Being able to schedule tasks to people in the field and the calendar functions are what I like the best. I appreciate the vendor's availability to train and answer any of our questions.
I'm unable to export certain data into Excel. I'm also unable to find answers to questions via the online training.

All in all a good piece of software for building.
Buildertrend gives your clients a easy to use portal for selecting options on new homes. They also helped us to save money on builders risk insurance.
The pay online service can a be a little cumbersome to setup and use. Ended up not using the pay online feature.

Ease of access for the homeowners. Easy to navigate around. I like that is internet-based and can be accessed anywhere. Customer support is awesome as well.
The budget tab takes way too long to enter data.

Document integrity and data retention - CRM lacks intuitive interface
Comprehensive feature set - you get out of it what you put into it.
Cross platform integration - would like to see better interoperability with Chief Architect, and ability to migrate other CRM’s

Our team is a big fan of BuilderTrend. Our customers love the program.
Customers LOVE daily updates and following along with the calendar
Customers are alerted about paying online when that is not an option for our company. Calendars show work through the weekends

We have been using Buildertrend for about 5 years now and I don't know how we would get along without it. Our communication has been able to be streamlined from pre-construction all the way to warranty work. I could go on and on about all the amazing benefits of this software. This has been as important as blueprints are to build a house.
Email, Change Order Tab and payments, Online Selections, Tracking costs, and schedules.
Takes some time building up the back end selections and templates.

It is sometimes frustrating when we need specific fixes but have to wait for it to become popular with other people before we can get it done.
Love the online payments but don't love how it syncs with QB
Need to be able to deactivate things and have them not show in the lists without having to delete them ..example: internal users

Our business problems are simple - track project tasks on a daily basis. I discovered many other features while conversing with my BuilderTrend rep and even provided a new feature suggestion for consideration though I am not sure if it was ever implemented. The mobile app works great for the field staff and I love the ability to manage the different notifications to inform me of a subcontractor's expired Certificate of Insurance coverage (as one example). Overall, I am very impressed with the functionality of BuilderTrend.
The project management tool in BuilderTrend is very robust with its functionalities, predecessor/successor assignments, and budget tracking. The section for notes and repository of uploaded images are helpful to the project managers in the field. The other important feature is the time entry module where we can track our workers and their billable hours worked.
The reporting tools are a bit limiting as query tools should be made available for administrators to extract data as it relates to our specific management oversight needs. The other limiting feature is that the financial data can only originate from BuilderTrend. We use QuickBooks heavily for our financial records but BuilderTrend cannot pull this data in.

The ability to record large amounts of information and have accessibility, online & mobile.
Restricted reporting capacity, but that could be my lack of understanding. I would like to understand 1. When the last logs by a building supervisor was 2. The date the last photos were uploaded 3. Provide me a report on the stage each site is at. Such as, 10 homes to be a "lock up" stage this week, 5 due for handover this week, etc. 5 house slabs being poured this week.

From the very first usage of this program it was friendly and easy. Inputting data was easy as well and where problems arose the technical support team were great to deal with.
Easy to use. Able to input most data.

Buildertrend makes each project flow much smoother by easily allowing those in the field to communicate with the office and then with the client!
The ability to easily input data and retrieve data is amazing! This allows us to always see where we stand on projects and to run project-specific reports.
I did find that the app was slightly harder to upload pictures to a job or daily log. On a desktop, it was easy though.

Almost Everything is in one location and accessible by everyone.

Overall I like the whole management process with the estimates, schedules and purchase orders.
The buildertrend progream is "user friendly" which makes it the best for the money in my book

That the service is online and can be accessed by my customers from anywhere in the world. We operate out of Omaha, Nebraska and I have had customers get online a approve selections and change orders from all around the world from Hawaii and Switzerland.
