Pros

Flexebility and Customization are one of the big pros. The dashboard has improved a lot since one year ago.

Cons

The repports are weak, at least in the version that we use. It seams that in the pro version there is more features, and more complete repports. I was mad when I saw for the first time that a Pro version have been lauched with features that we were dreaming to have, and that it wasnt included in our version. When we signed Nutshell we got the top version beleving that it was a great cost benefit. Having some special features in a more expensive version after that wasn't good. And at that time nobody even offered us a trial of the Pros features.

Positive, but we under-utilise nutshells capabilities

Simple to implement. Cost effective.

Pros

Simple to use ie simpler to TRAIN reps, simpler for them to adopt. Flexibility - so one person can be attached to different products and leads and accounts. Can lift out lists for marketing easily. You are a small responsive independent company.

Cons

There is no easy way to manage accounts. Much of our revenue comes from recurring revenues from customers. We need to be able to develop customers. So selling more product to a customer (either new products same customer or increased use of product). Nutshell doesn't allow us to manage these "accounts" very well. To do this really well you'd need to use your open APIs to tie into our accounts package. Training and support sucks. We are on Australian time zone, and you guys are always shut when you need it. REALLY need good training programs. Nobody has heard of nutshell! Its a well kept secret strong product. You recently increased fees...are you trying to become another salesforce.rob.your.users or is it a 1-off?

Pros

The updated and modern look of all the icons and images was a great add on. We are also excited to take advantage of the updated reporting capabilities as well.

Cons

How leads have to be added into the system. Before an update was done, the company information (address, phone, etc) and the person information (address, phone, etc) was able to be added directly when creating the lead. Now the lead must be generated first and only the company name and person name can be added at time of creation. You have to then go back and add all other information for the company and person after. VERY tedious and frustrating this process was changed.

Pros

Adding contacts when in gmail (The widget) Strong gmail integration. Tagging options are good. Would like to see a real iPad app

Cons

No Gmail contact sync. Piesync can do it, why can's nutshell? No Wysiwig editor for emails in Nutshell. No attachments in Nutshell I can't make sense of how to include a CC to an email , without adding them to the contact lead email lists Need to have default intl area codes for phones in diff regions There should be global email templates. If I have a sales team, all needing to uses a common template, it means they all need to copy/create there won template, including understanding of teh mark-up syntax. Not good.

Straightforward, no-nonsense way for us to organize our data

It made filling out the review quite easy

Pros

Great support, uncluttered, has features we need. This is the first CRM I have every used, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I was pretty comfortable with starting to use it. It is fairly intuitive even for someone that is not accustomed to CRM software. They have good tutorials and training information.

Cons

Every time I get it all figured out, they make updates and I have to keep figuring it out again and sometimes it takes awhile before i understand how it all works. ON the computer, I don't have as many problems with adjusting to the changes, but it is harder when using on the phone.

I don't have many issues with Nutshell. Just the notes listed above about generating leads in the leads section and the constant duplicate question for contacts not even close. I do enjoy the drip campaign feature and if someone views my email or clicks an attached link

Pros

I enjoy being able to see if someone has seen my email and also who clicks on links attached. I also enjoy utilizing the drip campaign feature

Cons

Leads section is extremely cumbersome generating leads. Also almost every contact I input it is constantly asking if that contact is a duplicate even though it is nowhere close

I'm not a fan of this software at all. I don't even know where to start. I'd be happy to discuss.

Not much. I could keep my contacts in a spreadsheet and have more access to the data. I'd be able to search data more effectively. It's pretty bad all around.

Pros

Not much. There are no redeeming qualities of this software. We're required to use it for work and keep our contacts in but it's impossible to use or find anything. A search for Jane Smith returns Demita Evans. A search for Apex returns Zyno. You can't search by position, the names are listed randomly, you can't put them in alphabetical order. I could go on forever.

Cons

It's so hard to use. The search function is completely ineffective. You can't sort or filter anything. I'd be better off with an Excel spreadsheet of company names and contacts.

Ability to track and organize all aspects of our member company portfolio including activities, contact via email, in person and follow up. Makes my job much easier!

Pros

Cons

Only con is the inability to remove someone (a contact) from a specific company they are linked to without entirely deleting them.

You can either go to the person page and remove the company or go to the company page and remove the person from the company. Multi-user contact sharing with phone app and SSB desktop app. Helps us track current customers and work with them more effectively.

Pros

How flexible it is for when we decide to track new customer information. The tag system and how people are connected to companies is rather nice.

Cons

How difficult it is to search for a customer or person by their phone number. Right now I have to create a temporary filter and enter the entire phone number in it to see if there's an entry and then have to do it again for people if the number wasn't recognized as a company. The feature I want most is to be able to type in the last 4 digits of a phone number and see every person and company attached to that number. No proper iPad app. No offline desktop apps. There was a feature I was missing on the iPhone app but can't remember what it is.

Great, user-friendly CRM tool for small businesses

Overall Nutshell has really helped us with our initial sales/setup processes and is very user-friendly while still being customizable. The customer service support is top notch and it has helped us have a smaller learning curve implementing software into the company.

Pros

Nutshell is super user-friendly and easy to use. The interface is well designed and not cluttered with a bunch of different icons/links. It's cloud based and can be used anywhere on various devices (computers, tablets, phones, etc). It can sync with Gmail, Outlook, etc. Set up was done very quickly and mostly in one day. It also integrates with our email marketing software, MailChimp. There are a...

Cons

One thing that annoys me is having to set a time for a phone call as my days aren't that predictable. When I don't make the call by that time, it will go into unlogged activities which can feel stressful/hectic. A couple times I have dealt with freezing inside the program but this isn't frequent. Also, it's easy to get caught up in keeping yourself organized and spending too much time. But I have found that to be the case with other CRM softwares.

I've loved Nutshell so much that I now use it for 2 of my companies & recommend to our customers.

Internet marketing can be a long sales process. We went from closing in 120-150 days to around 21 days. Our revenues have almost doubled since implementing Nutshell 2 years ago.

Pros

Ease of use. Very straight forward. We don't need to send our salespeople to "Nutshell Camp" to learn how to use the product. Integrations are easy enough. The only thing I'd love to see is Gravity Forms (WordPress) integration. We could easily onboard more of our customers if that integration were available.

Cons

I would love to be able to share my email templates with the rest of the team. That way I could have my own, but also push new successful templates out to everyone else.

Great Sales Tool

Great sales tool.

Pros

Nutshell is easy to use. I am able to create templates and send out emails everyday to prospects based on the last time they were contacted. I am able to tell if customers open emails or not. Helps to dial in templates based on which ones are working.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to export my leads & sales data into a spreadsheet.

Streamlined Success

We all love the fact that we can add notes and tasks for each other when something needs to be done. I can go in and see my boss's tasks and make sure there is nothing he needs from me. I can see my staff tasks and see if they are on target or need more or less.

Pros

Integrating Nutshell into our business was pretty easy. My favorite option in nutshell is how customizable it is. My second favorite is the support team. Always there to help and offer suggestions.

Cons

I need a duplicate button. When creating a calendar event /task for a specific lead or contact, there should be a way of entering a default address. Or duplicating an event or lead would really cut down on data entry.

Pros

We track every single one of our customers and potential customers in this system. It is the hub of our business

Cons

I dont like that the relationship between the "Lead" and the "Business" is the way it is... I dont like that you have to make a Lead and a Business at the same time. It always seemed to me that a lead should be a lead until it turns into a customer (Business). It would make our lives easier if thats the way it was.

Pros

Lead view is good. Allows me to easily sort and prioritize opportunities. I am just writing additional words now to meet the minimum word count.

Cons

Search function is awful. I consistently cant find data I know Ive entered in before. Also I cant live out of the CRM like I shoud be able to. I have to manually enter calls and emails to track activities and there isnt a good categorization for people I want to follow up with but are not leads with monetary values assigned yet.

Great for Lead Management

Pros

We use Nutshell for our Account Management and CRM, however the biggest feature we utilize is the Lead Management. Being in a manufacturing industry for architectural material, we will have leads on projects that span over 2-3 years, so Nutshell allows us to track each lead and ensure regular follow-ups are maintained with the customer.

Cons

This was a brand new venture for us in this type of software, so we had nothing to compare it to. Like every new software, there was a learning curve but we felt that it was justified to the benefits we gained.

Pros

I like the new data and sales reporting. It works very well for a manufacturing sales environment. I also really like the activity tracking, todo list tasks, and last contact. It is very easy to sort through areas with that, combines with map views and company/leads territory custom lists.

Cons

Leads and company note sharing- when you put notes in leads they don't show up in the company without at tag. Also the Mobile app is easy to use but the notes aren't as easy to access. I would maybe add more annual planning details to help companies grow in addition to fiscal goals. Another change that would be nice for larger databases would be last viewed columns, say you didn't email them etc it would be nice to know the last time called or time the account was reviewed by a particular user.

Losing track of where we are with customers/venders/sales in general was killing our company. With using Nutshell we have been able to get our sales team on track. Our sales team has a good comfort zone with Nutshell Our experience with Nutshell has been very positive and was easy to implement!!

Pros

What I like most about Nutshell is the ease of use. From a sales team with varied computer skills (beginner to programmers) We can all be on the same page. Which is to stay involved with our customers.

Cons

The raw, raw when you get a sale.... Don't know that it is needed for an older sales staff.

Pros

Easy to use, well organized, saves info into a dashboard, quick, efficient, could use more contrast and colors possibly?

Cons

That it freezes and doesn't sync activities on a calendar at least once to twice per week. And then all of a sudden after an hour and a half of nothing, it loads up all the activities to it. It's very frustrating! I try to disable it and enable again and save, and nothing usually works until IT (nutshell) decides to work.

Nutshell for Small Business

Having worked through other CRM's, Nutshell gives us exaclty what we need as a small tech company. I have no complaints.

Pros

Affordability for what we need as a company, Nutshell offers a lot of tools that you need without having to shell out a ton of money like with competitors.

Cons

Some functionalities while operable can use some work. Engagement tracking is huge for me and at times it can be difficult to find out who did what without going into their profile to find that information.

A solid database for the entire customer life cycle.

A good CRM for documenting info and storing data.

Pros

Easy to search, sort, and document in this database. Extracts are simple to run and download. Overall it's a solid system.

Cons

Ideally, some of the contacts should be easier to line up for a company. A drag and drop would be great to manipulate the main contact.

Nutshell was easy to setup, personalize and get value from the application. We continue to modify to our needs as Testimonial Tree's SaaS based customer survey, testimonial marketing, online review and reputation management business grows.

Pros

We really like the insights we get from their reporting which helps us make decisions about our business. We use it for our sales, new customer on-boarding and retention activities. We've been on the platform for over 3 years and highly recommend them.

Cons

We'd like to see them expand their App integrations & Zaps (Zapier) with best of breed solutions.

Keeping track of all of my clients.

Pros

The system is among the easiest I've ever had to use. The Customer Service is top notch. They get back to me in a timely manner and I do like the Chat box for help.

Cons

It's not as robust as other CRMs I've worked in, ex: SalesForce. Missing a lot of functionality for larger companies or teams to benefit from.
