SharpSpring is my #1 choice for marketing automation.

Pros

SharpSpring is my go-to platform of choice after using Infusionsoft from 2008 to 2015, when I found SharpSpring and bailed on Infusionsoft.

Cons

Not much to dislike. Do NOT take my ease of use, set up rating below literally. It's easy for ME and my crew. It's NEVER easy for you. Unless you have 10,000 hours screwing around learning this kind of solution. It is NOT easy to set up. None of these systems are. Don't buy the BS some of these companies pitch. The key to success with SharpSpring and others is you have to know what you're doing to set up SharpSpring and make it perform well. (Pr pay a pro!) It's just like any CRM or marketing automation solution you invest in; you must choose wisely and plan to invest over the long run to make it work.

Never buy this kind of software in a seminar and be wary of the direct sales pitch you get from any software company. NO software will double your sales. This software will highlight all your flaws in sales and marketing process, team, until you let a professional help you break through any bottlenecks we analyze. Then we crush them. Or you do.

Pros

You don't have to change your email client...which is so nice. You can continue using Google apps and utilize the software. You actually get to talk to someone who knows how the software was intended to be used.

Cons

Haven't run into any yet.

Solid product with high value for low cost

We use a variety of platforms, such as Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, InfusionSoft, Act-On, etc. across our client ecosystem.

Pros

SharpSpring provides tremendous value for the cost. It has a breadth of functionality that provides the "all-in-one" integrated platform that our clients need but at a lower price point than other similar providers. I like the visual representation of the life of the lead and the the very light but easy to use CRM.

Cons

I don't think this platform is as easy to use for end users as more expensive options. Some of the navigation and set-up can be tricky. It can also be glitch-y, but it's still relatively young and the company is responsive about listening to feedback and fixing issues.

I believe this is a solid choice for SMBs that are priced out of other options. I would recommend making sure you understand your requirements to make sure you choose the best solution and then working with a partner agency to get the best price and to minimize frustration with implementation and set-up (which you would experience with any marketing automation implementation).

I recommend this to everyone!

Overall I give this tool 5 stars, A's all across, two thumbs up, a wink and a smile. As I mentioned, I have been using the tool now for 4 years and have quite a bit of experience using their competitors and so-called "market leaders". I love Sharp Spring it does everything, at a value you can hardly compare.

Pros

Sharp Spring provides me and my clients with several advantages over its competition (like Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, Infusionsoft). First of all, you can not beat their licensing value.

Cons

At first, I had a hard time understanding how they do automation. I was used to using a drag and drop "visualization" interface to build drip campaigns. I also had a bit of a hard time getting used to their nomenclature. The way that automation processes are set up in Sharp Spring are through two things... Tasks (which I was used to calling triggers) and Workflow (which I was used to calling task automation). You can see how it was confusing for me. Well I learned it, it was not that hard, and I actually see now how it is a way superior way to program automation then using visual aids that would be cumbersome to try to set up and manage in large scale automation projects.

Prior to parting ways with Infusionsoft with which we had great success, I needed to find a better system for my needs and the clients I was serving.

Pros

The software does what it is intended to do. It is not all things to all people like some of their competitors pretend to be. SharpSpring is killer marketing automation, light CRM and big-time sales enablement. It is not for wimps. Like with any sales enablement and marketing automation solution, choose wisely, include your key players in the selection process and be prepared to hire a pro and pay them to make this software perform. Unless you like making your own paperclips, don't try to put yourself in the marketing automation business. It's nuts to think you can do this on top of your own business unless you have a serious, full time pilot to help administrate this bad boy for maximum ROI. You do want ROI, don't you?

Cons

Not much to dislike when you make an informed decision. There are no tricks, gimmicks or lame sales practices.

I received the ability to help my clients on a whole new level. I am now able to offer tools and functionality that only large firms could previously afford. With email marketing, landing page building, automation, CRM, and sales management capability, I can provide more and better service to my customers than ever before.

Pros

SharpSpring offers fair agency-focused pricing at a fraction of what Infusionsoft, HubSpot, and Ontraport charge.

Cons

SharpSpring has only been in operation since 2014, so some features are still in development. However they are eager to consider suggestions from agency partners and constantly working to improve the product. With such great customer service and an already impressive set of tools, a little patience for upcoming developments is a small price to pay.
