If you are a mid to large company looking for a comprehensive ERP with cross-department collaboration and complex integrations, Netsuite can be a great choice. For a small to mid size company looking for a more "straight-forward" ERP with less complexity and cost, there may be better options. Overall, I think Netsuite is a very solid product and we have been more than happy with our experience with Netsuite as a whole.

With this software, you can import contact information from many different programs, including an Excel spreadsheet.

Pros

This allows us to keep cashflow coming in at critical times with significantly less manpower than has been needed before. Import and export from excel

I do enjoy Netsuite but you have to be ready for the cost.

Pros

They have a great API and integration capable system.

Cons

It is a very expensive system. That being said, you get what you pay for. The 24 hour support is based out of the Philippines last I heard and I have many people at my company cannot understand the support staff over the phone at all.

Felt it had some features that were good Liked integration with Wealth Engine.

NetSuite is being used across the whole ministry - administration, marketing, IT, networking, etc. When new events or ideas come up, we sometimes have problems making them work within NetSuite in the way we intend to use it. Some of that is a communication issue but some of it is an issue on how things may work within NetSuite or what terminology is used within NetSuite.

Revenue recognition templates help in tracking revenue of 3000+ customers at any given time Exporting to excel is easy Reports are easy to generate

Cons

Sometimes logs off when opening multiple tabs Timesheets viewing is hard

What I love about Netsuite is the complex functionality available right in the software - but much of this functionality is costly to develop, or required the purchase of 3rd party add on software and often development then as well.

Make sure you know what you are getting into in regard to the cost of the functionality you want. $$$$ month per user is one thing, but if want anything aside from extreme basic, plan on tens or hundreds of thousands more in costs to make it work. Some of the simple functions available in QuickBooks Online - like reclassifying transactions in bulk - are not even in netsuite. :(
