Pros

My number one thing that I like most is the customer support. There are a ton of feature on it and the team has been amazing anytime I have a question, no matter how big or small.
I love everything about Builder Prime. From the ease of entering customers to the sale being completed, it’s seamless.
We love it! and have been using the software for 4+ years now. The builder prime team knows how to build a high quality CRM for contractors that helps save time and money.

Pros

Onboarding was a breeze and the staff was so helpful and patient helping us apply and configure the software to best suit our individual business needs. Customer service has been amazing.
Super fast responsive times and helpful feedback. All in all while there's always feature enhancements that we'd love to see, BuildBook has been a great addition to our team.
I love how easy it is to integrate our current utilization of dropbox with Buildbook. As a team, we love being able to track our jobs together, and share our daily progress with each other.

Cons

Software is missing some key reports and a defined post sales service module.
Some of our team members had a hard time learning how to use the system, switching over, and accessing the mobile app.
It wasn't perfect but user error was also part of the problem.

Cons

Inability to set it up for my clients remotely.
Inability to customize as a small company without paying unnecessary extra month upgrade cost. It lacks time tracking software to make this a complete package.
No more copying a million folks on emails or group texts.

Very simple to use. There was no training needed.

Cons

It’s a communication tool. Not an actual project management software.

We are new to BuildBook but have compared to HoneyBook, Builder Trend & CoConstruct before making our decisions.

Pros

I like the ease of setup and the visibility of seeing all our projects in one place.

Cons

There are some features like lead capturing from my website and subcontractor bids that I look forward to in a future release.

Great Platform for increasing communication with clients

Communication is much more fluid and accurate between client, builder and designer. No more copying a million folks on emails or group texts.

Pros

The ability to share images and have a record of dialogue all in one spot.

Cons

I wish I could have all the functionality on my PC, not just my phone. I think this is coming soon....

Vendor response

Update: BuildBook is now multi-platform and available on both mobile and PC, so it can be easily accessed and used both in the office and out on the job site.

exactly what we were looking for

We are very happy with this product

Pros

As a custom home builder, we were looking for a product that would ease communication and streamline all necessary information between builder, client, and vendors. This software has met all of those needs easily. Every time we use it with a client, we're impressed with it's functionality and ease of use. The budget information has become our favorite tool, as it keeps everyone aware of dollars throughout the entire process.

Cons

It's still being adjusted and fine tuned, so some of the functionality is still being worked out.

Full Service Collaboration Tool

Loved it! It was like Instagram for your house build or remodel project, keeping everyone interested and looking forward to the next step. The ability to see and comment in real time was motivating. It kept what can seem like a never ending process for my clients, more exciting. THANK YOU BUILDBOOK!

Pros

The fact that we could all be on the same page in real time was invaluable, between builder, designer, and customer. The ability to convey communication by text, photos, and documents was super helpful. Can’t imagine doing another remodel without it. Our customer loved it too!

Cons

The only thing I found a little frustrating was trying to update a selection sheet for my builder. One that I could update with text, not handwriting, but I think it’s not actually a BuildBook issue. It has to do with the type of file uploaded originally. And it honestly didn’t slow us down any!

Great software, helped our systems so much!

We've loved having something to keep us organized, keep our subcontractors in the loop, and keep our clients happy. They know the schedule, what is expected of them, and when they need to have decisions done. That has helped me be able to spend my time working on other things instead of putting out fires all day!

Pros

Pros: -All in one place -Keeps communication confusion at a minimum because it keeps things streamlined -Provides a great view of the entire build process -Love the ease of keeping track of things...even helps me as the builder see things as the big picture and help break it down for customers. -I love the notifications that have been added

Cons

It's pretty user friendly but I needed to work through all the different aspects of it to see how we could utilize it best. The chat feature is great, but sometimes doesn't work. The scrolling doesn't work the best on the app version and sometimes the selections section is cery slow to add and save information. Fixes seem to make things better and better though!

Best Bang for your Buck Construction Management Software

BuildBook has a small company feel, they are there to help their customers, customer service is the best I have experienced.

Pros

It is extremely easy to use. There is no better software for the money. It is not busy and cluttered like its more expensive competitors, it has everything you need, nothing that you don't. The company is growing rapidly and I am excited to see the future software developments from BuildBook. I would recommend BuildBook to any residential builder looking to systemize their company.

Cons

It is a relatively new product that is rapidly growing, there will be features you with it had, though they are few. BuildBook will continue to improve, and I look forward to future developments.
