Simple yet Powerful Payroll management system!

2019-02-06

Some parts of external Payrolls are maintained with Quickbooks.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up Quickbooks and how at the same time it is extremely powerful and has comprehensive tools to runa full stack payroll system.

Cons

I dislike that I cannot create duplicates of employees without the system throwing constant errors.

Most common software for small business accounting & will get the job done. May be better options

2017-10-10

It tracks everything we need for taxes, accounting, and payroll. It is dual-entry accounting software so it will stack up when you get to the point of needing audits.

Pros

Because it is so common, most bookkeepers and accountants will know how to use it. It is also relatively simple. It is meant for actual dual-entry accounting so if you know nothing about accounting and just need something to track your finances, this may not be for you. However, if you have employees and such you probably want a system like this. It is a good go-to option for almost all small businesses.

Cons

The integrations for e-commerce platforms are behind others. For example, other software can integrate with your Amazon account and track your sales, amazon fees, and taxes etc.. This only will track the money that ends up in your bank account. If ou want the additional information you have to import that manually.

Cons

i am currently using the trail version, hope the software have extended trail period to 90 days at least i have time to learn more and determined to use the software for my company

As an outsider, good first impressions!

2019-11-11

The fact that I, someone whose main role is communications, was able to step in and use this program in a pinch, to help out my organization, speaks volumes about its useability!

Pros

I worked for a small nonprofit that dealt with food security issues on a small island province, and because of the tiny nature of our team I often found myself covering responsibilities outside of my usual role. My use of QuickBooks fell under this, and I found the software to be feature rich and easy to use. I really liked the dashboards that it put together for you - it presents all of your financial data in a very visually appealing and intuitive way.

Cons

While it was generally easy to use, there were a few specific functions that were more complicated to use than necessary, especially when stacked up next to the vast majority of use cases, which were very simple. It's also a relatively expensive software.

Quickbooks Online Review

2018-09-05

Overall QB Online helps me run my two business from anywhere, I can process any amount of suppliers bills, make payments, run reports etc etc ... from my armchair if I wanted to. The 3rd party apps that sync up are great , you need to be prepared to put in some leg work to understand how this all hooks up but once you have it all set up it works a dream. I reckon I save 1.5 admin salaries per year using QB Online and all the other apps Overall...its worth 10 times the cost

Pros

We have been using this web based software for around 5 years having used the desktop version for 10 years prior to that. The main advantage is easy access anywhere with no concerns on backing up your data. These alone are worth the very reasonable monthly costs. I chose QB online as its market share attracts a lot of 3rd party integration App developers which help me streamline our processes and save a stack of cash on administration costs

Cons

Some years ago the UK based support was non existent, over the last 3-5 years this has been massively improved with a UK based support team. Can be a bit laggy when the USA wake up, this can be overcome by using the desktop application that somehow sync's with the Web based platform. I've never tried this, but can see how others might

Hi David,

Thanks for taking the time to write this glowing testimony. It's been great having you as a part of the Intuit Family during these past 15 years. Your review perfectly captures what QB Online is all about, which is helping business owners save time, save money, and manage their business from any location.

By the way, if you're interested in giving our desktop app a try, you can download it from this page: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/

The app generally runs faster than the browser version of QB Online, so it'd be worth checking out. We look forward to backing your business for years to come!

Great package!

2019-05-27

Pros

Most appealing features: - Clear UI: throughout the product, the software offers intuitive user interface to make any requirements, simple invoice processing, journal entries, sales invoice creation, etc. incredibly straightforward - Customer support: I came across a few errors and queries throughout my use, but support was fast, clear, and most importantly, free. - Software ‘quality’: I encountered very few bug issues with the software, no crashes and ‘hanging’ within the software that impacted my workflow.

Cons

Factors to consider in usage: - Updates: during my usage, I felt the level of updates received in terms of usability or feature upgrades was limited. For the fees paid, I wanted more significant updates. - Level of automation: while there were some automation features to speed up productivity, there are still some areas I believe can be fine tuned or introduced to reduce the reliance on manual entries, particularly with the journal entry fields. - Cloud support: when put against Xero, another application I’ve used for an SMB, the cloud features don’t stack up. Xero offers a more fully functional cloud package that bests QuickBooks
