Sugar CRM is a traditional CRM, nowadays when there a new CRM software, sugarcrm has been basically been freezed. Not recommedend at all
SugarCRM is a traditional CRM, no other good things, no kudo points, just a CRM

SugarCRM is more cost effective that must CRM, it can complete the needed tasks and basic CRM requirements.
It's hard to understand and doesn't pack the punch as many CRM software. It's a little hard to follow-up, set-up. You also need to add your own SMS mail service to send emails.

Overall, this is a solid CRM that would be helpful for medium-large businesses. It is highly customizable, but that comes with a warning, that that kind of customization may make it impossible to integrate with other marketing tools.
This CRM is a solid tool for medium/large size businesses. It can be highly customized to fit specific needs for a business.
I ran into issues connecting this CRM with outside platforms using an API

Sugar CRM is a functional CRM that works reasonably well for tech-minded folks who don't mind getting used to its unappealing interface. It has the basic tools and functionality one would expect from a CRM and some of the integrations are solid (for data imports primarily).
The interface feels old and doesn't give the user much power to reconfigure it to work in a way that will help the user's specific needs. The marketing automation integrations are clunky, too.

I run my entire company using this CRM system.
Very flexible and easy to edit. Fast response time on queries (I use the OnDemand cloud version). Good support for SugarCRM staff. And there are many integrations and plugins that enhance the experience.
Lot of 3rd party integrations and customizations can "break" as Sugar goes through upgrades. The Word and Outlook Add-ins are a bit awkward and time consuming -- but they do work as advertised. Sometime there is constant re-logging in to make them work.

I love the user interface, particularly how one can view various data about a contact without wasting time clicking through to the full contact view. The customized reports, headings, and sections are fantastic. So far our implementation has gone very well with helpful support from a Sugar vendor.
So far we haven't experienced any cons. Sugar is significantly more expensive than our previous CRM but cheaper than Salesforce, so it seems like a great midrange CRM for a company with 3-5 years of business in the growth stage.

Sugar has a cool name and is an average CRM software that is better than no CRM software. Links are limited but you can put in any info needed.
This software is easy to see and add data into, and makes a good resource to browse through. Info is easy to update.
The data does not link well together and the relationships you can build are very limited, which really limits the power of the software overall.

It is a suitable CRM if you don’t have strong requirements
The dashboard is pretty comprehensive and allows to immediately discover all the main functions. Fields can be easily customized
It is not the most user-friendly software available – other CRMs are a lot more intuitive. You have to invest quite some time to understand how it works

The contact management and scheduling is great for sales and customer service team to communicate with customers. As it is opensource, you can modify the script as it goes.
Easy to use and it covers the basic functions needed for CRM.
A bit complicated to install SugarCRM as you will need to know IT to install Apache web server. But once installed, it should be easy to use.

It is a good startup CRM for base use. Not nice looking not always working but cost no money.
It is a free CRM and you can fully customize to your needs.
Very hard to actually customize it. The templates do not fully work and thus many times the system just breaks. Not feasible to use without a programmer putting it straight.
Thank you for your review and feedback, however it is important to highlight that you have provided this feedback on a product that is no longer supported by SugarCRM. Sugar Community Edition is the legacy version of our platform for the open-source community, which is traditionally utilised by developers and not by businesses to run day-today operations. Use Sugar CRM to keep track of client records for 30-40 clients.
Super easy to set up program. Does a great job at keeping up with client information and tracking history of interactions.
The videos for training were helpful but oftentimes it appeared that they were for much larger companies than our small 10-20 employee organization.

The main benefits I got from this software was the ability to keep my contacts all in one place. It was excellent in scheduling tasks, creating contacts, assigning tasks, etc.
The thing I liked best about the Sugar CRM Community Edition that is free is that our developers could customize it for our company and add great features, something we can't do with the big name CRM solutions.
The thing I like the least about this software is it is very limited in features which makes their competitors a better bargain. Additionally, the functionality can be off. For example, our developers had difficulty incorporating some features into their free CE because of bugs. I have heard from others the paid version is overpriced, not worth it, and there are other better options out there.

Honestly, salesforce.com is better. A CRM without an automatically tracked last activity is useless. There are somework arounds that don't work for email rendering this product useless.
The features Sugar offers are standard. The ability to customize the product is ok (similar to that of Salesforce.com)
Sugar lacks the ability to track last activity. This is the single most important use of a CRM. This makes

I think Sugar CRM is great to have for a big office with clients.
I like that employees can keep notes on client pages for others to see. I like that we can list all employees within a business page.
I don't like for format when you view emails.
