The support is amazing, and makes it possible to provide our members with a positive experience.
The Event Management allows registrants to have a smooth registration experience and conference experience. It allowed us to capture a great deal of information for the seven registration paths we need for our largest event.
I know that training is offered but “cheat sheets” and short term links to videos for training not offered on demand would be helpful.

Overall, Cvent is great to work with we have wonderful account staff that is willing to work with us and support our processes.
Being able to copy from past events to quickly open registration is a key feature used within our organization
Overall Cvent rolls out platforms before they are fully baked and expects users to convert. Recent examples include Flex when the question library is unavailable, a HIGHLY used feature in my organization. Also, new reporting when the data filters are appropriately working. Unfortunately they tie your hands by requiring you to use the new options to use upgraded features or new products.

I've been using Cvent for almost 3 years now and love this software so much. Everyone from the sales team to account management to customer service is absolutely amazing. The best people I've had the opportunity to work with.
Very user friendly and easy to understand. If I have a problem or questions, the Customer Service team is so easy to contact and offer immediate feedback and solutions.
Some of the event settings seem to be is places I wouldn't think to look for them, and I wish I had an "Apply to All" feature that I could check if I wanted my settings to be the same for all my registration paths or registration path pages. Its annoying when I make an update and then have to make that change on each path or in each page.

Overall a great event management platform - exporting reports is easy and toggling between multiple events, and being able to integrate with our organization's website presence and branding is huge!
I appreciate the real-time check in - with percentages of # of people checked in and the post-event reports to streamline post-event segmented communication with those who actually attended and those who registered but didn't attend.
Wish it would sync with our CRM to help track attendance in our own database, and be able to export based on our database IDs - this would make our processes even smoother and more accurate.

Its a decent platform but can get really expensive when you're a business on the rise. Since you have to purchase a set number of registrations you have to pay more if you go over. As our webinars took off we quickly ate up what we had for registrations, requiring us to purchase more. Outside of that I really do enjoy the level of customization when it comes to event emails and the event website.
Email marketing is a very important aspect of our events and I really enjoyed the customization ability within Cvent Events. It is a very user friendly interface and making edits to copy or design can be done quick and easy. Many other softwares have basic email templates and require coding to get things just right, but not with Cvent.
The overall stability of the software has been a pain point for us, especially as of late. Entire outages in the middle of us lauching webinars that leave us unable to access the software at all some days. When something does break, customer support isn't always the most helpful.

My favorite part is the ability to create personalized website for your event where you can create a full branding indentity and give a maximum of information. Secondly the automation of communication allow me to create all my comms at once an programme the sending. I dislike the fact that there is no mobile app with a lighter version of Cvent to manage it on the go.

Ease of use for our conference/convention registration for attendees.
Once you gain an understanding of the pathways, it is easy to use . Mistakes on the user's end can be easily rectified.
I don't understand everything, but I also haven't taken the time to go through the manual. Once I read the 'need to know' sections of the manual, I'll be set.

It's easy to use and works well for our business.
It is easy to navigate, I don't have to go layers deep to make updates or find something. I like that I am able to make changes to specific language for each path.
I wish there was an easy way to see the visbility of each website page, without having to click on the specific page.

Cvent enables us to manage our entire event cycle, and stay organized and on-track through the process. It also enabled us to quickly pivot to virtual events when COVID hit, and we were able to scale quickly by 5X.
Cvent Event Management is a one-stop shop for event management. You can create event landing pages with multiple registration options, you can create event emails including reminders. It has the ability to integrate with many other event software such as Zoom, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc., with the ability to track event attendance and even (almost) automate the process of providing CE credit to attendees. It also has great reporting capabilities.
It's a big financial investment. It's not easy to slice and dice your attendee data in any way you would like and there is no easy way to make mass updates or changes to attendee data (for example: find all bounced emails in which the contact has never attended an event - and delete them).

Overall, Cvent is a great software for creating, marketing, managing and reporting on events. The ease of use make it a great option for a diverse array of attendees and a powerful tool for our planning team.
Best part of Cvent is the seamless integration of the website landing page and the intuitive, user-friendly registration process. It allows us to customize our event communication and attendee experience in a way that best fits our constituents'' needs.
There are additional integration features we would like to see, but are working on with our existing CRM platform and online payment software.

I have appreciated the change over to the new Flex system. I was hesitant at first as I have used the classic system for many years. However, as I have become more familiar, I am enjoying the flexibilty and capabilities of the design functionality. Once I got past the learning curve, I have found that it is easier to build sites with more complex designs, more ability to personalize for each event, etc.
The learning curve to understand the Flex system was difficult. I also would like to see increased functionality in the reporting features.

We love Cvent and have used it for more than 5 years now. The frustrations are more than worth it for the benefits we receive. It has helped move our main annual event to a world-class level conference.
A full-featured customizable event website that is integrated with the event registration process, abstract management, and mobile app. I also like that we are able to automatically send our attendees their continuing education credits after the event is ove.
Cvent tends to launch products before they are fully functional which is very frustrating. It is also not always intuitive to use. Website design is not "drag and drop" and can be cumbersome to customize. It can also be expensive to add the extra features you need for your event.

I enjoy how Cvent is a one-stop shop for event management. You are able to send all communications, track invitee responses, manage room blocks, and monitor attendance numbers.
Innovation & improvements are lacking. The interface can be clunky for example there are multiple screens and tabs to go to in order to manage the room block. A new product - Flex is coming out but it has taken awhile to get it up and running.

We are able to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events across the entire business. Each department has benefitted from the event team integrating and using cvent. With cvent we are able to host tens of events each week and reach a broader audience than ever before!
I personally like the ease of setting up events and registration pages, clean data capturing in reporting, and the ability to push those reports to a shared company-wide portal.
I personally would love to see feedback surveys in the cross-event reports section so I do not have to do any manual data collection and manipulation.

Very intuitive and saved mucho time for our sourcing team. We are able to administer it and have about 15 people in the field working closely with us to source most effectively.
The great inventory selection. Love the maps and filters. Like the information showing the meeting space offerings and the age of the venue and information such as last renovation. Really like the comparison reporting.
Wish we had access to Trip advisor so I can review recent reviews and ratings for lodging when I'm booking meetings that require lodging. Cumbersome to jump back and forth between CVENT and Trip Advisor. Imperative that our employees feel comfortable and safe with the lodging choices. Ratings for cvent venues do not necessarily mirror lodging ratings. Lodging drives my choice for the meeting venues when lodging is also required.

Cvent tackles all the classic event problems and even things that you didn't know could be an issue. Time savings is the initial benefit.
The support given around all solutions. 100% felt everyone was invested in our success. There is something for every organization, every challenge and existing issue is solvable with Cvent. It was refreshing not to have to jump to many different tool to accomplish our meetings and events.
It's a little intimidating to get into at first. There's just an overwhelming amount of capability. We didn't really know where to start. Once you cross that start line things get rolling.

Cvent is a very frustrating software. It seems like they don't actually consult meeting planners, or else they would know why certain things are needed (assigning meeting rooms to agenda items, making registration items mandatory - right now you have to make mandatory registration questions to be sure you have accurate numbers and then a separate, duplicate process to have them also add their registered events to their agenda to be sure they have an accurate schedule, they need better event templates, they need to eliminate being able to do the same thing in three different ways/locations of the software - this makes it hard to be consistent through the whole process.
You can duplicate an event.

It hasn't been seamless but we have a large volume of events being managed and I would 1000% NOT want to go back to the old way we did things. This makes things seamless, integrates well w other capabilities and I think is user friendly once you are comfortable w the platform.
OnArrival changed the way we do meetings for the better.
Some features are nit customizable even w an RFP so it doesn't always fit our business need but there are workarounds.

The biggest benefit is that we now have a software system to manage our events for us. Before CVENT, it was managed manually which was extremely time consuming especially since we are all volunteers who do not plan events on a regular basis.
Easy to run reports; post payments/credits; print name badges/certificates, go out for RFP's, send emails to those listed in the database.
Having to recreate an event each time even with the copy feature. There always seems to be something that doesn't copy correctly. Honestly, it is really expensive to use.

We used to suffer in the past when requesting to organize an event, as organizational matters, sending invitations, and registering attendance required us to use many applications and also send a lot of emails. With Cvent, things have become much smoother, as through one platform we can perform all organizational and administrative operations, which I greatly appreciate.
I love the fact that Cvent enables us to do a lot of organizing things related to the events we host in one place, where in a few simple steps we can prepare and send invitations to targeted contact lists as well as register attendance. It's great how Cvent's capabilities enable us to shorten processes, as the high-quality automation it provides enables us to do so much more automatically. I really appreciate how Cvent enables us to host teleconferences efficiently, allows us to manage them with great flexibility, and also we were able to collect attendee feedback and send responses. I really appreciate the data that we're able to organize within Cvent logs, as well as the ease of reporting.
You only need a few simple training to master its use and get the most out of it, and Cvent's support team will help, as they are very friendly and quick to respond to any inquiries.

This software can be used for in person or virtual events. Has the ability to deploy simple, one day webinars or handle the logistics of more complicated, multi-day events. Customer service is outstanding and the ability to customize different user experiences is appreciated.
Sometimes this system is "too complicated" for simple events. Can be tedious and there is a lot of room for error because the system is so complicated and robust. Features often change so it's hard to keep up with changes and best practices.

I've used Cvent in both for a non-profit industry association and in the corporate industry. Cvent encompasses a lot of the tools needed for industry associations and the service they provide to help was excellent. Using Cvent in the corporate industry has been okay however it's lacking on some items that corporate meeting planners really do need and use. I do feel confident that Cvent does listen to their clients and they do submit enhancements to their software that actually gets implemented.
Sending an email to all the no responses has been easier than ever. Custom reports

i would say its been ok. a lot of time spent becoming the expert to know the true capabilities of the platform and how to make it work for us.
integrated with reg site and mobile app was a big benefit at first.
areas are the platform arent inherently connected. everything is sort of 'bolted on' to their platform. sometimes you have to use an entirely different link and login credentials to access it. even parts of the platform that are connected.. you leave one area to get to a new one and the look/feel and functionality is completely different.

My experience with Cvent Event Management has been rather positive. While I may see a better way to set things up to be more efficient I think it does a good job of completing the job.
I feel the software is fairly easy to use. Learning to do the key functions I need on a daily basis didn't take much time at all. The extra learning tools available, such as the community, help out a lot when tackling new parts of the software I was still learning about.
Some of the features aren't very efficient and can add unnecessary time to work. The media library, for example, isn't set up in a very intuitive way at all. This can make it difficult for multiple users to keep track of the files causing extra work in the long run. My biggest issue with the software is the amount of clicks it can take to complete some tasks. It may be a small task but requires many steps.
