It's a 8.5/10. Sometimes it's pretty simple to get what you need and sometimes you will get frustraded by it. They should improve reports and only launch new features (specially only push us to use them) when they are completly functional, instead of using us as a beta group.
You can also work around the system to get what you need for the event. There are some limitations though.
I'm not aware of the cost. This information is held from company users.

Whether it be a simple gathering of 20 attendees for training purposes, or a large national meeting with several complexities for 850 attendees, Cvent has been an excellent solution which provides our tiny, 4-person department with every tool we need to plan and execute successful events from start to finish.
Overall the integration was seamless, and the software automated many of our processes and has helped make us a more effective team. What I like most about Cvent are the reporting tools, and their support desk is one of the best I have ever worked with.
In terms of website and registration design, it is not always the most user friendly software, and adapting to the new Flex platform was a bit of a struggle at first because it does not have all of the same features enabled that I was used to using in Classic, but that's not a deal breaker. They offer comprehensive training classes.

It's easy to set up events and customer support is very responsive (although I do wish the online documentation was a little more complete).
It's difficult to customize the design or URLs of your event website/registration pages, which makes for a less than optimal experience for users and for tracking. There are a lot of reporting options, though I do wish I could get more granular - for example, I'm unable to see the last field a potential registrant filled in on a form.

I have realized it is important to be trained. We have done more training and success groups with Cvent, which have helped tremendously.
Cvent has great customer service. I have found that all of my problems have become concerns of Cvent. They truly invest in their partners and customers.
I absolutely feel as if Cvent has a lot more down the pipeline. They are well versed in the industry but there have been others : Wix, Weebly, Wordpress who have already made similar products for small businesses.

We use cvent Event Management on a daily basis. We build registration websites for events and conferences ranging from 20 people to 3000+ people.
The websites are easy to set-up with their widget systems. Sites are user friendly. It's a good product for event registration.
It seems there are almost daily issues that shut down the software intermittently. It's important that the software bugs happen less frequently.

The system is robust and can connect with other systems almost seamlessly and it provides planners with the ability to to control their events and provide clear ROI reports.
You can only use one email per event. If I want to have a sponsor register their booth and register themselves separately, it requires a separate email. You cannot run reports by organization. I have organizations that want a report showing who has attended which event for the past 5 years. This is difficult to run.

Cvent has improved our event participants' experience during registration, with admin and group registration and automatic confirmation, receipt and invoice emails. Our team spends less time updating and monitoring registration. Parked reports allow our partners to check in anytime they'd like. We have the flexibility to sell different packages for different audiences.
Sometimes you'll want to use a feature for the first time, but didn't really set up the event from the beginning correctly to use the feature. There's a learning curve in standardizing how each org. will set up events and use Cvent features.

We have Quadrupled our capacity to provide event support with the same number of clients. We have tripled our collected fees and increased our profit returned to clients from programs 20 x. Registration is also 4 x higher than before implementation
Cvent saves so much time through automation of processes. We have more than quadrupled our capacity with same number of people
The contact management is not a query tool so you need to export to really did into the data or integrate a CRM solution if you manage a lot of data

Sometimes there are options that are not readily apparent that you need to enabke or disable them for your event to be set up correctly.

As a hotelier we have a strong trust on cvent since long and strongly recommend it.
Cvent is one of the renowned and popular cloud based event management tool. Being a hotelier this product is widely used in the hospitality industry and has all the features that you can expect from an event management software.
Some features are very tedious and hard to understand but yet the customer support services are amazing.

I was using Cvent to support, manage, track Chinese tourists' booking for especially trips to European countries. Despite there were some small issues which I mentioned above, overall quality, productivity and flexibility were very high. Therefore, Cvent can be a good choice for event management activities in all sizes companies.
1) It is flexible and easy to track and monitor activities in different fields. Due to my personal experience, I was able to track travel destination and hotel registrations, bookings. 2) Integration functionality has been better in comparison with the previous upgrades. For instance, we integrated to ZOHO software programs successfully. 3) The intuition level of the software is very good since it makes groups of participants of meetings according to different characteristics such age, position, department. 4) Mapping feature is one of the best since a user can easily demonstrate to customers the relations between options and special demands or needs.
1) There are some limitations that one of them was the small capacity of library storage. It did not create big issues for our company but it might be updated to better 2) I and some of my colleagues had problems concerned with the formatting of reporting feature. We were not able to upload all data in the format which we wanted to report in. 3) A user might have issues to change the dates of hotel or travel after customers registration. Maybe, the Cvent can add an easy and short way to fix this issue.

Overall experience is very positive. The efficiencies we are able to achieve as a team is excellent and saves a significant amount of time and resources.
The sheer scope of functionality - it is a true work horse when it comes to the types of information you can collect and integrate across many different events and platforms.
It can sometimes be a bit limiting. It tends to fall short with very specific, detailed build cases.

The main problem that Cvent helps solves is limiting the number of hours it takes to manage the overall registration process.
We find that Cvent saves our company a lot of labor hours by automating the registration process for our events. Attendee data is kept in one central location and is available at our fingertips. We also like the hotel/venue sourcing feature which also saves us a lot of research time and simplifies the RFP process when selecting a site to host our meetings and events.
Cvent is probably the premier registration and event management software available but the overall cost and pricing is pretty expensive and is cost prohibitive for some smaller organizations.

I don't know if I could handle switching to another platform.
I would say this product is pretty easy to use if you have a design eye. You do not need to know how to code websites or anything of that nature.
There are a little too many customizable features that it can take some time to build out your event registration. It will take a little trial and error to find which setting affects what.

It's user-friendly, both to the planners and to the users. They add updates and listen to requests for changes/features. My account rep makes me feel like a real person; love the extra time she puts in to our relationship.
Some minor limitations, but they are always advancing. Our team and our events tend to have very specific needs, but Cvent help & support always help me find work-arounds if they don't have something built in (yet!).

I have used Cvent for over 8 years and seen how the company has changed over the years to become an industry leader for event registration, sourcing, and database management.
Highly Customizable, allows for "out-of-the-box" uses, creates a clean and easy to use registration process, provides easy RFP submission and collection to reduce overall manual labor and time.
Websites need to be updated, more customization for the registration process, and better reporting with added features of visualizations.

I use Cvent for websites , managing contacts and sending marketing emails. Generally, fit for purpose and easy to use. A bit clunky in places but regular updates and improvements being made. The customer support team on the phones are good, but I would prefer a guide on how to search in the help and support centre - the language I use to search doesn't often match with Cvent terms!

The editing windows on emails open out into pop up windows and the menus aren't static - you have to scroll up and down each time you want to change something - very frustrating!

My company has worked with cvent for years, and I started a year and a half ago. There are many options in cvent, which is very nice because if you want to do something, the option is usually there for you, if you know where to look. Customer support can be rough though, because the people tend not to know much about cvent, especially if it's complicated, and then they say they will get back to you, but they don't, at least not until much later (and our events are over by then...) But overall, a great product!

All the different services offered - one stop shopping to enhance the overall experience to our end user. We use registration, mobile app, lead retrivial, and on arrival services to complete our end to end experience.
Billing process with lead devices. The process for billing is too long from when the event ends and we are finally billed for services. This causes issues with our internal tracking of expenses to close an event.

It is flexible and meets many needs for event management, venue sourcing, and full SMM programs. It also allows for quite a bit of creativity and is a huge asset to a large and diverse meeting planning population.
Lacks some features, functionality, and flexibility that large corporations with hundreds of users across 5 regions might benefit from to assistance with system administration and customization to various needs.

Our events are presented to our members in a professional way.
Cvent is best of class event management software. That is the core of the product, in my opinion. The suppliers feature and a great RFP management tool that lets us reach potential venues that we would never have heard from without Cvent's help.
The ONLY drawback for us is that we cannot manage our unusual membership protocol in Cvent. Our non-profit is an association of institutions. Membership fees are paid per institution, but membership benefits are inherited by contacts employed at those member institutions. We have several contacts who are not employed by member institutions. However, the Cvent contact database is not a relational database and so it is hard to distinguish between the two types of contacts.

Cvent is a comprehensive software package that allows our university to readily communicate with our constituency and provide online programming for event registration, scheduling and follow-ups.
In my first year with higher education event planning, I so appreciate the ease with which I was able to become functional with Cvent's Event Management software. From the registration process to mass emails, website creation and scheduling; the software is user-friendly and comprehensive. The software was easily integrated with our Constituent Record Management software.
While I am able to duplicate emails and webpages within an event, it would be useful to be able to do so from one event to another.

The software is really smart. I love all of the advanced filters, data tags, and settings that let you customize your registrant's experience from start to finish. I have been using the software for three years and I'm still learning new things every day.
The software is not always user friendly or intuitive. However, they have a great customer support team that will help you figure it all out. Once you know it, you know it.

Overall using Cvent has really helped our business succeed. We are a third party meeting planning company and being able to keep all data for each of our clients organized and consistent is essential. Being able to pull real time data is so helpful.
Using the product really easy. The online tutorials for learning new features are easy and hey really help.
I don't like that not all fields are customizable in the registration modual. Sometimes this causes some problems, but there is usually a work around.

It's a great product for Events - the best out there!
I'm on the IT side and not an event planner - but I support our events team, and I really like the Cvent product. It is a great product and easy to use and if we need help, the support is the best - everyone is helpful and they will get your problem solved. I like how we can have events and a mobile app all integrated easily - we even integrate with Salesforce. And... we even integrate with our internal systems - Cvent has a great API with lots of functions and they are constantly improving the API - as well as their product as a whole.
Support is great... but over the past 2-3 years it moved from an 10/10 to an 8/10 ... but they are still helpful. I like the old reporting a bit better than the new.
