Our experience with Corsizio has been excellent. Since moving to their platform we have saved money, saved time & energy managing our class registrations and have saved our class administrators a ton of grey hair. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an inexpensive but powerful online class registration system.
Corsizio is extremely easy to configure and use. We were set up and running with the platform within just a couple of days. The admin menus & settings are intuitive and there is enough control to customize the platform to your liking, without having so many options as to be overwhelming. It is super easy to add classes, add registrants, transfer registrants between classes, issue coupons & refunds, process credit cards and all of the other admin tasks involved with managing class registrations. Their support, both in-person and online is excellent, and their pricing model is incredibly fair.
A WYSIWYG editor for class descriptions and emails would be nice. Having to learn/use markdown formatting is a bit cumbersome. And it would be helpful if Corsizio integrated with payment solutions other than just Stripe.

I think software should be useful but also a pleasure to use. Corsizio is both.
Having searched for an alternative to Squarespace Acuity for about 6months and trialled probably close to 60 other offerings I settled on Corsizio for a number of reasons : 1. Ability to offer services / courses etc as multiple businesses rather than just one. 2. Ease of set-up and excellent help both as a library and through messaging / email. 3. Low start up cost. I wanted to keep costs low to begin with. 4. Ability to group class days together easily as a package. I have used Squarespace for 12yrs and Acuity is a nightmare.
A few small things I have noticed. 1.Inability to upload images to courses, although you can add image URL pretty easily. 2. Inability to change course banner image size. Its ok as it is but it would be good to be able to adjust. 3. Inability to add logo to booking page header.

Just to touch on a couple of points you mentioned, when you configure a logo for your account's auto-generated portal, then that will be the brand logo that gets displayed at the top of all public pages for your events, including the main event details page where a person would see the "Register" button. The event cover photo is based on its size upon creation and if you want to be shorter, you can make it short and wide before you upload it. It does have to fit nicely in a few spots, so a nice and balanced rectangular shape is always best.
