Overall it's been a good experience. I was able to manage my projects well using it.
Easy to navigate, important "hot items" displayed clearly on the projects screen.
Using the other features is a learning curve but not difficult. As with most software, the more you use it, the more proficient you become.

As an administrator I and my team have done more than was done during implementation. It is a reasonably intuitive system and we are getting things where they need to be
Compiling all project data in one place as a one source of truth
The implementation was very long with extended periods where both sides were unproductive and we were not given any initial product training so we could effectively engage with the implementation team

Hi, i am using this program from 1 year, and i have appreciated the latest updates, especially the drag and drop functions. If we have a bit of dexterity with the PC, the system is rather simple. it allows a good management of drawings and ufficial documents between the various company involved in a project. The only one thing that take away my time is when i must open the closed items. We supposed to have 100 item within a 1 package and all items and the package are closed. For some reason we need to open the items, to do this we must enter into every single item and open it, it would be nice to do this in one shot. Regards AR

This software is required to be used by one of our clients, for the most part okay but can improve.
The Progress step of Change Orders, Field Work Order and Pay applications are easily accessible.
This product cannot produce a decent Pay application Report that tells the summary or everything including stored materials etc.

I like the tool very much.
Accurately manages project costs. I like the budget detail layouts for the project. I value the refusal of invoices without commitments and budget amounts in place.
Learning curve with process. Some screens are not very intuitive leading me to the next step. Lacks consistent way that you move from one screen to the next.

Everything in one place
It is very easy to find what you want. everything is arranged in a orderly fashion so that you can take a look at the menu and go right to what you need.
You can't look at more than one thing at a time. If you open one category you have to close and go to another category you want to make sure everything is saved.

We were able to collaborate with the owner on the project we were working on.
It is very easy for the end user to know what is in their court because there is a home screen and home court that you see all items in 'Your Court'.
Customer service is not very responsive and they usually take 2-3 days to respond to your request.

Easy to use, but lacks substance. Not easy training videos on youtube.
Its not innovative at all, falling extremely far behind other software. Its ok for accounting tracking but not good for construction daily uses.
Does nothing for real life construction progress.

I've used e-builder for at least 6 years and I finally really appreciate the use for it now. E-builder is much more easy to use now and I really love the recently added feature of drag and drop. There was just way too much clicking before. It was very time-consuming. But with drag and drop, it's much simpler.
New features make it much easier to use.
Still, have to do more than desired to upload files

This was a big commitment by our organization to change the way we manage capital projects. The implementation went better than expected. Immediate payback in improved organization and instant web-based access to construction phase information and reports.
Intuitive owner-based tools and processes. It's like they know how we manage our work. Incredible access to customer support. Most concerns get addressed by monthly roll-out of software improvements.
There are so many tools and features, it is hard to prioritize what to roll out first.

I am part of the Construction Management team that worked with a client who utilizes e-Builder for all their organizations construction project needs. They have it integrated with their accounting system, and utilize it for the full spectrum of project controls. I found the program to be moderately difficult to learn initially, but once the base components became familiar it provided a solid tool that allowed for communication across the project. The largest difficulty was in getting the design and construction vendors to upload their documents and process them within the system. Once they were within eBuilder it became easier to hold the appropriate parties accountable.
The email notifications that specified the need for Action.
The rigidity of the workflows. There was an issue with the RFIs going directly to the design team without oversight by the CM. This had potential for generating change orders in both design and build without oversight or authorization by the client or CM as the client representative. The best we were able to accomplish was the simultaneous notification of the CM so that we were aware and able to address our scope.

Improved teamwork.
It's easy to navigate, and easy to search. The ability to use forms and get reports improves the speed, efficiency, and quality of the work. The forms were easy to use and distribute. It's easy to share information and organizes every aspect of a project.
Hard to attach photographs to a form. The photograph command button only allowed one photograph. I had to trick it to load the fifty - five hundred photographs that I need to have for field reports.

Very good experience through implementation, training, use, and integration with our Lawson ERP accounting system.
All pertinent project controls integrated into a single package developed by a vendor who understands the Owner's construction process.
Schedule module can be clunky & somewhat inflexible. User manual helpful but could be vastly improved.

I like that it facilitates total transparency and real-time communication for ALL aspects of a project- from designers to quality control to finance to general contractor to contract administration.
It has a long learning curve. You have to really use it, a lot, to start to understand all the layers.

All the documents are recorded one place and they reachable through the web everywhere.
Well organized for Program Management. The way the different workflows are set up makes it easy to use.
Not easy to distinguish between the gray documents (Inactive) and the active ones. The notifications are not customized enough.

Creating processes and customizing them to our specific user needs and expectations.
My only minor nitpick is the redundancy of certain action buttons that appear on the screen above and below a table. Sometimes new users are confounded by the sheer number of action buttons and hyperlinks on the screen, not realizing that clicking the "Save" above will do the same as "Save" below.

Software is user friendly and can handle almost all aspects of a construction project from start to finish. Schedules and costs are easily tracked. Change orders and commitments are detailed and all applicable users can gather necessary information at a few clicks of the mouse.
Some processes have too many steps and actors, which can complicate the workflow and cause potential delays on a project.

I am using software daily for communicating and liaising with my managers, consultants, contractors and site supervisors. This is the best software currently available in the market and I find it very convenient when writing emails to my clients with attached large document files. My clients are very happy to communicate with me on e-builder as this is very user friendly

Overall, E-Builder is a great program for construction management. It's among the best that I've ever used, though it could still use some improvement. It could also be more tailored to design since design-build is becoming more and more the norm.
Good document control, most processes are intuitive.
Some processes seem redundant, could use more design functionality.

I like that it is a one stop shop - everything from creating a project and building a budget to closeout.
I think the submittals module could use a few tweaks. For example, it would be nice if you could customize the columns in the register.

I've found e-Builder extremely helpful in project managment. There is a big learning curve because of all of the functionalities of the program, but it's worth it. It is hard to break the traditional methods (i.e., e-mail and project folders on the hard drive), especially for those that don't like learning new software.
Customer service is great. Great way to make sure everyone has access to the latest information.
Online user's manual is not the best. Change is hard for some people, so forcing adoption can be difficult.
