Used as out initial POS system when opened a taproom. As we grew we outgrew the system. We could have upgraded the system to continue to use but even that process was convoluted
Easy to use and program for basic point of sale system.
Report was convoluted and confusing. There were additional apps you could purchase in addition to monthly fees. Monthly fees were very, very reasonable.

It’s an okay system but there are better options out there.
It’s a very good and fast point of sale. You can create items and categories and even do gift cards!!!
Having to pay a monthly fee is what makes me quit using it all together. I’d rather just pay a fee per card than paying to use it per month.

Our Clover system is the perfect point of sale solution. The few times we have had problems customer service handled the problem quickly.
It is practically intuitive for our sales staff to use it; their is little to no training needed.
There is nothing about using this software we don't like!

The product has been a good software for our company to increase our security.
We switched to clover because our bank recommended it for keeping our point of sale credit card transactions secure. We have been very happy with them
We have had no problems with security in our point of sale credit card transactions. We have been very happy with this software

This sotware has been excellent for consumer loyalty purposes. The simplicity of them logging in at the point of sale to accumulate points or to uses points has worked extremely well.
There are no concerns with the software at this time.

Clover is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had I a retail setting. We have pushed clients to look at the Square, Shopify or LightSpeed point of sale systems in its place.
Not much to like about Clover. It gets businesses with its cheap entry pricing and variable processing rates sound good but in reality it will bleed you dry.
Everything about Clover is just terrible. It’s a clunky Android user experience, the “apps” are just annoying upsells for features that should be built into the point of sale, and the payment processing can be expensive if you get a lot of AMEX and Discover cards.

Initially when looking for a point of sale system it really needed to be easy to use and integrate from my old system. Aaron from Clover was great to work with and very very patient in answering all of my questions.
Honestly...NOTHING...overall this is a great inclusive product that you can change and modify to your liking. You can make it do what you need it to do. That is the best part...I was able to customize it and make it work for my unique business.

I have been able to reduce time spent integrating sales with quickbooks. I have been able to reduce time spent on payroll. By automating processes through Clover, I am running more efficiently.
I love the ease of use, especially for training employees of diverse age ranges and abilities. Point-of-sale is faster, the addition of gift card and customer loyalty apps are easily integrated and increase customer satisfaction, and any issues that come up are easily managed.
The inventory app is good, but not great. My inventory is broken into some unusual categories and I haven't been able to find a good work around. For example, bulk mulch is sold by color in full and half yards, but I haven't found a way to reduce the inventory accordingly.

Want to have a seamless point of sale software and this was not it. The approval process was difficult and extensive just to find out they are out of stock of their hardware so I am charged the manual entry rate versus the keyed in rate even thought they are out of stock of Clover Go until and undetermined time.
I like the Clover Gos swipe and cost per transaction option but it is out of stock for months. I like the dashboard.
Wanted to import products from another system and tried to match the template provided by Clover to import and never got it in. Plus size of file is limited to 10MB which for the effort I could have keyed in the few items quickly to get to the file limit size. Customer support was painful to interact with and not helpful.

Everything. Reps take forever to get back to you. Nothing works like I was promised
Not much I was told it would work for my retail location but it’s designed for a coffee shop.
Sales rep, doesn’t do what I said I needed. Doesn’t fully sync product info into QuickBooks. Only sales no actual inventory or what was sold. Had to be done manually. The company doesn’t stand behind their product. Says final sale even though website says 60 day money back guarantee.

The system was misrepresented at the time of the sale. Ow I’m having to get an attorney involved to send it back.
It looks nice.
Can’t merge checks, can’t track daily food vs alcohol for servers or bartenders, freezes up, have to buy separate extremely loud printers for the bar, combines sales taxes and tips as “total” sales, no way to see if anyone is still clocked in until Homebase emails you at 2am, will let any server use another servers cash drawer, uses to much paper in the kitchen printer, handhelds or “flexes” don’t communicate with bar or kitchen printers. Doesn’t do coursing, you have to program individual mods instead of the ability to select multiple or “build” them per order.

Clover has a mobile app operating system and develops apps for many business needs. It has a familiar interface that many cashiers are familiar with, and it can be learned very easily.
You need to switch apps for doing different tasks. At a point of sale, this may reduce overall speed for high volume processes. If your business decides to use another POS in the future, clover locks you in by forcing you to pay the rest of the plan and devices you may have signed up for in the beginning. Customer service treats you like debt collectors.

They are dishonest and I will never do business with them again.
The POS hardware was slim and nice looking.
This was a hard sale from the beginning. They roped me in with promises and demonstrations of greatness. I bought the system only to find out that most of what they promised could only be accomplished with additional purchases.

Overall, Clover is a great choice for small businesses looking for a comprehensive and flexible POS system. It offers a wide range of features, is easy to use, and is supported by a responsive customer support team.
Clover is a popular point of sale (POS) system for small businesses. The system offers a wide range of features, including inventory management, financial reporting, customer management, and integration with various payment processors. The user interface is easy to navigate and the system is relatively easy to set up. The customer support team is also very responsive and helpful. One of the biggest advantages of Clover is its flexibility. It can be used on a variety of devices, including tablets and smartphones, which allows for easy and efficient transactions on the go. Additionally, Clover offers a wide range of hardware options, from basic card readers to full-featured POS terminals, so businesses can choose the option that best fits their needs.
Conecting with another hardware is litlebit tricky, only expert can do this.

I am happy with the use of Clover processing and Clover in-store products, like the cash register.
What I like most about the software is that integrates into QuickBooks. I also like the report summaries.
What I like least about the software is that during integration it can create or choose categories that are incorrect in QuickBooks.

Clover was easy to use and easy to set up with QuickBooks. I would recommend it to other clients.
I like that you can have Clover integrate with Quickbooks to brings sales data directly into the file
I wish Clover was better about explaining how they take out their fees monthly with clients and importing that in with sales deposits. My client had trouble with this each month because sometimes they would reduce deposits and sometimes they would just charge the fee so she always had to search to figure out what happened.

Nice interface and good looking from a visual point of view for the mini on the counter. Convenient for card and in store transaction processing
Too many 3rd party integrations that are not well integrated to the clover platform itself. Lacking the automation and flexibility needed for a salon business.

We own a boutique where we also offer screen printing and embroidery. The clover system was sold to us as full POS system. Not the case at all. We were all excited to get started with it. It looked modern, cool, and expectations were high. When we tried to ring up our first printing order of more than 100 pieces we found our first issue. The system will not allow sales of items with a quantity...
It looks nice, fairly easy to use. It's really hard for me to think of much good to say about it. When a POS won't run and inventory value report with totals and won't ring up items with quantities over 100, it's hard to find the Pros.
Won't process quantities over 100. Customer service is horrible. Can't run an inventory value report. Customer service is not knowledgeable at all. Seems anything you need is an add on app that cost you more. Did I say Customer service is horrible...

Maybe works for restaurants.
Easy to use, looks nice sitting on counter, comes with everything you need, OK I'm making up stuff just to reach the 100 character limit here.
No ability for layaway's, unable to take deposits, very glitchy, must pay for apps for additional features, refunds are very difficult as well as exchanges, must refund entire complete original sale and create a new one just to exchange 1 item.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We have had a major issue caused by their mistake and they in no way will communicate with you when you have an issue
The ease of use. Since at this point it is all I like about this program I highly doubt I will continue with it. Easy use is not enough, I need customer service also.
Clover/Fiserv customer service is horrible. You can never talk to anyone with any authority to get anything done about your problem. They do not answer emails EVER

Quick transactions
It's very quick to process the payment, it gets right to the point unlike other card machines take so long and have so many questions.
I don't like the placement of where you insert a card with a chip. I feel like it shouldn't be the same place as to swipe a card because customers try and insert the chip and it goes in he wrong spot into where you slide it

We are overall really happy for the price point. We do have a few things we would change, and we would like to see the glitches fixed.
Clover is quick for training of new employees. We like the options for additional apps and absolutely LOVE the round up with Donors Choose.
We have hit a few glitches - we cannot return after processing a payment with a split tender. We have 3 instances where the system has processed a payment but at the end the order is still "open", this issue is still being resolved with customer service.

For the price point, hardware, and the basic software suite, Clover is enough to get the job done. The 3rd party app system is just not great, and felt that I'm having to pay for features that should have been part of the main software suite.
The hardware is excellent, looks great, and is easy to set up. Has some great options on the retail front. Great system for a beginning business.
The app based options are not great. Some have great functionality, but has an added monthly cost for using some of them. The app store atmosphere and added subscriptions from 3rd party vendors was a bit of a letdown. The system is not as versatile or intuitive as an NCR Silver system which I am more familiar with. Permission leveling for certain features is poor.
