You can see in a nutshell all your assigned tasks, and can easily follow up on sub-tasks or comments within the chatter.
Sometimes it can be a little laggy and the interface may look outdated for some people.

At first we had interesting bucket folders in Salesforce, we didn't know any better so for us it was the equivalent of a spreadsheet with categories for leads.
If you are a large company with 500+ users I guess Salesforce is the way to go, if you are small or mid size try something like Nutshell CRM. Going with a smaller vendor has great advantages as they can push out updates a LOT quicker and have a smaller team that can make snap decisions on what's important while taking user feedback into account. I know it's trendy to always say "the user doesn't know what they want" but as someone who also works in enterprise software I find the real answer is more "they don't know how to explain what they want".
It's not intuitive, they do not keep up to date with web standards and the interface is just a nightmare. You don't know how bad it is until you use a website with an intuitive interface that doesn't make you click half a dozen times just to get to an edit screen.

SFDC is probably great if you are, say, Coca-Cola, or IBM, or Nike or some other massive global brand. But if you're looking for CRM advice on GetApp, it's probably not the right choice for you. Why? Because it's just way too much, of everything, for anybody who isn't a Giant Subcommittee of an Even Larger Committee of an Absolutely Massive Enterprise. Too many features. Too much to configure. Too much going on in the UI. Too much money out the door every month to use it. Too many hoops to jump through to pay. ... and on and on. SFDC is really the only game in town for a few specific use cases that apply only to the largest of businesses. Best guess: if you're reading this, you'll do better with Base, or Nutshell, or Insightly instead.
- The original and standard - New hires will (sort of) already know how to use it
- Cutting-edge UI ... for 2002. - Basically infinite flexibility - One of the largest partner ecosystems in the world - New hires know HOW to use it, but the UX stinks so much that they WON'T

Ease of use for a small business with a few people doing sales work. We didn't need all of the bells and whistles of Salesforce at the cost of complexity. As of a few years ago, you had plugged most of the holes that we cared about. Since then, new functionality or major new rewrites have either added complexity or relearning with little apparent benefit. I understand the need to do some of this but I hope you don't become Salesforce.
The LinkedIn connection is really important for us. It was a big relief when that came back. Also, the loss of historical record of communication for a Contact when you delete an old email is problematic. We are forced to retain all of these old emails and this can create confusion.
Hey Brian, Thank you so much for your feedback. We have no intention of becoming Salesforce and take your feedback very seriously. Our goal is ease of use for SMB's. We hope you will be able to quickly benefit from our changes and improvements. Amanda

I find it very easy to use and integrate into your sales process. The system seems to be very users friendly as to where to find things. Minimal training was needed based on our companies 'sales flow'. The leads report is also very helpful.
I like the lead creation and flow, it's nice because it mimics a check list which is helpful to completing my processes with a new prospect.
The bcc functionality, if I recall from using sales force there were more ways to 'tag to salesforce' via email that were easy while emailing and after the fact. I don't like that calls get logged to your google calendar after you take notes on them. Seems to clutter things up for no reason.

Ease of use compared to a zoho or salesforce. Value for price/head.
Colorful and easy to navigate - easy for legacy and new sales associates to use and get something out of it.
Search is terrible. If you don't know exactly what you're searching for, far too few results populate to make good decisions. Should be able to type query, press enter and get a list 20 results or more. If you have 12 leads with a company, the one you're looking for might not show up. Also how you enter info - like adding a person to a lead. if you don't add their role or notes when creating the person, you can't add it later unless you exit the lead and update the person on their profile page - this should be an option in the pop-up quick edit window.

transparency into our sales process
I like the ability to customize the sales process. That multiple users can be under one email and team. The dash board is a great at a glance indicator of where we are in the month.
The calendar/sales goals does not line up with our fiscal months. We have a booking cycle and a sales cycle and it hard to track against both of them.
Thanks Liza! Our team loves working with you as well. It's always great to have local customers from great companies. Frank

We have tried out Salesforce.com, PipelineDeals and Highrise. Nutshell is by far the best in every things. The user interface is much more intuitive and the integration with tons of cloud-base applications like Xero and Quote Roller is just wonderful. The automation of the sales process is excellent and the customized template of the sales process makes it really easy to remind the sames reps of what steps are to be taken next.
Easy to use and the reporting section is just amazing and very easy to customize your own reports and save them to reuse. The social aspect of mentioning team members and accounts is great. Plus integrated email and a Mobile App
I would like to see more updates, especially in the mobile app

Tracking activity of sales reps, customer account data, establish sales goals.
The layout is great and easy to use. The support page has all of the information we need to find out how to complete a specific task.
When entering in a customer account, the app will erase the letters while you're typing. We are also experiencing a problem after logging activity the app will delete all of the information we are logging. I live in Ann Arbor and have asked to meet in person several times and the answer is always no. I need to know these problems can be fixed.
Hi Barry, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to host you and other customers here in our office. Please do call our office to set up a time. We look forward to meeting with you soon. Amanda

I use nutshell all day every day and it's the main reason my sales production is so good. It keeps me in check and reminds me of what I need to do and when.
It's easy to use, keeps me in check and it means I don't have to worry about admin. It has tonnes of features and integrates with my emails meaning everything is recorded automatically including meetings.
Lots of pay walls plus there's no easy to use sales automation
Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Javier! We're glad to hear Nutshell's features and email integration are helping you track everything you need to increase sales! All the best, Jewell from Nutshell

Simple and accomplishes what we need unlike Salesforce which can be overwhelming if you simply want a CRM prospecting tool
Like anything, it takes a while to get used to new software, but overall it's been great - I just needed to make sure I carved out some time to mess around with it

Nutshell is a good CRM if you are a small company getting started. It doesn't have as much functionality as Salesforce.
Not the most robust CRM but it fits well for smaller companies who don't need all the features and bells and whistles of other CRMs.

Great sales tool.
Nutshell is easy to use. I am able to create templates and send out emails everyday to prospects based on the last time they were contacted. I am able to tell if customers open emails or not. Helps to dial in templates based on which ones are working.
It would be nice to be able to export my leads & sales data into a spreadsheet.

Sales process follow up
Consolidates all information of current, past and future leads. It has reported, but I would like to have different Access in order to get the most value proposition on this sales report. Could it possible to download Customers information from a local Data Base (for example Excel), in order to have an automatic upload or update.
Would be easy if you can assign a person to all activities as a default and manage excepción with other names. Link the activities or Schedule with our Outlook email or any emails. To have the opportunity to do an update from both sides outlook or nutshell for example.

Organization across sales, support, and billing.
The Dashboard is amazing for keeping up to date on the happenings in Sales. I also really appreciate the Wallboard(summary of sales that month) as we google cast it to your TV in our kitchen. The sales process functionality ensures all leads go through a standard sales process. Really good stuff. We're really glad to have supported Nutshell all these years.
SaaS support. I'm still not able to find CRM software that is geared towards SaaS companies. Seeing as Nutshell is a SaaS company I'm surprised they haven't added support for this yet. Once a lead is marked as one, you can't have steps in the sales process (mail a welcome package, follow-up after 2 weeks, 1 month, ask for an online review ;P) You have to manually create these tasks. Instead we've had to utilize Zapier to add a task to Asana for this. I wish we could do it all in Nutshell.

At first, I thought it was "clunky" but over time, and some super cool changes have actually helped me be MORE detailed. I would like to be able to run reports on customers, Not on sales necessarily...But on simple account activity.
I can dump tons of data into the CRM, which I do for each customer. If I work on something that ends up going to anther salesperson, I can already have TDS and SDS information. Visit notes, I can make changes to contacts within a customer in seconds. The world changes quickly, and Nutshell lets me change with it.
Leads is convoluted. Each sales person does things differently. For example. I sell Industrial. Many times my sales cycle can be two years long. I have trials and approvals to get from Engineers, Maintenance staff, and sometimes plant managers. Where a Fuel sales guy just quotes total gallons at a certain price, my job is highly detailed, constantly changes, So my leads don't fit into Nutshell very well at all. I struggle with the leads funnel. (It makes me look inefficient) I do not like the sales portion of Nutshell at all.

Keeping track of all of my clients.
The system is among the easiest I've ever had to use. The Customer Service is top notch. They get back to me in a timely manner and I do like the Chat box for help.
It's not as robust as other CRMs I've worked in, ex: SalesForce. Missing a lot of functionality for larger companies or teams to benefit from.

streamlining our sales team and reducing the # of softwares/tools needed to communicate
Ease of use, and reporting capability. Great to keep our sales team communicating on 1 platform instead of using multiple tools to carry out our daily tasks
Limited security roles, user preferences. Needs more customized notification settings to filter by sales team, not just all or nothing. Needs to take into account (for revenue tracking) recurring monthly service products, and needs to improve on international based sales team capability

Easy to use; Tracking clients and leads are very useful to driving revenue; Linking email accounts and documenting conversations saves me a great amount of time
Settings area could be setup better to link accounts and report setup could function a little better. Granted improvements have been made over the past year where it is much better than before.

Tracking customer data. Managing sales team activities.
ease of use. so easy to track customers and leads. Good canned reports. Easy to search data. relatively easy to add custom columns (still figuring out how best to use this feature).
