Great system to get you organized

2015-02-27

Pros

As a long time user of Goldmine, I was extremely pleased with salesforce.com.

Cons

I wish it integrated with Outlook on Mac. This would save me several steps related to emails. Some of the set up is not entirely intuitive (need to go to help and customer support).

Go to YouTube and search instruction videos on Salesforce.com One problem I experienced and fixed was the reminders. I would set them and they would not go off at the designated time. I started seeing a pattern when I looked at how many hours ago reminder went off and saw a consistent three hour difference. It's worth noting the default TimeZone for Salesforce.com is West Coast and I am on the East Coast. So you may have to adjust the time zone settings.

Overall a really great product

2016-12-06

The only two things I wish it did are, 1) have more of a project management element to it so a project can move from sales to production; 2) attach e-mails to every prospect, like GoldMine. But it's a great tool, we use it.

Pros

Easy to use and easy to organize and keep track of large amounts of leads, prospects, and customers.

Cons

You can name e-mails and keep track that way, but I like how in GoldMine you can attach actual e-mails with each person so you can see exactly what was said.

Good product. They charge based on a number of users. That seems to be the new model for software. The good side is if you're a new company you're not paying as much as a large company with a larger workforce so it's affordable and your bill grow as your company grows.

Not very impressed

2014-08-19

All other CRM systems I have used (SuperOffice, ACT, Goldmine) require next to no management time to have salespeople enter basic information (Meetings, Calls, To-Do, Emails, Letters...) whereas you need to constantly prompt the sales force to update Salesforce.com.

Pros

Great Reports and Customizations Great selection of ADD Ons

Cons

Inaccessible ex. in airplanes, sporadic on foreign business trips - I have no customer information when I have 8 hours on a plane to do work Requires manual processes to link documents, emails, attachments, calls... update night mare
