The ease of use with the implementation of Cvent Flex is a game changer. No longer do you need to know HTML in order to create a beautiful, on brand, event registration site.
Account managers aren't always the most attentive if you don't have a huge contract with Cvent.

It is very customizable! You are able to edit everything and program it according to your event and theme.
It is time consuming and can be overwhelming with all of the options. It takes a bit of learning to get familiar with all of the software.

I use Cvent daily! Regardless of the meeting size (10 attendees vs 100), Cvent is crucial for my industry. It allows me to do everything from blast out invites, to submit air requests.
Cvent really is the one stop shop for event management. It allows you to do virtually everything in terms of planning a meeting or event, inviting attendees, registration, booking hotel and flights, etc. It is an essential tool for any event professional!
The new Cvent Flex is not very user-friendly, because it is so incredibly different from the original Cvent. Invitees have been having a really difficult time adjusting to the new layout and registration process, as certain features has been moved or removed completely. I do however like the updated look of the event websites.

We have been using CVent for our fitness conferences for approximately three years. The program is average at best. I am disappointed that there is not more customization since many of the reports and functionality are very difficult to gear towards your specific business. Additionally, we have had some issues with the program accepting payments from customers along with the way that the reports...
The software is fairly easy to use.
The software does not provide customization.

Cvent has a lot of benefits. Registration, mobile app, reporting. It is all very helpful when trying to run the back end of your event. Cvent Community is great for self training and the support is always available and very helpful. It was a great decision to start using Cvent for our events.
The Cvent Event Management portal is very user friendly. Its easy to use and very adaptable to design. It integrates well with other aspects - i.e. passkey, concur, CrowdCompass, making our lives easier on the back end. I love how you can duplicate events so you don't have to start from scratch every time you have a new event.
While the updates are great, they were not completely ready for roll out. There was a ton of features not available in the new Flex that we were using with the classic events and this was not communicated to us before designing our event in Flex (also, that was our only options because the removed classic from our account). BUT, Cvent did replicate our event for us in classic mode for the hassle. It is also very expensive, but I'd say it is worth the money.

Cvent has the widest-reaching integration options in the industry. There is no other event management with the same universal recognizability. Our clients are very comfortable with us using Cvent because they are familiar with the software, having seen it everywhere.
Cvent is constantly re-evaluating what is of the most value to planners, attendees, and event stakeholders, and creating/updating their products accordingly.
The software is not intuitive to use, and there is a strong learning curve for new users. We do need to allocate resources towards training when new team members start learning Cvent. Once you are used to it, it comes a bit easier, but I would not say that ease-of-use is their strongest point. I do know they are working to change this.

It' is easy to use and easy to understand the basics to get the job done. You really can't make a huge mistake that can't be fixed or changed.
Honestly I can't say right now that there is anything I like least. Wish there were maybe a few more ways to sort venues.

Best way to organize an event and get the registration going.
ease to use/ customer support. I also enjoy having an account manager assigned to our company. She is my go-to person for everything and if she doesnt know the answer, she will find out who does and get back to me.
back end is a bit hard to navigate, have to go thru many screens to get to where you need to be at times.

We have truly enjoyed using Cvent as our primary registration management tool for our Regional events and annual conferences. Reporting and communication tools have allowed us to interact with participants in new ways while further allowing us to respond to shifting trends or needs across our global events.
- We love the supplier network and ease of sending/receiving RFPs and responses. - Excellent reporting features for data management - On-site badge printing and check-in removes the fear of rushes and the need for temporary registration staff.
- Over customization for our builds has made integration with other softwares more difficult - Limited to 10 participants per group for group registration - Difficult to format emails/websites if you have no experience in Html/CSS

I have used a couple different tools and Cvent is bar far the most robust. You get a lot of bang for your buck - in my opinion it's worth every penny.
Their customer service team is unreal - I have never had such prompt connection or assistance from ANY software...ever! While some of the functionality isn't intuitive, the Cvent team takes the time to drill down to where you are having trouble, walks you through the solution and then...checks back up to make sure it all worked out for you! THE BEST!
Roadmap progress is slow ... features take a while to launch...

A centralized database of information, easy tracking of registration, payments, and specific contact information; waitlists.
I like that I can easily manage the registrants, see all of their important information and run reports.
I don't like how complex the back in is when you are trying to change something later on. I wish it was more like Wix or similar software where you can see exactly what you are changing in real time.

Love the ease of hotel sourcing, allows for quick reviews of properties and easy access to send multiple bids at once. Presents a nice grid to show to clients of all the bids you receive.
One con would be it's very overwhelming at first but they do offer a huge supply of training videos, articles and customer support.

I have worked with what is now Cvent for many years and several different names. It is a valuable tool and has excellent features. There are times they are trying to add the next best thing without improving on the core elements.
Cvent has been around for years and is constantly updating and adding more features. Their customer service line is always helpful, and I like the fact that they send you the articles so you can learn more.
I feel that when they add new tools, they aren't always looking to see how that new improvement may affect other areas. Also, when they add new tools, they fully look at the new tool and make sure that it does everything the user needs it to do.

-Customer Retention as it's an easy tool for their clients to use
-Efficiency, I can duplicate an event which cuts my overall time, enabling me to create more events -Not having to create multiple site for one event because it has different registration types with different air and hotel dates. This platform has registration paths and advanced rules to fix that. -Numerous templates to choose from when designing an event -Helpful customer service representatives, always willing to assist -Excited about Flex coming out, which will have the drag and drop
-Cannot update all registration pages at once like the registration questions for different types of registration paths -For events with roommates with different registration types I cannot have some fill out their roommates name and others select from a drop down, I have to do either or.

I use Cvent's Event Management software on a daily basis, whether it is creating emails, managing events, or reporting, as well as many other functionalities that the software offers. I wouldn't be able to complete my job without it. The ease of the functionality enables me to complete the tasks for my events in an efficient way that is not time consuming.
One of my biggest complaints about Cvent is the outages. They create inconveniences in being able to access certain parts, if not all the parts, of the software. Cvent support is typically great at working on these issues and getting the software back up.

The event guide (schedule/agenda) is probably the most used feature of the app by our attendees. It's great bc it links to the sessions, they can click through to see where they are on the map, and they can see the speakers and bios as well. The gamification helps us get the attendees to use the app and get engagement going. I also like the sponsorship opportunities w the splash screen and banner ad graphics. It easily integrated w CVENT so our attendees are updated in real-time.
Most features are good and useful. I do feel like the support from CrowdCompass staff could be better and more timely.

CVENT has many bells and whistles and is an amazing piece of software. The events you can set up can be complex and your customers can have a great experience.
The software can almost be too complicated when you want to put on a simple event. We use it here at Long & Foster for classes and many classes don't need to be presented as complicated events. Sometimes creating simplistic classes takes just as much time as the more complex company events.

Easiness of receiving leads, responding to them (happens very rarely), the set-up of the supplier network AND the new integration with the CRM
Needs to have a few more simple ways for DMO's to use (Lead qualification), etc. - with the integration to CRM I'd like to see a bit more flexibilities

The brand name appealed and the supplier searching abilities but overall not a good program for the money. They overcharge and much better competitors out there.
We used cvent for over 10 years for our events. And each year the costs kept increasing, despite the ease of use and features did not. To clean our email lists was hard to do. The reporting features hard to access and understand. There were no templates to create our emails with. The high costs did not equate to being worth it. We changed to Perfit for our emails. And Cacob for our registration and both we pay a fraction of the cost for a much more attractive looking website, features and easier to use.

It makes most of my event setup, deployment, and roi easier to set up and understand.
I like the ability to set up most aspects of my event in one program. I like the customization options and that some areas are super reponsive to any little tweak without diving into code.
HTML is still used in some areas which makes editing hard. There are aspects of the program that are 'locked' until you ask your account representative about the functionality and they unlock them for you or explain where there are hidden.

Overall I would not hesitate to say that Cvent app has lot more features to offer you than other competitors app. Buyers can go for it without any single doubt. Our company has a corporate tie up with Cvent for last long.
The Cvent app is the best event management app that solves and covers each & every aspect of the events from the scratch. The best part is that it offers the customised branding of the event. The registration process is very easy to use. The tracking and reporting features allows you to export the information.
I have faced a challenge sometimes while importing the large files of contacts. More over i have no specific complaints

Our company has been hosting conferences for almost 6 years. We first used a homegrown registration system and manual entries in Excel, then used WuFoo forms, and finally graduated to RegOnline and it's full set of features. The real-time integration in Airtable is awesome. I also like that we can restrict which fields various team members see from our registration lists. The automated follow up emails alone are worth the cost.
Our events do have a lot of no-shows because of the nature of events, so it does hurt to have to pay a price-per-registrant model knowing that on average somewhere between 40-60% of registrants aren't going to come.

Overall: Meetings, launches, galas, partnerships, conferences, commencement Cvent is constantly evolving and they are at the forefront of industry changes and always keep customer needs on their mind. support is amazing. client service specialists on-all 24/7 and they have an option for chatting in the Support Center. I also love the fact that the technologies are constantly changing and staying up-to-date. this is critical as a user in my organization
I dislike the shift in focus and functionality of the new Flex event builder. there are too many ways to do the same thing.
