers profile, makes it easy to keep your team on the same page. If you have an issue, the tech support staff is excellent. For field user, the app is like carrying the portion office that you need in your pocket.

Cons

Improvements need to be made to reporting and the production calendar. Adding the ability to search on repairs and warranty would be a nice feature.

Pros

mobile phone usage on the field you can add who is controlling the work.

Cons

as a scheduler you cannot schedule on your mobile device, you have to log into desktop to schedule or manage your field crew

so far so good and we are excited to get deeper into the CRM and all of its features.

Pros

how all talks to each other and you can have it execute tasks for you automatically. Also like that it is integrated/ synced with one of our current supplier

Cons

so far I have not been getting the best assistance with my questions. the training videos are on pint and some are very helpful but when I got hooked up with a trainer, it seems like she barley knew all details that are provided in the training videos. Also don't care that I cant edit the macros from the measurement tab to estimate tab

Pros

I like the to have a visual schedule, and how easy it is to create orders and estimates.

Cons

It is hard to use. Sometimes it is very complicated to get where you need and have many steps that make everything more complicated (Ex. entering a new contact to the directory). I don't like that you can't delete your own comments on the messages section. I also think templates are difficult to create and update.

Overall this program has helped improve the functionality of our business.

Pros

We made the switch to Acculynx over the last 60 days. We were offered training sessions with our own personal rep (Thanks [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!) who was quick to answer any and all questions during our session and follow up questions via email after our session had ended. This program has made project management simpler and more efficient for office staff and sales reps to work together on projects.

Cons

It is a little pricey, and at any trainings, or trade shows I have attended, it seems the best features offered are still additional a la carte fees.

Great App for Roofers

Pros

The mobile app is easy to use and can do almost everything that the desktop app can. You can easily save paperwork sent to you through email into the app and do not have to take the extra steps to rescan and save. You can quickly pull up a contact and push a button to dial their number to call them. Big time saver.

Cons

I did not like that I can not create estimates through the mobile app. This would really come in handy out in the field. Also, it would be great if you only had to push the button once to call instead of twice.
