Creo and Windchill allow us to design products with a great level of detail and sophistication with good revision control and change notice processes. It is very powerful once you get used to it.

You have to do trainings to know what great functions this software has. Also, if you know all config options and mapkeys, you can work very quick and comfortable.

I love to design parts seamlessly and its really clean. The STL export feature is also very handy.

I also used Standard Rendering and I was able to produce a very effective images for product catalogs. I also used Mechanism and Simulation modules and they are quite capable.

Software user interface is old styled , its confusing to connect with the database , file size of generated model is high.

The best thing I found in this 3D Modeling software as compared to others is; the drawing options and interface is just amazing with respect to other but at the same time not much user friendly.

It is little bit difficult to learn because of its advancement.

I wish this software was better about telling you what's wrong in your design. Sometimes overlapping lines may not be something easily identifiable and will cause error when extruding.

Very robust mid-priced package let down by unintuitive quirks.

The best CAD software

I have used PTC CREO (and other) products that pre-date the CREO name.  The software is usable in a controlled environment and with sufficient support resources.  Probably best for larger organizations that are also using Windchill PDM.

A stick-shift product in an automatic world...

I have done programming and automation work through this software for interactive development in the classroom.

 Excellent  product  has the creation of files Mcad, is efficient  and  fast  in mencanic  design.  

Creo is fabulous software for 2D and 3D CAD modelling.

In general and overall, a good 3D modeling software for mechanical, electrical, and electronic applications. Requires prior understanding of tools and not a quick, easily accessible software to learn and train. Can work on complex design edits for manufacturing capabilities.

One of the best in industry

I have used CREO for many years to make many designs and drawings.

CREO is a very powerful useful CAD software program.

I use this software to make 3d designs as a hobby because I love tools and parts designing, I sometimes use Creo to make the work faster. I love this application because it is easy to use.

great 3D mechanical design software

Overall, it is a great professional tool and is probably best used in the industry rather than in educational settings (at least at the elementary/middle school level). While it is great exposure for students to be using professional software, it has a larger learning curve for both teachers and students than other more kid-friendly CAD software out there and it is more expensive than other options available. 

It is better and easier to print from and has many more functionalities. It just needs to be simplified and streamlined to be successful in the classroom. 

Great professional tool, harder for beginners or students

We had to have a dedicated team jus for CREO to allow  the rest to concentrate on Product support and projects only.

The overall experience with Creo is good it helped me a lot with my graduation project in the university.

Not the best Design Software, but the easiest.

My experience with PTC creo is great so far as we have been able to make 3D models and related drawings efficiently.

Fantastic CAD Program For All Users

Overall a very powerful tool with many options (prepare to open your checkbook).  There are other packages that might suit basic needs of most companies (i.e. Solidworks or Autodesk)

Very powerful but other packages may offer better value 

I used the software to model the complex 5-speed transmission gearbox.Proper synchronisation of the gear pair and parametrizing the gear design based on the number of teeth and modules were made possible and less time-consuming.

We use Creo a [inaudible 00:00:13] third, fourth and fifth grade students to create virtual models. So they did 2D into 3D sketches, and then we were actually able to then 3D print their engineering designs and then test out their physical prototypes as well. Some things I really liked about Creo is, is a really professional software that was used in real world. I know a lot of actual engineers use Creo software. So if students actually ever decided to take those career fields, it'd be a product that a lot of professionals use, which was really great.
                                                       And also, it created really high quality products for us to be able to 3D print. So even though we liked the software because it was professional and really high quality, some things that were difficult about it is it made harder for our younger students to use. It wasn't as kid friendly or intuitive, especially students that weren't used to using the mice and the certain tools. And there weren't as many tutorials in Creo as there were in other CAD softwares that might be a little bit more kid friendly. So even though we really liked using it, it was a great high quality product, it definitely was harder for our students to learn and use.
