I like that there is no limit to the amount of drawings that could be uploaded and that only one drawing has to be taken-off & it will automatically count the same items on all uploaded drawings. Another feature I like is that you can also remove the backgrounds, which is a great help.
I have only briefly used this software so have not had enough practice to know if there are any cons yet. First impressions I do not see any cons.

After years of marking up plans with highlighters and producing reams of takeoff sheets, it has been a revelation to use this software. After an initial period of getting to grips with the way it operates it is now so easy to obtain concise information to allow me to produce my quotes. The support has been excellent and I have now recommended Countfire to numerous other companies. I wish all Software companies were like Countfire.

We are able to undertake offs quickly, the checking sheet is easy to read; along with converting it into a spreadsheet that we quickly alter to fit into our company price enquire form from our selected wholesalers.
It is so simple to use that after 20 minutes, you feel like a pro.
It is only very minor, but drag and drop for loading the drawings.

Fast and accurate take-offs
Accurate & flexible and once you get used to using the shortcut keys it is very quick. Being able to turn off the background is a great help and the edit tool is really useful. The customer service widget is a great help if you get stuck and Countfire are quick to respond to any issues.
It would be really useful to be able to add 'drops' or 'rises' when doing a length measurement; at the moment I only count drops as 'points' which I then add up once the project has been possessed.

IS pretty accurate in comparrision with other software i have used. The customer services and sales is the best i have used
Missing some little features but these is always around them...just need to ask Would love to see a way you can group a certain set of custom icons to count a device type.

Please see previous page regards Pro's and Con's of Countfire.
Being able to carryout your Take Offs and easily being able to review your work with "Toggle On / Off", along with being presented with a well detailed and populated Excel Spreadsheet of said Take Offs on completion / Project processed.
The Management Side of the Projects requires a Folder Format, instead of just listing the Projects in Number / Alphabetical order.

It gets me working on the things that matter in my business instead of being bogged down with takeoffs.
This software just takes away the tediousness of takeoffs. In a small business I don't have time to dedicate to performing manual takeoffs and the finished presentation is fantastic.
It would be useful to be able to create an individual legend per page for presentation purposes.

The software is simple, that doesn't mean it does not perform. Its easy to navigate and learn, with great accurate results, with data that can be used electronically. Has made the process of estimating much quicker. Online help is fast so highly recommended, any updates made are useful and add to the ease of use.

Easy way to complete accurate take off, the software has been improving all the time, now need the software to be able to take off linear measurements.

Thanks David. Linear measurements have arrived! It can also do area and manual counting, in addition to true automatic counting. No need to print drawings now!

The lighting and general services take-offs were the most time consuming and countfire has reduced it significantly
Quick and easy to set up, load new projects and import drawings.
Measuring containment is very slow. it would be nice if the background feature could eliminate all of the background. sometimes selecting an icon will not pick up every one of them.

Countfire has been great so far. From [SENSITIVE CONTENT] doing the Demo to supporting me on getting set up.
The features I found best was the fact that once you take off one drawing correctly it automatically takes off the remaining drawings in the file.
It gets a bit expensive with the Business and Pro Versions

I'm a Quantity Surveyor therefore a software like this speeds up the process when having to take off drawings in order to validate jobs. Countfire is a very good bit of software with first class customer service and I would 100% recommend it to anyone.

The staff and support they give you is excellent. Countfireare open to suggestions which is great.
Easy to use and has saved allot of man hours
The manual measuring of linear lengths I think needs a little work e.g. list of each length in metres, then a total length. The suggestion has been forwarded the Countfire team whom are investigating further.

Accurate and quick software to use, the software outputs your measures into a useful excel format too. The checking system gives you improved accuracy and prints highlighted drawings, that you'd never get in a manual take-off. Brilliant software!

Saves us a lot of time dealing with large take-offs.
Simple interface, easy to pick-up. Great friendly support team, always ready to give a hand. Excel sheet with count information created by the software saves a lot time.
Price is on the high side. App can start to struggle when dealing with massive PDFs with lots of symbols.

Ease of use, Support on hand, knowledge of product excellent, pleasant and polite staff.
Currently zero cons but at times due to drawing imperfections it does seem confused with some legends and their images.
Thanks very much for your kind review Neil! Really glad to hear you're getting on with Countfire so well. Legends can be a little tricky in that often the symbols used in the legend are drawn slightly differently (EG: they're larger or smaller etc) meaning from the perspective of the software, they're seen as different symbols. Generally we'd recommend ignoring symbols in the legend and instead prefer selecting symbols used on the drawing's floor planthat way you're giving Countfire the best information to work with.

The time savings using Countfire are as valuable as having an extra member of staff. The customer support is second to none and the fact that the monitor your early usage to make sure you are not making mistakes is amazing.
The ease of use and the accuracy of the take offs.
Nothing at all this system is so easy to use.

is a huge time saver
the time savings & the reports it spits out like how it color codes all marks and the spreadsheet to match
have not experienced any negative issues. only issue that came up was resolved right away was backgrounds came out light. tech support was able to fix within few minutes

Overall the automation really blew us away and will continue to use.
Being able to Automatically count similar symbols across our drawings in our projects, at the same time was a game changer.
Their website has a price savings estimator... was off by a bit but that's just us being picky about something small.
