eSub makes it simple to produce documents such as submittals, RFIs, and Change Order Requests. Makes it easy to manage them as well, and stamp them with a status.
Mobile is not the most intuitive. Some jobs we do not use the cost features and it would be nice to disable them.

We STILL HAVE TO USE OUR ACCOUNTING SYSTEM AND THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE....SOMETHING WE ARE WORKING ON INTEGRATING
purchasing is really easy to direct emails to the vendor and project managers
Maybe NOT AS MANY CUSTOM REPORTS AVAILABLE. SUBCONTRACTS WOULD BE NICE IF WE COULD SAVE OUR WRITTEN CONTRACT AND WITH THE VENDOR CONTACT INFORMATION AND PRICING HAVE IT AUTO FILL TO OUR CUSTOM FORM....MAYBE YOU CAN DO THAT AND I JUST NEED MORE TRAINING TO UTILIZE IT.

I like eSUB. A lot of options for reports and tracking. It's easy to use, although we have had to use several workarounds on the daily.
I like being able to see cost codes tracking with the budgets. Real time data allows for quick turns of focus and work.
It bothers me that things aren't sorted alpha-numerically in the dropdown menus. EVERY other software for any purpose puts pull downs in a sortable order.

We're extremely pleased with eSub. The timecard function is great, getting project information to our Superintendents and Foremen is immeasurable. I really like the submittal, Change Order, and RFI functions.
Too many Pros to list here. The submittal process is quick and easy, and very professional. Change orders are a snap. RFI's can be started by our field leaders on the eSub app, and finished by the PM in the office. All of these have a great tracking system through the log provided. All logs can be exported into Excel to be sent to GC's or CM's. We use the Sage 300 connector, and all project financials are current in our projects on eSub. There's a cost to complete function that is a great way to get an idea of how the project will finish. Nearly all this information is available to our field users through the app, which gives them all the project information.
Not really a Con, but it would be nice if the PO function would sync both ways through the Sage 300 connector. I believe that's a Timberline issue, though. Still, using eSub PO allows a real time look at committed costs against our project estimate.

It was a one stop shop for my change orders, time cards and daily reports.
The mobile app is not clean at all. Needs a lot of work. I also do not like how I have to do the extra leg work in order to see the real time cost of the project. I wish there was also a way for the program to pull the cost codes from my imported estimate into which cost codes are displayed in the project. it takes a long time to get the cost codes entered for a large project.

Consolidation of platforms, document control and ease of field to office and office to field communications. no more delays between information
eSub has a bundle of features that fit exactly what we need at our company.
With the upcoming switch from 1.0 cloud to 2.0 cloud we will have all the features we need.

Pros: -easy to use - streamlines project management by reducing hefty admin time spent creating documents such as: purchase orders, rfi's, sub agreements, change orders, quick memos , etc -allows for more timely contract responsiveness to our customers -makes creating submittals a breeze - produces excellent daily reports for manpower by cost code that are easy to download - excellent cost tracking...

The product is easy to use, it is friendly even for people with very basic computer knowledge to work on daily reports, which facilitates the training of new users even with the mobile APP.
I would like the electronic signature of the workers to be included in the daily reports. For the time card, the signature of the time of entry and exit would be great for the time of generating the Time report. Speaking of the Time report, it would be great if a couple more cells could be implemented that have the cost code and the phase number, the lack of that makes me have to do it manually, which requires more time.

The benefits are amazing! We can see reports and real time accomplishments from the jobsite to the office. Communication is at an all time high. I can track job costing and estimates and be able to see the job from conception to completion without skipping a beat. This software program has helped us become more organized and cost efficient. I would recommend this to everyone! Thank you!
I can see everything with my phone and anything I need is just a few keys away! Job costing, employee info and tracking is fantastic!
Teaching new employees how to use esub can sometimes be difficult. Also- it would be good to know everything that esub is capable of. I see that Esub now has an Esub academy and I feel like that would be very helpful.

We utilize the daily reports but it would be great if the pictures on those reports could be used for multiple things (as in, adding pics to the change orders prove damages by other trades, etc). If you add to field reports you can glen from there but it would be great if we could also add from daily reports.
That the Purchase Orders tied to a project and show cost associated
The only "true" cost would be to tie labor cost to each project and the integration with Quick Books is lacking for eSub.

We have solved many issues the support personnel are very professional and truly help solve issues.
I like the ease of use for the field and their ability to enter time along with upload dailies and pics.
I wish there was more ways to run reports. Especially, a report that would detail the A/R and retention amounts. I also wish you could port over subcontractor costs to QuickBooks.

It has been beneficial but always need improvement.
Daily Reports features but if the Foreman don't document they are still useless.
Not being able to be specific with change order cost codes per project. not being able to create a GC contact list from all ongoing projects .

Got me in the market of using PM software.
Simple easy to learn. Focused on the sub contractor first. Has a toolbox of forms and letter templates that is nice for a small contractor.
It was supposed to be simple and slim for the Sub Contractor not the Prime General but it left out key features and trapped your data and information. PO module is very clunky. Training and implementation was not what I expected for the price you pay. Does not integrate well with accounting.

its ok but extremely slow
keeping cost controls in place help identify a profitable and non profitable job
system is fairly good. however it is so slow to load from page to page. sometimes half my day is watching the wheel spin. this out ways the benefit as i waste way to much time on a slow system. time is money and it wastes a ton of my time

Great customer service, not difficult to implement, great value.
Flexible features that can be customized to accommodate different workflows. Instant access to field data through daily reports and field notes. Allows project drawings, pictures, communications and reports to be kept in one place available in a cloud based format. Easy to use on a mobile device or tablet.
Nothing to dislike, the customer service is very helpful if questions arise and give valuable feedback on how to utilize the software functionality to fit your workflow.

More good than bad, just some minor details that are frustrating
Good for time cards and daily log recording
The site is very slow, weather data on daily reports is inconsistent with the National Weather Service, and the website is extremely low security, if you have a valid login you can type URLs in that you shouldn't have access to an see everything.

As a hole I believe that this software will better our company. The amount of man hours that this software has been saving us the more and more that we use it is incredible. I feel that by stepping out and gaining a tool like esub we are not only becoming more efficient as a company but also becoming more competitive in our field.
The product is great and Esub's customer service is off the charts. When we needed help with an issue we had great support staff to give us a hand. The customer representative with Esub is hands down one of the best contacts to have at Esub.
My only con is at the beginning of Esub. Making sure that they understand your business so they are more understanding of the types of information that you need to for the implementation process and what information will not be necessary. Understanding of the cost codes and PO information etc.

eSub provides a great cloud-based solution that meets all of our project management and project tracking needs. As a subcontractor, it was nice to finally find a software solution that is tailored to the needs of subs and our work flow. It is easy to use and it has been easily adopted by all of our users, both in the office and in the field. I find that it covers all of the processes of a subcontracting...

Laid out well and customizable, email feature has the ability to respond for record keeping purposes. Simple design that is very effective.
Price should reflects a better breakdown of Labor, Material and Mark-Up (mark-up is not an option currently). No function for task reminders.

The ability to export to Microsoft excel.
On every update some changes that makes it a little more tedious, for example the cost code drop menu got smaller in the purchase order form and time entry form. the P/O log needs to show the description of the item for easy view and search.

The price. It is expensive. Or at least, expensive enough where our company isnt interested in getting the scheduling add.

I enjoy the standardized forms and all of the tables for tracking dates and cost. The tables are easy to read and make it easy to keep up with everything in a very organized manner.
The thing I like least is that there aren't any good ways to customize databases to each project manager/estimator. In a company as large as FL Crane, we have several different offices and even more PM/estimators, and having to filter through everyone's contacts and vendors during the job setup process can be cumbersome.
