Builder Trend has transformed our processes and our process time.  We are still making adjustments in how best to use the tool, but overall we are much more efficient and effective in what we do.

I'm really disgusted with the new update.  The program was just ok before but this new update is horrible.  Now I'm in a bad spot because we have so many estimates written in QB so it's going to be a real challenge to change to a different platform mid-stream

I would like it to have a reminder to approve the proposal before the converting a lead to a job. I wish it have an option to print the estimate with the internal notes as well. 

Love all the features

Our experience so far using Buildertrend has definitely being a positive one. We use the leads page as the focal point for our bi-weekly meetings and update the leads as we go through them. It has made it a lot easier to manage our jobs.

We have been using BT for 6 months.  It has some really nice features.  it does take some time to set up cost codes, the schedule, selections templates, etc.  But this is true for any construction software.  This is our 3rd software attempt. 



Some good.  Some not so good

The software has made me more efficient and thus gives me an advantage over my competition.  I spend most of my time in my truck at job sites and it allows me to take my office with me and continue being productive.

Left after software "upgrade"

My overall experience with Buildertrend has been positive.  I run a small homebuilding company, and this tool has allowed me to organize my workflow and communicate with my customers and my sub-contractors efficiently.  The iPhone App works great, and Buildertrend allows unlimited storage so I can upload all my pictures into one place for my records.  Great Platform!  I can't say enough about my Coach and  Buildertrend University.  Exceptional experience as well!

A great Project Management and Communication Platform

It has been disappointing. If you are a Coconstruct user I would recommend you wait as long as you can and then either switch to Builder Trend or at that point maybe there will be some better software in the marketplace.  Six months in,  and tens of thousands of dollars implementing we are 50/50 on whether we will keep it.  We keep trying to find work around.  We have 10 people on our team and no one is pleased.
We are hopeful that they will change.  We have asked why they do not adopt more features from CoConstruct and we are told they are considering it.  Unfortunately they do not list these changes on the Road Map of changes they say they are working on.  We are beginning to think they really do not plan on adopting more of Coconstruct and just say they are to attract Coconstruct's loyal followers.

Over 500 suggestions for improvement have been advised to Buildertrend by users in the last 18 months, particularly in the Financial area, but not one has been taken up.  I would not recommend this program to anyone. If Buildertrend was a solid object, i'd hurl it into the nearest swamp.

Buildertrend has been great so far and we are happy we chose to use this product.  Hopefully as some of these new fixes / integrations get worked out the tool will become even more useful for us!

Great array of tools to use in making the building process methodical, tools like the documents folder for all project drawings and specification are great. The integration with Xero was a big plus.

Construction Manager

It has many great features that streamline communication with trades and help them to get paid on time. It’s a great way to organize multiple projects at a time.

Bookkeeper

As mentioned above, job costing is such a great thing that can be accomplished. Sending bills out of BT is also a great aspect of the software.

Designer

Super easy to use and introduce to clients. Great way to stay on top of the project as well as communicate between client and subs.

I liked that it covers just about all the bases and has a great notification tool. Lots of good options on how the information is received and shared as well as filter features.

What I like most about BuilderTrend is it's ease of use, the customization ability of the software, and the ease of edit/revision.

Their customer service is unmatched in how responsive, friendly and helpful they are with questions or technical issues.

Unable to autosave to-do's or the daily log is obnoxious. If you accidentally close out the program you lose all data.

It is a great customer service tool that is good for all the customers - the client, the supervisors, fellow workers and subcontractors and the owner of the business.

Really easy to use, great customer support and we loved the no start up cost just a very affordable monthly fee.
