Pros and cons

ML Schedules software is shockingly easy and very affordable. We love the SSO integration with Google and the outstanding support we receive from the team at Master Library.
Entering a request is very straightforward and notification of those who need to know about the event and event support like maintenance is built in. Customer service is amazing.
Overall it is a very good product. Easy and fast accessibility and very user friendly.
Right now when you submit an event the system ask for a start time and then ask for set up in minutes and the requestor gets confused.
We still use QuickBooks to send out our invoices and sometimes new groups are confused being able to view their draft invoice in ML Schedules before all charges have been added.
N/A There are many features that I find difficult to use.

No More Paper Calendars

Reviewed 6 months ago
Pros

It's very easy to add information to our school event calendar with or without a facility reservation. The overall features are great for initial set up, however start to decline when changes need to be made.

Cons

Making changes to events is less than simple. While it is doable, it isn't straight forward on how to make them. Often the features needed can be found but seem to take a lot more clicking around than necessary.

Non-reflected events

Reviewed 2 years ago

Our office is located within a community center for the whole school district. Many staff members will book the small conference room for trainings and staff events at the center. At times, other events are not reflected on the district calendar for the center. We will usually fall back to using our private offices that are much smaller than the conference room. The conference room became vital during the Co-Vid pandemic and health guidelines.

Pros

Easy to enroll in online program, easy to use, bright & colorful calendar events.

Cons

The amount of time that it took for several events to appear on the calendar. We schedule weekly meetings with parents/children and sometimes we wouldn't know if the booking was verified until the day of the meeting (when no one else showed up).

ML Schedules - An Effective Scheduling Tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

ML Schedules has been an effective tool to schedule meeting space in our educational environment during the academic day as well as during other times when class are not being held.

Pros

I find ML Schedules as an effective tool in scheduling meeting spaces and connecting those spaces with other departments within our academic environment that could enhance our gathering experience. I like how I can see what rooms are available around the building on the main calendar and how they are color coded per event. It is easy to log in, review room availability and sign up for a space within minutes…

Cons

I have not found anything difficult or inefficient about using this software…

ML Schedules Review

Overall it is a very good product. Easy and fast accessibility and very user friendly.

Pros

The product is pretty easy to manage as well as user friendly. I'm able to pull up the calendar of events pretty fast and easy, to determine space availability and schedule needed events

Cons

I work for a public school. When I access the system, it would be nice to have an option that allows for only my school calendar to pull up automatically when reviewing availability. If there is that option, I may have missed that in my training.

Master Library creates visibility on fields, rooms, times and schedules.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Master Library has been a very good investment for our needs.

Pros

Compared to our district's previous paper-based system, this creates a much needed 21st century solution for our busy and growing needs. The system allows the district to monitor all user groups, maintain anonymity, and create timely notifications of cancellations. Also, all of the approvals from the required personnel is a key feature, so no one can say they didn't know and no location can get double booked.

Cons

Because the system can do so much, and we use so many fields and rooms, it can still be a lot to navigate. The field filters could be a little better, and perhaps some more training/videos would be helpful.

ML Schedules review

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's been a learning experience. But, when changes are made from one program to a new program, it is to be expected. Also, learning all the options (ins and outs) that are available within the overall program.

Pros

The scheduling system meets the needs of our athletic programs. Still trying to learn all the different options that are available. The notifications that go out to other groups/schools when there are changes made in the schedule.

Cons

The bugs that need to be worked out. Receiving changes in schedules for schools / teams that are not associated with our school. Notifications that are not related to any of my schedules.

It is very convenient to keep all parts of my job in organization. I can have access to other businesses that are linked and share information as well.

Pros

This product is very easy to use and self teaching. The icons it give to show you updates with tips and tricks are very explanatory. I was able to figure out the system on my own using it for the first time in my job and love using it ever since.

Cons

As of now I have not found something that I do not like about the system. I do have some features that I yet have not used but I have no complaints as of right now.

Very Easy to Use Once You Get The Hang Of It

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, it is a good product. It is much better than the in-house version the school district used previously. Approvals come quickly.

Pros

Once the modest learning curve is overcome, it is easy to reserve spaces and see what you have reserved. It makes planning much easier and more efficient.

Cons

There is a modest learning curve the first few times you use it.

Easy to use & decent customization.

Reviewed 2 years ago

There have been some major changes since we started using the software, most of which have been noticeable improvements. (We were one of the early users.) They are normally pretty good at easy customization, but some things don't get implemented.

Pros

From the user side inputting & approving events are easy. On the admin side setting up fields & approval paths are easy.

Cons

Sometimes updates get pushed out that change things that I know about until a user contacts me. (As an admin I have full access so I don't notice if a lower user's abilities change.)

ML Schedules - Makes Event Management Easy

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

ML Schedules software is shockingly easy and very affordable. We love the SSO integration with Google and the outstanding support we receive from the team at Master Library.

Cons

There are always unique use cases that fall outside of an application's scope. There isn't one particular thing that comes to mind, but you just find little things here and there that are different than what you envision. The support team has done an amazing job trying to find solutions and workarounds. When one isn't available, they move the suggestion to the development team. We often find the suggestion is incorporated in a future release.

Easy to make a request and Awesome Customer Service

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

Entering a request is very straightforward and notification of those who need to know about the event and event support like maintenance is built in. Customer service is amazing. Our needs don't require all of the functions of the software, but they have worked to tailor it to what we need. Real replies to tickets happen within the hour 99% of the time.

Cons

I think integration was a bit tricky because we use the software to a great extent for communication with the whole community and the public calendar display is very important. It took a while to hammer that out.

Easy to use

Reviewed 2 years ago

This online scheduling system has saved our District so much time and paper. We used to print out paper requests, have our groups fill out the request, inter-office it to the appropriate campus for review, then wait for it's return to add the request to our Google calendar. Submitting requests in ML Schedules also eliminates the wonder if a space is available or not.

Pros

ML Schedules is so user friendly. All of our User Group information, and every detail about their request is so easy to view across multiple departments at our District.

Cons

It would be helpful if our users were unable to view a draft invoice before it was ready. We still use QuickBooks to send out our invoices and sometimes new groups are confused being able to view their draft invoice in ML Schedules before all charges have been added.

Time and management are important to me. The ML Schedules saves lots of time. The management portion specifically the query reporting is so helpful. Overall very satisfied with the software.

Pros

Cons
