The only pro I can think of is the integrated merchant processing. Even then it's not really a pro because if you want to use another processor it's not gonna happen.

I have worked with this software via Elements Therapeutic back in the early days and currently with my PT studio space @ Pro Sports Performance.
I just called them to ask about the price, for solo practitioners, that I was quoted a couple of years ago. I was told they only start at some price are no longer catering to the small shop business. Only to big box businesses. Sad but an unfortunate reality.

Used MINDBODY while briefly working with a niche fitness studio and it was overall just a nightmare. The app itself looks nice which is a pro I suppose, I was only a user and was not on a team that set up and implemented this product.
The main issue is their customer service is greatly lacking. I found my superiors in constant battle and struggle with trying to get answers. Someone really should learn from this company and make a better, more pleasant experience because it is definitely needed.

It changed my business
The Pro is the Company and its VALUES. Mindbody's passion about health and wellness education. Changing the world one person at a time thru health. Their desire to provide a platform for the small guy to manage their business and have the time to take care of the most important asset--people.

I liked that I could schedule clients, input their information, and process payments. There is a 3 day set up team that will call you for scheduled appointments and make sure you are getting to use the software and help you set it up. That can be viewed as a pro or con seeing how difficult the software is to set up originally.
The software was updated but the overall look of it seemed outdated. It was a little hard to navigate. You have to spend hours learning the software to remember where each button is and how to get there. Luckily there is a team of experts always ready for your call or email, but they're also always busy. I think Mindbody could have been a little less expensive for what is offered

It is user friendly on the front end as a client, but continually has issues on the back end as a business user. If it was not so widely used/recognized/trusted by clients, I would probably not use it.
Its the universal software for most fitness businesses, so you just have to learn one platform and it's relatively easy to navigate. Since most fitness studios use it, it creates a wide range of different workout types to choose from. As a fit pro user of the business app, I like the new feature that allows you to easily switch between multiple studios--it was an intuitive move as most pros don't work with just a single studio.
It's extremely buggy and prone to issues each time they release a new version--whether that be on a computer or via the phone apps.

It's great for small businesses but you may feel limited if you grow to 3-4 location and start hiring professionals, I know our marketing team often hears things are impossible from Mindbody.
Mindbody has been great to help our gym set up our first schedules and sell memberships. I know it also has some basic marketing tools built in.
The software grew fast and has many integration which do not speak to each other. Its pricing model is also complex with each add-on ramping up prices. When we started to take ownership of our marketing, we were quickly blocked by the platform and had to find third party apps instead. That's unfortunate since having it all (and of pro level) under a same roof would be amazing.

It has been a very difficult and horrible experience integrating this software into my club and spa, and i spent so much time debugging their code and identifying workarounds (not to mention so much money on pro services support, who were great, but could not do anything to help due to software limitations). If you are a large scale operation, please go with another club and spa software - you will get what you pay for with MindBody.
Online web access, flexibility with options to setup as needed.
The entire code base/feature set overall is very buggy, poorly thought out, and requires constant workarounds. There is not a single feature that works right or even logically, where the most basic 1982 club management software would have done a great job. To top it all, there is no visibility into any of the feature add requests, so you have no idea when any of the items are being worked on or parked...

I get to register and prepay online for classes so I can 1) guarantee a spot in the class ahead of time and 2) be able to just walk right in and not have any registration hassle.
A number of fitness studios where I have taken classes (Yoga District, YogaWorks, Down Dog, to name a few), as well as the New York Health & Racquet Club which used to be my gym, use Mindbody. It actually took me a while to realize when I was purchasing or registering for a class online that I was being redirected to the studio's Mindbody site/account, not just purchasing right through the company....
I don't love having to remember an extra password. I usually make my password the same for everything, so it's no awful, but it would be great to have one Mindbody account where somehow I can sign on, stay signed on, and just click from the "register for class" button on the site into Mindbody (in other words, it would be great to have one Mindbody account across all of the studios I use).

Recently removing features that were available in the essentials version before creating a "Pro" version to extort existing customers to pay double the cost.
