As a college professor and researcher, I collect tons of data using online surveys, and I've used numerous platforms to do so. However, ever since discovering Qualtrics, I could never use another platform again. The flexibility is outstanding, with the ability to create not just any type of question imaginable, but to intricately structure surveys to achieve exactly what I need for any given research study. Even with this level of functionality, it's extremely user-friendly and easy to learn. My students are typically able to pick it up and design their first surveys after only a short lesson from me, and I find that learning new functions when I need them takes almost no time at all. When I do encounter issues or roadblocks, Qualtrics' incredible tech support team is only a couple of clicks away. Their friendly representatives respond extremely quickly, and offer detailed, personalized assistance for even the most complex questions. I am able to easily gather research data in a cost effective manner. I use this software for research included in my graduate program. I love the library of surveys where I can essentially just plug and go. It is hard enough coming up with the research topics so this makes it easier to actually gather the data needed. Qualtrics' built in surveys also offer attention-checks for if you are posting the software to sites like mturk. This program is really easy to learn and is intuitive to use, and it is cost effective.

I've been using survey software for almost 10 years now. We recently switched to Qualtrics from Fluidsurveys (acquired by SurveyMonkey) and have absolutely no regrets. Building surveys is extremely easy and their library with predefined choice options & questions is a real time saver. Via their API we are able to present survey results directly to clients through our own platform. Yes, maybe Qualtrics is a bit more expensive than other SAAS solutions out there, but I haven't seen any organization delivering support as good as they do. We are a small professional services firm and at first I thought Qualtrics was (purely) focused on large enterprises. But honestly, I feel like a real valued customer.Extremely versatile, easy to use, extensive knowledge library (university).

The robustness and customization ability of ResearchSuite. It allows me to successfully use this as a self-service data collection tool.The ease and robustness of the functionality of Survey Design, in particular the features within Survey Options and Tools is very robust and allows you to customize specific to your needs. Data and Analysis tab also has great functionality.

I love the graphical UI which makes it easier to organize question types and to build surveys. After years on Survey Monkey I did not realize how much room for improvement there was. We adapted it in the College of Engineering at UC Berkeley and nearly all of the faculty (myself included) preferred it to SurveyMonkey. The ease of website integration is also a major plus.

What I like most is the fact that you do not have to be a huge company to join . Everything about this software is beyond easy to use. Qualtrics costs a bit more than others , BUT from my short experience, they have the best costumer support . I also value that the costur support is 24/7 . This is especially important to me considering I do some of my best tech work at night .

Pros: I have been using Qualtrics Research Suite since about 2009 and have updated it on a regular basis. I have reviewed other competing products and find that Qualtrics Research Suite has the best range of features, a very provides excellent value. I have purchased other Qualtrics products such as Site Intercept and their Offline Research App (which allows you to collect data in the field and offline, then upload responses into Qualtrics) and i am looking at their Target Audience panel management software. Customer service, sales and support are all excellent. Cons: Haven't found any yet.

The functionality and ability to create comustomized surveys with Qualtrics is beyond that of any other software I've used. I think what makes Qualtrics stand apart from other programs is that is can be used and appreciated by novice tech users to skilled coders. If you want to make a quick-and-dirty survey tool, it's got you covered. If you want to use API and embed your survey into your website and receive real-time data analysis, you can do that, too. The ability to buy a single subscription for your entire organization can make this very cost effective, too.

As a researcher, I've built my fair share of surveys. Qualtrics makes this process incredibly easy. With some minimal time invested, I was able to create surveys with complex skip logic, mixed variable inputs, and more. What's more, I was able to monitor when people were filling out the survey, how many surveys were currently open but incomplete, and I could automatically schedule surveys to open and close on certain dates. Once closed, I can download all of the survey results as .csv or .xls I can't imagine research without this tool.

Out of the all the survey platforms I have tried (survey monkey, wufoo, google forms etc.), Qualtrics has the most flexibility and functionality, without compromising the intuitive, user-friendly layout. Building surveys is painless, and when building more complicated surveys, I never hesitate to call the support team because of the short wait time and COMPREHENSIVE, USEFUL HELP. Qualtrics allows our lab to create, share and score surveys EFFICIENTLY. With the `Library, we can store surveys, blocks, and questions, which can be copied, edited or referenced in future projects. We have a personal libraries, and shared lab library. `Scoring saves us days of data cleaning. We can score a survey multiple times for different categories we create (ex. categories like Depression Score, Hopelessness Subscale Score). We also can customize the point value of the question items. This is important when the Likert Scale does not follow 1-5, or when a question needs to be reverse coded. When we need more advanced/customizable calculations we use embedded data (ex. converting sum to word labels depending on cutoffs). With scoring features, data can be expertorted and ready for analysis with VERY MINIMAL data cleaning. Before I explain the cons, I want to lead with saying support is always open and grateful for feedback and has even reached out to speak with me about what features I would like to be added.
