Move along, nothing to see here

I wish we had tested Insightly much more strenuously before proceeding with purchase of this software. I guess we just didn't know what we didn't know, and so when the linking issue (or non-linking issue) because glaringly apparent, we had already finished the trial period. We just (wrongly) assumed that a feature so integral to an effective customer relationship package would work!

Pros

It has been convenient for our company's internal tracking of sales rep opportunity closes/losses.

Cons

The complete absence of functional linking between emails, organizations, and individuals renders this "Contact Relationship" software a total bust. Technical support has know about the issue for well over a year, but it's not really a "priority" to them. They make lots of ineffectual suggestions, tossing the issue back in the lap of the end-user, but none of the "fixes" actually work. You must link all emails, manually, to each contact, organization, and opportunity, if you want to be assured of a linking relationship.

A great CRM for Google Apps users!

I first signed up my company for insightly to use on internet sales for furniture products. We ended up expanding that use as sales reps enjoyed how simple it was to use and share info on leads.

Pros

Sharing leads and estimating the value they present to bring in closers or specialist if necessary.

Cons

Scheduled follow ups is a feature they could use tremendously. Automatic emails and scheduled timeframes would be nice but not a deal breaker.

Insightly is used in my organization to better manage customer data ,follow up on tasks and track our sales leads,leading to us closing more deals.

Pros

I like the ability to search for past correspondence with a customer,the automated email schedule feature is another top feature present on Insightly,which enable us stay in touch with our customers and sales leads. Insightly has an effective customer support team,always prompt with responses to support emails from me.

Cons

Lacks a spellcheck functionality to check email messages I create on the CRM.Also lacks a form of recycle bin,through which contacts deleted by error can be recovered.

Powerful and Easy To Use CRM!

Pros

This has made it so much easier to follow up with leads and close more business.

Cons

I'm a big UX guy. It's not the most cheery interface. It's a tall order when you have so much data to manage. It's a small nag for so much power!

Better organization & information at my fingertips

Pros

This is my CRM, plus I can track leads, property inventory, offers & contract to close using completely customizable pipelines.

Cons

Once you set it up, it's very user friendly but it does take a small time commitment to customize it. It's worth the set up time because once it's in place, it's a time saver.

Overall this is a solid CRM system that offers a great Project Management piece with it and at a great price. I am a Salesforce Consultant with some experience with Dynamics 365 and I personally am considering Insightly for my home business should it continue to grow to a point that I need a CRM.

Pros

Add in the robustness and flexibility of being able to create custom objects, fields and creating workflow automation, this should elevate it close to the other CRMs.

Cons

Because this app is slightly less well known, it may not offer as many third party application add ons or integrations.

Workflow automation, separates leads from contacts, impressive dashboard

Pros

Insightly gets close and I’m growing fond of it as it combines multiple tools into one dashboard, accessible via one page.

Cons

It’s a personal preference, but I prefer to see all info held on a lead on a single screen rather than accessing each piece of info via tabs.

Allows sales team to get additional key insights -Tasks manager and assignment

Cons

Only one feature that I can currently think of that I'd love to see and that's the ability to add custom fields to contacts within a lead.

Great product with great support! Close.IO deeply understands the pains of a sales team and helps you achieve more by making your whole team and management more productive.

Pros

- Great product-market fit, it does solve a problem and increase productivity - You can have access to all emails exchanged with a lead without even being in copy - never again you're going to lose the historic data/communication with your leads - Fast and very customizable reports allows management to quickly get to the numbers and insights that matters the most - Smart views is very helpful - what a smart feature

It's like magic

We have a startup focused in ticket sales for events in Mexico. We were looking for in-depth data of our salesmen and to make easier for them to keep track of their clients by client type. We used a CRM (highrise), but the data it gave us was no longer enough to know more about whether the size and type of clients - and opportunities - our sales team were generating was the right kind given our current strategy. We initially requested a trial by importing a subset of random data of our former CRM but we felt this was not useful, because not all of those imported leads were relevant to us at the moment. When support from close.io gave us the option to extend our trial period, we deleted all of the previous leads and instead started adding new leads into the platform. That's when we notice the main strong point of close.io: by adding our first lead's email, within seconds we had a full history of each email we exchanged in the past. The desktop app works like a charm. Also, when you have a small sales team like ours, it's great to add a lead and check if one of your teammates already make a contact. Finally, it's amazing how easy is to categorize leads, we even use it to keep track of investors, allies and competitors. The call feature is also a huge breath of fresh air into a follow-up process. The fact you can make calls straight from the app, that those calls get recorded and also get tracked into a lead's history ensures automatic track of almost every kind of interaction with a lead. In our case, although we tried it and it worked great, we won't make use of it because our small office space forces us to do calls by getting outside the office, and given our internet connection is not that solid we will keep making calls the way we are right now and evaluate a full switch later. In a few words: if you have a small sales team and you want to make them doing more closing and less data insertion into follow-up tools, consider switching to close.io

Pros

The fact you can create a lead and it automatically brings all of the history of emails you exchanged with them gives a lot more insight and visibility into salesman follow-up performance.

Cons

For our business, it´s very important to do bulk imports. However, the tool does not let you to opt out of duplicating leads, which makes us take longer to "curate" each file we want to import.
