CRM...
Interface is fairly clean. Price is reasonable. Kind staff. Good Midwestern folk are a nice break from Silicon Valley types. Attempt to be progressive is appreciated.
Missing obvious reports like a weighted pipeline. Customization with reports is limited. Integration with Google and Mailchimp in particular feels lighter than what would be ideal. Built-in mail campaigns lack quality formatting options and attachments. Support is very slow to respond. I've watched the service get worse over time.
Hi Stephen, We appreciate you taking the time to provide us feedback. We are working on the items you mention below. I am responsible for integrations and will tackle getting more Mailchimp functionality embedded into Nutshell. Attachments are on the way and we will continue to work on making Nutshell more robust. Thank you for being part of the Nutshell community.

I had high hopes for this CRM, but in the end it falls short. I am looking for a simple, straightforward CRM for my real estate business. They are on to some really good things, but they aren't there yet.
The interface is clean, simple and attractive. It seems intuitive to learn. The CRM integrates with Google and Twitter, and has mobile apps. One of the most unique features is the ability to log (and record) calls. No additional software is required, I registered my cell number, and simply by clicking a phone number in the program, it uses my cell to place and track the call. There is a main feed that tracks all activities made by the team (which I don't need), and a clear, easy to read dashboard.
The CRM did not like my IMAP email--it took over a week to get it to work. The system also does not pull in emails other than Gmail (which I don't use for business). Email tracking is done via a bcc address. The system also boasts that it has a top-secret method for constantly searching the net to fill in missing information on contacts, yet it can't even find straightforward Facebook profiles. For the price ($20/month) this CRM just doesn't do enough to justify the cost.

fantastic CRM tool
-customisable -ease of use -good flexible way of adapting it -frames the sales process but along your individual requirements -great support staff -software development is prompt to deliver -as a customer I feel listened to
-the iPhone version needs an internet connection; could be an issue for people on the road: could be done on a sync basis to ensure contacts and adresses are always available
Pierre, Thank you for your feedback! We work hard to ensure that all of our customers are provided the support they need, I'm you're able to take advantage of that! We're happy to be working with you. Cheers, Asya

Light CRM without a big cost.
Tracks all emails in and out of system. Looks for information on social media.
No print feature. Would like to print lists of companies and people to give to route visitors... Paper is better for some tasks. Bulk deletion is weird.

Nutshell is our agency's CRM system.
I love its intuitive design and user interface. The bcc functionality to Nutshell records is one of my favorite features.
Sometimes it flags duplicates that seem completely unrelated. Other than that, it works really well for what I need it to do.

It's easier than our previous CRM.
Your search engine sucks: when I'm searching a lead by typing its name, I can't find it. It's very annoying. I'm looking for different, more friendly stuff. Also, you are in different time zone, when I need help, when servers are down I have to wait hours for an answer, because you are probably sleeping when I'm working.
Hi Krzysztof, Thanks for your feedback. We are working on ways to expand our CX to be more accessible in different time zones. Search is also at the top of our list to enhance. We appreciate you being a part of the Nutshell community. Amanda

I loved the syncing between mobile devices and desktop, makes it a great CRM for on-the-go
Since it's a lesser known CRM?, some of the features are not as intuitive

It's CRM that actually is liked and used!
Easy and flexible setup; consistently clear design. Can use basic functions without tripping over the advanced ones, and can gradually add feature/function for a smooth transition from beginner to power user. I also like the way you have color-keyed the function buttons to the main color on functional screens. A nice visual orientation cue!
I worked full-time in the design profession for 17 years, so this is a 'studied' critique: There is a lot of market pressure for tech products to follow design trends. Unfortunately, design trends often are based on designers designing for other designers -- which tends to leave certain kinds of user needs out in the cold. One of the most common of these 'orphaned' needs is the need for contrast...
Hi Mark! Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback. We appreciate the positive review and will pass along the feedback to our design team. Thanks for being part of the Nutshell community. Amanda

It covers anything you need from a CRM software / platform.
The official API is very very limited. They published their JSON-RPC APIs but the documentation and the functionality are not good. It's barely usable.

It's very easy to use. There's no fluff in your way to get through recording good notes on sale leads. There's not much training required.
Reporting is very weak. You will not know important KPI or deal flow info from this CRM.

I found it cumbersome to keep up with the steps. I don't find it productive to spend so much time documenting what I have done to advance a sale.
The search capability is the best of any CRM I have used.
Too many steps to keep up with to get through a sale.

The overall straightforward operation and how easy it is to keep track of customers, Emails, follow ups.
Searching fields eg. phone numbers, addresses - you have to search all fields. Copying other CRM data into Nutshell.
Lucy, We work very hard to make sure Nutshell is as user-friendly as possible, I'm glad you've found it to be so! If you are having trouble with importing, please feel free to reach out to our support team via phone or our in-app chat and we'll be happy to help! Best, Asya

A great experience. their Ann Arbor team is so nice and helpful, it really should be the model of support for CRM companies. I dread the day that this company sells its product to a bigger CRM company, because inevitably that's when the support starts going downhill, but for now its the best, little CRM ever made, in my opinion.
Okay, first off, there's never been a sales CRM / pipeline management tool that feels as good as this one. Our groups and meetings sales teams still feel a thrill when they drag and drop closed leads over the 'Win Lead' button and back when I demo'd it myself, I also loved it. The pipeline is visually represented so easily that ANY salesperson can handle it. Let me repeat that last part,... so easy that ANY salesperson can handle it... so if you've got a high-energy, super I-type personality team that hates tech but loves people,... THIS IS YOUR NEW CRM.
Occasionally dupe entries on calendars when we first rolled out, but then we switched our integration to Office 365 and its been smooth sailing.

What is there not to like! Ease of use. Easily integrates with a slew of other software and GMAIL to pull in your records. Follow-up with cards like Trello to follow through on deals. Support - again best in class. Mobile APP ... OMG!
Really - I have no cons. They actually listen to the community for ideas

Amazing support! They were there whenever I needed them. Nothing better than instant chat support. Easy product to use, configure, and support from an Internal IT perspective. When we were forced away from using them, it was very easy to get all our data out.
Nothing at all comes to mind. They were great to work with and the product fully solved our CRM issues.

A CRM that gets the job done without being complicated. Customer service is also excellent!
I had never used a CRM before, but yet I was able to set it up with ease. It is very intuitive. We have a lot of people on our team who have never used a CRM before and they catch on easily. I also love the integrations with google and our ticketing system.
Not all reporting features are available with the basic subscription - but enough are available that we don't need to upgrade.

Our sales staff was apprehensive at first as there were lots of bells & whistles and a little worn out with the previous jumps from one CRM to the other. But within two weeks everyone fell in love with Nutshell and completely on board significantly contributing to an increased close ratio.
This CRM walks the less experienced sales rep through the entire sales process even recommending when to follow up even suggesting additional steps should be taken to get to the close. Upon close it automatically updates the customer database and the task management features facilitate the onboarding process. It also has a neat "Click-to-Call" feature that calls and optionally records directly from your prospect list providing an excellent sales training vehicle.
We would like to have seen the developers respond more quickly to feature suggestions but as a Sales CRM it is untouchable.

Five years ago it was the perfect fit for what we needed in a crm software.
Quick and simple view of daily events from users. Customize fields, and internal setup is quick and simple.
No way to retrieve content off line. In the event that you can't get online by any means you should be able to access a customers contact information.

We get a cost effective CRM that frees up cash flow for use elsewhere in our business.
Nutshell offers a unique ability to tag people in activities and run reports on calling activities for my sales reps.
Every lead typically has a company or contact. But if you don't save the activity in the lead, and instead under the company or individual contact, you can't see it when your client calls in regarding the sale they want service for, so your customer service is hindered and your sales people look like they don't know the history of the account. It's embarrassing to use this software because Nutshell...

Used Nutshell for 2 years .. .... ..... ... .managing daily sales processes and contacts.
Keep track of daily follow ups - and record entire history with contacts. Basic CRM stuff it does well.
1. Where did the Gmail Gadget go? This was the best feature and now it's gone. :( 2. The relationship between the Lead and the Customer can be confusing... 3. Reporting for specific items can be challenging as well.
Mitch, Thanks for the review! We've been working directly with Google to get the Gmail Gadget back online. Unfortunately, this was an issue on their end and completely out of our hands ¿ it affected a good number of other products, as well. As of today, the gadget is back online. You can read a few more details at: http://status.nutshell.com/incidents/3l9j5sdbjplx Thanks so much for using Nutshell. We've got some exciting improvements to reporting under development. Can't wait to show them off! Best, Andy Fowler

This tool is crazy efficient and if thats what you need from your CRM then go for it.
Let me start out by saying this CRM is very easy to use and is a breeze to learn initially. My whole sales team picked up this tool so simply which saved our business a TON of money.
Because this tool is so simple it lacks some functionality and features. All in all, we had to ditch it because of this reason right here. I would absolutely recommend it though.

As a smaller company with a product focused on solving specific problems for our customer-base, we love to support other like-minded and similarly structured companies. Nutshell's focus on being the best collaborative CRM is perfect for our company and what we need to use it for. We don't need an all-in-one solution for our CRM, sales, and marketing needs. We just need a CRM that gets it and does it right, and that's Nutshell.
The ease of use, functionality, and value of the product are top-notch. Nutshell does a great job of housing the information we need and making it easy to make notes, compare customer and lead reports, communicate with prospects, and update information on the go so we can turn those leads into paying customers.
Sometimes I have to play around a little more getting the lead reports that I want, but now I have all my frequently used reports bookmarked.

Nutshell is a good CRM if you are a small company getting started. It doesn't have as much functionality as Salesforce.
Not the most robust CRM but it fits well for smaller companies who don't need all the features and bells and whistles of other CRMs.
