Pros

Great customer support, very easy to use brilliant for accountancy and amazing software.
After being held to one time only only for this call price and grand promises of excellent customer service.
Overall, the flexibility and customization is the best feature and the reason we stay. In addition, Epos is always updating and improving.

Pros

Price look up and price change is easy. This product is really good and affordable, I already have 3 stores, I am using same Product for My all business.
The integration between QuickBooks POS and QuickBooks itself is, as one should expect, outstanding. Both programs work exceptionally well together and make accounting very streamlined.
This software is full-featured and really does a great job of keeping track of everything going on in your store. From inventory to sales, the information is there and easy to access.

Cons

Probably the worst over customer experience I have had across any industry. And this is not after one bad experience, this is spanning 3+ years.
Insistence that the problem was Xero for over a week was frustrating until eventually a functioning link was established to the API (not a Xero problem). Then the problems really started.
I have tried since December to get this account paused and stop being charged. I've been promised every single week since the first charge that they would "pause," and refund the charges.

Cons

I have had nothing but problems. The first day we set it up there was an error and there continues to be same error message even though i have spent numerous hours on phone with customer service.
It regularly freezes up and I have to back out of they system and restart the program which is embarrassing and unprofessional when ringing up customers. Beware and do not purchase this version.
Sometimes the shortcuts are not obvious, so I end up entering wrong numbers in wrong places. It is a little too quick for me.

They lost our complete inventory two months after opening the business. We have over 2000 products in our store. It was a nightmare trying to deal with them. We aren't happy with the service at all.

Pros

Camera system integration with the point of sale is a good way to check on employees and transactions.

Cons

Customer service is horrible. Their hardware is always acting up and you have to reboot and unplug the units to try to fix new equipment. They use your credit card to pay for the equipment and monthly service which started charging me three months before we opened the business. Then we got a business credit card and switched to that card. Epos was billing both cards and wouldn't stop for 4 months until I canceled my personal card. They wouldn't reimburse me for the double billing.

Pros

Pretty simple to manage basic point of sale and stock. Customer service is always above and beyond my expectations.

Cons

I would have preferred that it came with a manual so I could read it home how to use all the different functions rather than on line. I would rather have simply bought it outright then have it constantly be updated, changed and pay monthly for it.

I am impressed with the Eposnow POS system and service, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to whoever is seriously thinking about a point of sale system. it is one thing to own a system but it is another thing to be able to help when things go wrong (and they sometimes will). Eposnow has a knowledgeable team who know what they are doing and is always ready to help.

Generally speaking its easy to use, its not complex.

Cons

There are a lot of items I can list as I am a very disappointed customer. Customer service is quoted to be 24/7. But if you're in the US you're mostly going to be told that someone in the US support team will have to get back to you during work hours. So its really not 24/7 support. Not sure about the product experience but the service is very poor.

Do not purchase for use in Canada

Appalling. Tried to get a customer service manager to call me more than a dozen times. no call back

it looked like a good product, but the service sucked!

Cons

This system cannot use different tax rates in different provinces in Canada. I was told during sale process that this was possible, but after buying I was told it was not. After EPOS confirmed this weeks after my purchase and called me a liar, saying I was told this during the sale, I called back as a new customer. I was told exactly the same false information again. I was told it does work with different Canadian Provinces. This is a dishonest company. After they lied and told me I was told this during the sale process I asked to hear the recorded phone call, which of course they could not produce.

Eposnow is a phenomenal software!

We began as a very simple bookstore, with only a couple hundred products, and thus very easy to manage. Later on, as the business grew, I realized we needed to move into the future and purchase a point of sale. Eposnow has filled that need like only they can. We originally were bogged down by the fact that some of our books had no barcodes. They were able to teach us to barcode our products, and we could use them in tandem with the pre-barcoded books! Fluid and simple, and very excited for the new update!

Pros

Everything! Easy to use, straightforward, dependable, cheap, and powerful! I've never had such an easy experience with technology, and all of my hardware has worked seamlessly with the software!

Cons

Honestly, no cons. I wish there was more customizability, but a few of my feature votes have come through such as preauthorization, so the feature voting system does work well! I also was bothered by the quality of some of the training videos, but since they were free I wasn't too surprised. The customer display sometimes reads the wrong price.

Spend the money and buy Quickbooks POS or something specific to your industry

Pros

Liked the screen layouts and way system 'held' custom orders. Liked the customer support team even though None of our requests were met or resolved

Cons

The way the system incorporated Taxes was horrific. System was a hybrid restaurant / retail solution but not specific to either. If you are a British business this may work I don't know, but for a US retailer this system is a problem. And no attempt to fix by the software writers. I would Not recommend this product.

I have had a very easy time from the delivery to the set up and use of the point of sales machines from Eposnow. My point of contact at the company provided me with quick and adequate training that I was able to effectively pass on to my staff and was incredibly useful in answering queries. The support team was also excellent.

Absolutely nothing can be said about this software or its "apps", the back office and terminal GUI are brutal to look at and not very user friendly

Cons

When inquiring about the product we asked if the system could produce a receipt showing liters/gallons in conjunction with setting new prices per liter/gallon... we were told YES.. this was NOT the case, when we asked for a solution we were told that the salesperson DID NOT say it could do the things we asked via THEIR recorded phone records! so now we are stuck with this POS (and I don't mean Point Of Sale) what I am also saddled with is paying for this POS, P.O.S. that does ABSOLUTELY nothing to improve over my current CLOVER system that is a better system than EPOS could ever dream of (also sales guy claim they are better in every way) laughable at this point. WE NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

I like it a lot, but I'm still learning how to blend it with my accounting (Quickbooks)

It is Simple to understand, and fast setup. Our employees aren't techy, but Everything worked right out of the box.

Cons

But it's a little slow sometimes between back-office and the till, I believe because the hardware is dated

I signed up for their service based on their promise of no hidden costs, but****** ONE YEAR after using******their system, I was hit with an unexpected bill for services I never agreed to. When I tried to reach out to their customer service team to get it sorted, I was met with the same unhelpful and unresponsive service...

"I had an extremely disappointing experience with Eposnow. Firstly, their customer service was incredibly unhelpful and unresponsive. I had an issue with my POS system and it took days to get any sort of response from their support team. When I finally did hear back from them, they weren't able to resolve my issue and I was left feeling frustrated and unsupported.To make matters worse, the product arrived late, long after my business's opening day. Despite the delay being entirely their fault, Eposnow didn't seem to care about the impact it had on my business. It was incredibly frustrating to have to make do without a proper point-of-sale system for several days, and it had a significant impact on my sales.

Cons

They sell you on a great system and what and they will do however they overcharge you on a monthly rate and wont refund the difference. The inside people are not qualified to change a newborns diaper let alone meet customer needs.

The till side is OK. Pretty easy to use and understand.

Cons

Tell you anything just to make a sale. It not suitable for every business especially small repair shops where a good booking in system is required. Unhelpful complaints department especially the manager not interested still waiting for him to call me back with a technical support appointment which is a waste of time.

Getting a new till system installed is simple abd a good experience when setting up a new part of the business.

Pros

The till at the forefront for staff is easy to use

Cons

It is not easy to run reports and set up products especially when cost prices and sale prices can change. The stock take functionality is also not the easiest to use and monitor from a staff and management perspective

Poor Inventory Management System

Not so simple to implement, the Quickbooks connect apps does un-acceptable updates. So we have to reverse the process and disconnect.

Pros

Technical support staff is great. They are alway happy to helop and solve your problems with the implementation.

Cons

Inventory Mangement and costing system. It does not support different methods of costing in compliance with GAAP (FIFO , average.. ect. ) what it does is -it cost your inventory base on your latest cost input. Can't do average or compute for cost like we use to do in every purchase where we need to add unit price plus shipping and other incidental costs. It takes the PO unit price.

Quick to sell but fail to deliver

Pros

I do not like much about them. Their customer service team answer their phones quickly or call you back quickly

Cons

Their sales people lie about functionality to get a sale. The system does not manage stock. We've had to have 4 payment terminals replaced that stop working during busy periods. This is after the damage has already been done to our business.

Terrible, once the sale was complete you were on your own. Figure it out or dont who cares? Not epos now anyway. Left with no system most days and a card machine directly linked to a pos that wasn’t working leaving us with a pen and paper and a cash drawer.

Pros

Honestly if the system worked it would actually be quite good

Cons

No communication between devices, constant cache clearing and cloud syncing. Main pos crashing multiple times through out the day. No back up. No explanation. General support non existent with people that genuinely don’t know what to say or do to help. Usually causes more issues after speaking to support

Pros

Nice looking dashboard although buttons are too small and fiddly to press

Cons

Software is extremely glitchy and often just locks up needing a reboot. Vendor claims it is not their software but my iPad browser. (strange how every other app or browser works perfectly without issue) I bought this because their website inferred that it would interface with Quickbooks which it did not. They talked me into changing my accounts package from quickbooks to Xero at extra per month, but that failed also. When I complained and asked for a refund, they just gave me the run-around passing me from department to department. I am well out of pocket.

NONE EXISTENT Customer Service!!

Contacted EPOS now invoice department for an overpayment of £48.00 that we have made when we have already informed them that we were closing and which they have acknowledged. Despite several attempts thru their web tickets, they have just ignored us and have not made any attempt to get in touch with us. Called their sales department,surprise,surprise somebody answered !! I asked them to put me thru the invoice department and somebody answered with a fake American accent. Called again they can probably see my same phone number and refused to answer my call again. They’re good at taking your money but not interested to credit you back!! Will only answer if it’s sales and if your potentially a new customer. Don’t entertain EPOS now if you want a human customer services support .

Pros

Software overall was functional to our retail shop.

Cons

Customer service was non existent. Apart from Sales, you can only get in touch with them through a web ticket which another reviewer have noted that they don’t reply to. They are only interested to talk to a new customer and a potential sale! In short they can’t be bothered and don’t care about the concerns of their existing customer. We have now potentially lost £48.00 of overpayment but I’m glad that we don’t have to deal with such an awful customer service! The fake American accent of the male sales person was terribly bad.

QB Pos has really helped give us control over our retail operations. Couldn't live without now.

Pros

This software is full-featured and really does a great job of keeping track of everything going on in your store. From inventory to sales, the information is there and easy to access.

Cons

It can be a little tough to get information out in the form I want. Overall the reporting is great but I sometimes like to look at details that are cumbersome to get to.

We have been using this product for a couple years now, its simple and pretty easy to use for new employees. Its has some great reporting functions, but there is some limitations that you wouldn't think would be there for a "multistore".

I used to do my inventory every Sunday evening. It would take me 5 to 7 hours a week. Now its done in minutes with QBPOS. We use Individual Point of Sale out of PA to purchase, and maintain our POS systems.

Pros

This software has given me abilities that other camping resorts envy. Every time I tell other campground owners how QB POS can trend, suggest orders, track inventory, and that it has endless reports that integrates right into Quick books, they are floored.

Cons

We really dont have any dislikes with the software. It performs well and runs reliably. We are on our second generation of hardware, and the software is stable and fast.

Didn't work for us

I love Quickbooks enterprise and will continue to use it. I will never use their point of sale again. I was trying to get away from ACCUPOS which after this debacle I have realized is amazing and my problems now seem minor I am going back to them and addressing my minor complaints.

Pros

When paired with one of their partners software can do major things, but not minor ones.

Cons

It had to re number our items which are currently stored in Enterprise. The POS shortcuts couldn't show a description only our item number, which is one of 7000 different numbers so that wasn't an option. Very clunky and antiquated, would be very easy to mess something up. Customer support has a 45 minute hold time.

Once the only game in town

Once, one of the only games in POS. town, Intuit now has robust competition. We are seriously looking into a cloud based alternative for our store. Having said that, I will say that my most recent call to customer service was one of the best I have ever had. Maybe they are feeling some heat from the competition.

Pros

Very versatile, perhaps to a fault at times. Quite easy to learn at least initially. Integration with QuickBooks.

Cons

UI needs a serious updating. Many fine features on the software are not immediately apparent or easily accessible. This is at least partly due to the somewhat outdated and clumsy interface. We have had the desktop based version of this POS since 2003 and have had a tenuous and oftentimes rocky relationship with customer service and support. Intuit is such an enormous company that one feels like an unimportant cog in the wheel when trying to fix a problem.

Pros

This software can handle TONS of inventory. We have used the software for over 12 years, and now have over 15000 unique items. Each one is able to track purchasing history, selling history, even details down to the name of the customer who bought this item in march of 2005, what he paid, and what else he bought on the same ticket! We use it a lot for warranty issues, as we're able to see if someone truly bought an item from us, or if they bought it online, and are just trying to get us to fix it for free. Super useful!

Cons

Once you start, you cant stop... Well, that's probably true of any POS system. You end up with too much data to lose, so I couldn't change now even if I wanted to, not that I do. The real problem with being stuck is that you have to pay up for it. Every year, they stop supporting the version from 3 years back. I.e., in 2018 they stop supporting the 2015 version, in '19 they will stop suporting '16,...

WORST SUPPORT IN THE HISTORY OF BUSINESS

If there was less there was less than one star for customer support I would give it that. I was down an entire week! And they didn't even care. You can't contact anybody that is of any help. I now have sales up and running but my item list and inventory list can't be tracked. This is the worst company on the face of the planet run away!!!

There are some nice inventory management features but other than that it is crap!
