Great product, with lots of customization for an individual business. But very expensive. I really like everything about the product, ease of use from phone and laptop. I like the audit trail and the item fulfillment.

Pros
Partial billing, item fulfilment, audit trail, multi user, access anywhere.

Cons

We have been using Netsuite CRM and eCommerce for 2 years. We have been satisfied with the functionality, integration and usability. The integration between the CRM, and eCommerce is really powerfull. We used to use 5 different applications to do what we now do with NetSuite. It is expensive but if you can afford it, the benefits outweigh the costs

Pros
Real-time, role-based dashboards, ability to integrate seamlessly with the back office. Multiple currencies, multi-location inventory, and even multiple companies are supported

Cons
not the cheapest solution out there

Better for a large company

Review Source: Software Advice

This product is really not appropriate for a smaller company. It's very expensive and needs a huge amount of expensive development work to really function for each business need. It does basically everything and it is a good tool for growth. You just need to be able to put the money into it to achieve your unique business functions. There are much less expensive solutions that are easier and more "out of the box" that simply require you to be in multiple solutions. This product is like a HUGE shallow lake, vast and broad in what it can do, but not very deep unless you bring in the heavy equipment to dig it out to your own specifications. If our company was larger and had the money, I would love NetSuite. Actually, I still do- we just weren't and aren't ready for it.

Pros
Everything in one place, great list-based format, does amazing things- everything really. My favorite feature is the reporting and saved searches. Once you know how to do them, you can get literally any information about your company in a few clicks.

Cons
Development of the product is very, very expensive. It will do everything you need, for a price. A very high price.

Netsuite is a solid product. Overall it performs as well as any accounting system that I have worked in/with. It is a bit on the expensive side. However, we are a small company (about 70 employees) so the solution was probably overkill for what we needed so we are most likely paying for features and functionality that we do not need but that is not a negative to Netsuite. Perhaps just not the right fit for us but great for a larger company. The system is easy to use and integrates really well with other solutions (Concur, Avalara, OKTA, etc.) which makes life easy for accountants.

Netsuite enable role cycling as it has so many features at the fingertips of users which enables them to perform multiple tasks proficiently. It is also helpful as anyone with formal training can use the software without the need of an accountant in a set-up.

Cons
It is expensive so the value for money factor depends on its use in an organization and the cost which can be allocated to it. The shift between screens takes time sometimes.

NS has real-time dashboards that report and analyze the data in the system, helping company managers monitor, for example, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). KPIs do more than tell you how many outstanding invoices or bills exist and what your account balances are. Simply put, they provide ways to assess the company's performance in terms of its organizational goals. Dashboards also deal with the more mundane details of the day with reminders of meetings, calls, and deadlines, etc.

Pros
Good transparency across verticals and between the same level

Price per email beyond 5000 per month is too much

We had to have someone form nlNetsuite stay with us and show us how to use it for an extended period of time. They had to make a bunch of changes for it to work for us, so we're switching CRM soon

Pros
Easy to put orders in, with products and prices loaded, it's really easy to place even large orders

Cons

The system works well. The only issues we've experienced with functionality is slow to load time that can be traced to slow response of NetSuite servers. This means that on occasion it takes 10sec, 30sec, sometimes even 60sec to load a page. Overall, this is not a frequent occurrence but it does happen. Price-wise, the system is very expensive, and other systems will deliver the same functionality for less. Also, their organizational structure makes it very difficult to get answers to questions. We've had consultants assigned to our account leave NetSuite and we went three months before they were replaced, during implementation! Not acceptable. We also have had a very hard time getting issues and concerns addressed by a sales manager, and there is no visibility into escalation structure, meaning we could not get a hold of a supervisor. Overall, NetSuite is going through some growing pains and has a lot of customer service issues to address in order to remain viable.

I do enjoy Netsuite but you have to be ready for the cost.

Pros
Netsuite is a great product compared to a lot of ERP / CRM systems out there. Just the look and ease of use are very apparent. Most ERP systems look like an old access database program that looks a bit scary to the end user. Netsuite has also added several data centers to guarantee uptime. Netsuite is very customizable and your own company processes can be integrated into the system. They have a great API and integration capable system.

Cons
It is a very expensive system. That being said, you get what you pay for. The 24 hour support is based out of the Philippines last I heard and I have many people at my company cannot understand the support staff over the phone at all.

Ex-Consultant and Current Admin

Pros
Initial cost and on going costs are comparatively speaking very low. You can normally get away with having a first year cost of around $150-$300k depending on products and company size +/- additional pro services or 3rd party implementation teams. Additionally, the customization ability allows a good admin and dev team with proper business acumen to really create a system that reflects the current processes within the organization.

Cons
Ease of customization and relative complexity of permissions can lead to users having more power than they should and accidentally or purposefully creating or changing forms and database components. Additionally pro services can be less than knowledgeable and may lead users down canned or bad practices.

This software helps to find ROI for the ongoing projects which is useful to determine future policies with regards to investment. It also helps in finding target areas for marketing based on location. Netsuite has helped our organization in making some very important decisions which turned out to be very beneficial in the longer run.

Pros
Real-time reporting and dashboard KPI’s are helpful in decision-making. Easy to generate reports.

Cons
Difficult to implement in smaller organizations as it is expensive. The add-on modules are useful but add to the cost. Implementation takes about 2-3 months of time so that should be taken care of while switching.

Because we use the revenue recognition module, the standard project costing reports are not accurate. It adds the deferred revenue reclassification entries made to the balance sheet account, unbilled receivables, as a cost when looking at the costs on the standard project costing reports. Entries posting to a balance sheet account are NOT costs. Supposedly, this is to be fixed in the first version update of 2017. I sure hope so!

Netsuite fits perfect into mid-sized or even some small businesses that are mature in their processes so they can make the most of the initial setup and roll out. The cloud-based environment offers the ability to use the software from anywhere with just an internet connection. However, it is difficult to setup with the Netsuite consultants and initial training is expensive.

Why NS should be an ERP solution

This CRM solution lets you email individual customers or send mass emails from the customer relationship management application. This means you can also generate an invoice and immediately send it via email without needing to open your email program in a separate window. It also has dialing capabilities, which means with a compatible phone system and a click of a link, you can call a client from within NetSuite. With this software, you can import contact information from many different programs, including an Excel spreadsheet. You can easily upload all of your email contacts and other information stored in an old CRM program into NetSuite where it will be converted, formatted and saved automatically.

Pros
Billing automation has allowed us to invoice out 2.1 million to 1,000+ customers within a week or two. This allows us to keep cashflow coming in at critical times with significantly less manpower than has been needed before. Import and export from excel
