It is okay, decent software that could be improved but charges a reasonable price
It's not as expensive as other sites and can be easy to use for non complex trials
Often ran into issues on more complex trials

Redcap is always reviewing the version updates to protect the system from vulnerabilities
The configurations are easily broken after patch updates

I like the customizability of the program and the ability to gather very detailed information.
I wish the program was easier to use and the reports were created it with filters or other usable tools built in.

I Liked to use RedCap, it was basic enough for me to follow and fill-in but it captured all the relevant information required.
I found RedCap very straightforward to use, nice sequence of click boxes.
Logging in after a break of 5 mins, not sure if it was our companies IT set-up but had to re sign-in too often.

Being able to verify data and lock forms means we are able to avoid time consuming QC on paper based inventory forms.
The overall appearance of the platform could do with an upgrade. The design is dated and can seem cluttered.

You can track participant visits and see who has entered data if a query was to arise which saves so much time. The export function can specifically export certain data sets making it easy for data analysis. The fact that each form can be locked provides us with an extra layer of protection of our data.
It would be good to have an app for iPads or tablets for easy lab use.

I consider REDCap as a very powerful tool for surveys.
It is quite easy to create simple survey but REDCap includes also many additional modules which can help to make the survey more proffesional. I am sure that I don't even know about many functions available. I have always found everything I needed among the features available in REDCap.
I don't really like the overall look of REDCap surveys. It also takes quite a long time to make a survey as desired (using branching logic).

Overall is a good experience but everytime there is a new bug happening in the codes and logic
They provide videos teaching you how to use the platform, it is user-friendly, and it is able to manage a lot of data.
Sometimes there are errors in the logic codes that you just cant solve and the error will keep there for ever

Over all, REDCap is a great data collection software.
REDCap is a perfect software for retrospective data collection with many useful features (e.g. data quality control, reports etc.). It is really easy to set up the project.
I often need to have the option "not done" for a mandatory question, but unfortunately it is pretty complicated to set it up (although it is possible). I would also prefer to have better options in appearance settings of the database. Lastly, REDCap is not very suitable for clinical trials where you need randomization.

Overall, this is a great application that works well with large datasets, including an assortment of options to be included under each survey response item. It allows for easy deployment through the use of iPads if your study allows for that use. This makes the survey administration extremely easy. Additionally, changes can be made to the surveys very easily.
What I liked most about this software was that it was extremely easy to use and ultimately did not require much initial training. It was very easy to amend certain surveys and data collection tools, and also very easy to export data in a variety of ways for ease of data analysis.
Features that would further improve this software would include a feature that allows for graphical images to be produced based on select data that is highlighted at one particular time.

Overall, RedCap is a respectable survey platform. It is user friendly, and manages and stores data well.
I like that RedCap is very simple to use. It does not have a learning curve for users, and the platform is very straightforward. I use it weekly to track responses related to research interview experiences. I like that you can copy and paste the survey link to distribute the form. The link can be used in many different messaging media, such as text message and email.
I wish that there was a better way to create a trigger for links to be sent, or continuous links to be shared on a defined timeline. For example, for this project, we have people completing surveys each time they complete an interview. They can either find the original email or message that contained the link, or I can share the link with them, but I wish that there was a way to preload dates in which the link should be shared, that corresponded with the times in which they are scheduled for interviews, so that it was instantly sent to them as a post-interview form.

I use redcap to conduct online surveys and questionnaires, and I think it's very easy for the users to work with it which is very important in my work since our users are unwell.
Creating surveys and pipelines can be hard and requires tremendous training, I wish it was a bit easier to learn how to use the features they provide.

As an NGO expert working with grassroots communities and training community based volunteers to do TB active case finding and laboratory referrals. Funds are received through a central entity and yet reports of active TB case founded , referred and treated are shared via RedCap for access by the Global Fund.
Accessible ,Easy to use and have an easy interface with other software
Well initially there were challenges reversing some entries but with time you get your head around it.

I have been using REDCap since 2017 for the purpose of creating surveys to collect data from a variety of populations. It has been growing over the last few years and is constantly trying to improve.
I like that I can create data collection instruments for longitudinal projects or even short-term projects. The development of basic surveys is pretty easy and they even have a bunch of additional modules that can be added such as multilanguage tools, recalculating programs, etc.
I don't like the way they output the longitudinal data. It's difficult to categorize. I wish REDCap had some more professional development videos or workshops to teach the new modules that they create.

Difficult at the start but very positive once you know how to use it.
High functionality. This software provides a sleek, simple, format for data capture and surveys which can then be gathered/collected seamlessly when the product/surveys are constructed well.
Ease of functionality. It took us months to properly set up our survey by playing around and trialing many options. Lots of calls to customer service support techs but once we had a better understanding, it works very well.

I started using redcap to organize my indicators in the company, by setting up a database that records my meetings. Everything is very organized, in addition to being possible to extract graphs and statistics quickly. So far I have enjoyed a lot.
I really like the versatility to create banks or surveys according to my needs
I believe it could be a tool released to the entire population

So far my experience has been wonderful. I use the tool almost every day, in different projects! Everything can be kept organized and in a same space.
REDCap is an extremely friendly platform. You don't have to be an expert in data handling to use it. I also like the way you can organize data in many different ways.
I believe the statistics could be better, however this is not a problem since you can easily export data to excel or spss.

REDCap is user-friendly and has all the functionality necessary for carrying out a large survey with hundreds of participants.
Logic functionality could be difficult to do for questionnaires such as IPAQ and PROMIS-anger.

It is a wondrful program to use for out team in collecting information and works easily with the team being all remote and working from home.
Our company uses the program for data collections as people are interviewed over the phone. This allows us to set up a flow and prompt the team the verbaige to use and guides them in collecting information. As the interviews need revised it is very easy to do so. The information collected is easly moved into any spreadsheet we create.
You must save as you go because if you are idle from the program for too long it clears out unsaved work.
