We've been using MemberClicks ever since the failed migration of Affiniscape to YourMembership. The customer support issues we faced during that migration encouraged us to seek another AMS provider.

Pros

Logical and simple WYSIWYG editor Great customer support Important widgets - adds functionality and a "slick" appearance Easy database upload and edit features Nice sorting tools for the database Simple invoicing system Committee Management Features Blog and social stream features Great API interface with other programs - you're not locked into one system, but rather can expand your functionality across many programs

Cons

No endemic LMS No non-exported/imported batch updates for some fields Hard for a "parent" profile to add a "child" profile

We have only been using Weblink for 8 months and still have some things to implement like single sign on for our members to their Weblink portal and our own member portal but the fact that such integration is possible is a definite plus. Great CRM with a large degree of flexibility.

Pros

The billing process and ability to auto-generate invoices and/or import data for invoicing is wonderful and saves so much time.

Cons

No direct interface to Sage.

- I love the integration with Quickbooks - The online and desktop software are great - WebLink Support is a great resource for quick questions - Chat support is there if you need to ask something not answered in the :Knowledge Base" - Customer Support when you have to call for a more in depth question and answer are a delight!

Cons

I have since saved memorized reports on my dashboard which, has been great, but if there is a one-off that I need to run, it can take a while to configure them to report the data needed.

Support team is responsive, but I would still prefer to make a phone call over using the chat feature. I attended one of their conferences and came away with lots of good info.

I like how everything ties together and that there are constant improvements.

I also like that I can run ad hoc reports on any field within our database. Most features are intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

I wish there was the option to export an entire calendar to an external calendar system.

We were seeking a platform that could integrate a lot of our functions that were not in one place--ie, we were using one software to track members, another to track events, and yet another to invoice and receive payments from our members.

Pros

I've never dealt with a software company that so eagerly seeks (and implements!) the feedback and suggestions of its users!

Cons

Things will stop working for seemingly no reason, but will be resolved in the next update. Reporting can feel a bit clunky at times, especially to those not comfortable with SQL.

The MemberClicks database is very easy to use and customizable.

Pros

The MemberClicks platform is user friendly to make updates to the website or the database. We use the email marketing/contact center all the time.

Cons

MemberClicks only has a few website templates that can limit how your site looks, but we were able to find one that works for our needs and looks great.

WebLink is a pretty user friendly product and a great AMS for it's price point.

We have been using the software since April of 2018 and so far me and my staff love it. We have been searching for the right AMS for about 5 years and we finally found one that works for our association.

Pros

It's very easy to navigate, I love the mass communication feature and I really like the A/R functionality...a company that finally got the A/R functionality right.

Cons

I also find it a little challenging to create queries to export data.

We're able to integrate a lot of our products into Weblink like QuickBooks and Constant Contact.

Pros

They're constantly making updates to the system and adding features that make database management easier.

Cons

The transactions come over as one batch, it would be great if there was a way to assign the member's name to the transactions so that we can more easily track the transactions and reconcile the bank accounts in QuickBooks.

Pros

It does a really great job organizing registrations, invoice information, as well as offering a tremendous amount of features such as customizable registration fields, promo codes and some of the new attendee and registrations advanced search options are very handy.

Cons

When using the desktop client, I sometimes find some of the processes a bit slow and heavy on the 'pop up' window type notifications that require you to save or accept something.

They always follow up with an email of instructions of what we did to the database, so I can refer back to it.

Weblink's platform has a lot of functionality but can be cumbersome and slow to use.

This software has allowed us to automate some aspects of our administration and target our communications by adding detailed profile information into the database. We are also able to generate a number of customized reports.

Pros

I like that I can track endless amounts of information about our members and prospects to help our organization understand the needs of each company/organization we want to support.

Cons

The slow part is getting the data into weblink in the first place.

Pros

MemberClicks has the best customer service and help department of any software I have ever worked with.

Cons

Currently there are a lot of limitation on invoices, event ticket reporting, and historical data reporting BUT MemberClicks is launching an entirely new database in 2015 that should resolve many of these issues.

MemberClicks understands the needs of a chamber of commerce to keep our members engaged and provide feedback in a streamlined approach.

It is great that members can log into their profile and see all their activities: payments, registrations, donations, messages etc.

Cons

There is no conference software such as badging, CE certificates, evaluations, session monitoring etc. Customization of invoice lines such as a conference with one day pricing does not break out which sessions they are attending.

Suggestions AND training for social media, email blasts and communication outreach.

Cons

We have noticed a slowdown in saving and updating. It's not a significant slowdown. I'm able to work. Confident they will find a solution. It will not keep us from using or recommending to others (unless it's still slow months from now:-)
