Pros

CiviMail does an excellent job with bounce and subscription management, but it's not as user friendly as a service like MailChimp or Constant Contact for HTML mail composition.
I would recommend with reserve. Still very useful, if you do not have the budget to opt for better services.
CiviCase brings case management into to application and CiviVolunteer helps you keep track of the eager beavers who want to help your cause.

Pros

Our guests LOVED the capability to do this and we raised DOUBLE out best year ever. THAT was truly amazing and we are so pleased with our decision to use SAP.
Overall, the features are worth it. Ability to 'stage' or start a new event while keeping a recently finished event active for a bit would be a welcomed improvement.
Excellent customer service and they are willing to work with you when/if you find an issue or have something that you need help with or help understanding.

Cons

I have had some trouble using the scheduled mailings feature. Once the mailing didn't go out at all.
It's built on soon-to-be deprecated software, so investing in its deployment might be a little risky.
Sadly lacking documentation on creating extensions.

Cons

I can say that the receipt they get at check out is a little confusing to the check out staff. I know of one person that got charged for his tickets again at checkout.
They had horrible customer service and wanted to know WAY to much personal information about me in order to open an account. But that isn't Silent Auction Pro's fault.
We did a few things wrong this first time around, but that was because all of us have day jobs and did not spend adequate time to get up to speed and "didn't know what we didn't know.
