Overall it has been an excellent experience. We were forced to change horses in mid-stream during the pandemic shut down. After a lot of hunting, this was by far the best ticketing software I was able to locate.
The controls I had over how tickets looked, how receipts looked, how many ways I had of contacting audience members, pre-sale announcements, post-sale reminders.
When I learned it in 2020, it took some time and some prior knowledge of ticketing. However, this software did what my older and then suddenly defunct ticketing sofeware could not do.
If anyone is considering ThunderTix, Alyce, I think you just sold them! In fact, our sales department is hiring! :) I remember when Fractured Atlas shut down Artful.ly, and I'm sorry you were affected. On the other hand, we're delighted to have you as part of our family! Thank you for all of the positive feedback you shared and for your excellent rating!

This was a good ticketing solution and is very user friendly software. We really liked it.
Event updates are very easy to perform. It was versatile and could accommodate many different types of venues, configurations and capacities.
Discounts were not as easily programmable but it was not a deal breaker.
Heather, we welcome all comments, but especially the "cons". Why? It gives us a chance to improve, and you may have noticed that we revamped aspects of our coupons and flex passes. I'm hoping that the new interface makes it easier than ever. Our updates will keep coming, so have a voice in our future direction by sharing ideas on our feature request board. No idea is too big or small!

It makes ticketing easy and checking in guests on a device gives us a more professional appearance.
I can quickly see my entire season at a glance and quickly check in my guests as they arrive. It has been a great step in moving towards a paperless ticketing system.
Our only issue has been when we are trying to check guests in on two devices, we have to stop to refresh to sync the list.

We selected Thundertix because they did not charge us on the basis of a per ticket fee. Our customers hated paying add on fees, and Thundertix was the only company that we found that did not charge that way. The produce is easy to use, but most importantly enhancements and changes are made based on client suggestions. They have a forum that you can use to make a suggestion, and vote on other suggestions. We have been using it for five years and have been happy with the enhancements that they have developed. Any problems are dealt with very quickly by the support team.
Has a lot of flexibility for other season ticket passes, private functions, and for displaying ticketing information on our website
Would like more integration options with Canadian merchant gateways

When we selected ThunderTix they were the only online ticket service that we could find that did not charge a 'per ticket service fee' to our customers. That model was vital to our selection as we do not believe online ticketing should be cost a premium over walk-ups. We knew that ticket fees never come down at other online ticketing providers, with some now charging over 50% of the ticket face...

A lot has changed since 2011 -- In February 2014, ThunderTix rolled out a full CRM for patron management. It includes complete patron purchase history, donations management, robust filtering to report on multiple levels of customer data. Starting up a new theater and our first foray into reserved seat ticketing, Thundertix made the transition almost painless. Everything was explained up front and no question went unanswered. Since our offices at the theater were not completed before opening night, the online capabilities of Thundertix enabled us to run the entire ticketing operation out of a hotel room. The customer service (Ms. Stacy Chapman in particular) is outstanding and you feel as if you have your own private troubleshooting squad.

No percentage based coupon discount (but we hear its in the works)
Per your request and the request of a few other venues, the ability to create a percentage based coupon was added earlier this year. Now, venue admins can create coupons that discount the entire order by a percentage. Customers that enter a percentage coupon code will see the discount applied immediately on the screen prior to checking out.

Moving to ThunderTix has been one of the BEST decisions our theater has made. We had been using a very expensive ticketing software which was just too BIG for us. I like to say that ThunderTix is the "Goldilocks" of ticketing software for us... not too big, not too small, but juuusst right!
What I like MOST about ThunderTix is that is does NOT cost an arm and a leg to get a powerful yet easy to use ticketing software.
The software has actually been fairly easy to set up and use. We had a bit of confusion at first migrating our information from our previous software, but support helped us a lot. We also had some issues connecting our credit card terminal, but I don't think that is necessarily ThunderTix's fault.
Goldilocks...what an apt description, Luana. We like to feel that we are "just right" for organizations -- especially small to mid-sized live performance venues and the arts like yours. Our belief is that if you listen to your customers (most are just like you), they are going to guide you on how to build the tools they need. That's how you became our Goldilocks, and we became yours! :)

Inexpensive event ticketing is no small benefit. Simple interface allows less trained volunteers to make use of it to help run events.
I never trust "new user" reviews because they can be biased by excited new buyer syndrome. But.... This product impressed me. Event setup is simple and intuitive. Reports are clear and easy to read. Database import was easy (they imported it for us but required only one edit from my original data). Integration with payment gateway and email service was trivial. Web interface is modern and clean. Coupons, donations, products are all effortless to create. Price is excellent.
Some pages need refreshing after edits, a glitch I am willing to bet is fixed before you read this. Experienced very slight occasional server lag during event definitions, but could easily be internet . Not a problem when purchasing when used as box office terminal.

I came in through Harlem Wizards but have been involved with other ticketing services before and was very pleased with the support staff

We are able to offer fair ticket mark-up costs to our customers compared to other ticketing platforms which charge way to much for their services.
We love the price partnered with all the incredible features. Also, Thundertix is ALWAYS working to improve and is ALWAYS adding new and exciting features based on their customers requests. Their customer service is also amazing!
I wish that there was more of a variety of email softwares that ThunderTix software could automatically import to.

ThunderTix is critical to our venue. Selling seats that our customers get to choose ahead of time is vital. Guests don’t want to drive a long way and not have a seat that works for them. The customer support is superior.
We have music shows each Saturday from October through April and without ThunderTix we wouldn’t be able to do presale of seats. It is easy to use and any time I can’t figure something out or have an issue the support is fast, friendly, and easy to access. I wouldn’t change companies because I don’t think you can get better support anywhere else.
The software is easy to use. I would like to be able to sell product a little easier and set up a menu for our food sales -but as ticketing software it is top notch.
We believe that prompt, insightful, and courteous support is essential to our clients. Like you, we would never think of leaving a service that provides the same level of service to which we strive to provide. Stay tuned as we continue to improve our product and concessions support with some surprises expected by year's end! Thank you for your wonderful review!

I would definitely recommend thundertix, especially if you are unfamiliar with ticketing an event (it was my first event hosting experience). Its the easiest and most affordable ticket company out there!

We changed to ThunderTix in 2013 from another well-known ticketing service. The transition was very smooth and made our internal operations much easier. Reports are excellent for tracking sales and bookkeeping.
ThunderTix integrates well with our website and makes the ticket buying experience very easy for our patrons. Ticket map shows our semi-thrust venue to our patrons. They offer many options to customize the program for your use.
We have no negative comments. ThunderTix is always ahead of the curve in terms of adding improvements. The feature request board is very helpful.
Steven, I swear you and Gail (another reviewer here) must work for the same organization. Both of you are loving our ease of use! As I mentioned to her, design is a huge component of what we do, and the result is evident in a beautiful interface that's easy for even the most occasional volunteer. Our venue used to be a ticketmaster shop. We were able to cut our service fees to our customers per ticket by over $2, but still were making 400% more per ticket than we were with ticketmaster. Talk about win/win! Overall profits for our first year of ThunderTix are up 25% just from switching over. We are about to enable facebook sales which should further increase revenue. Stacy Chapman is an unbelievable resource that has been there every step of the way to bend ThunderTix to our needs. I wish all tech companies were as pro and nice to deal with as ThunderTix. If you sell tickets and like to make money, ThunderTix is absolutely the way to go!

It's a great service, and while pricing has gone up since we first started with Thundertix we still believe it is one of the best values for a full service ticketing solution
The fact that we can set up all of our shows and sell tickets easily both online and in person (point of service) makes it a great service. The software and show setup each year is just so easy to do. It takes very little time to get our new season set up to sell through Thundertix.
I really wish they had a way where we could sell our subscription packages online where our returning patrons could keep their same seats season after season without us having to place them all back into the seating charts manually, before ticket sales open up to the general public.
Just today, Dan, we launched the automated same seat renewal! We even allow you to design your own renewal email with your own brand. Please connect with our staff to get a walk-through. We are super excited about this time-saving functionality. I love that you appreciate our time-saving tools, and we hope this new renewal feature makes your job even easier.

We're a small non-profit run by all volunteers. Managing our events has been a nightmare. With ThunderTix our ticketing pretty much manages itself and saves us hours of work. It's also extremely affordable.
it's very intuitive and has a very well built out help system. It's also flexible so we have been able to tune it to meet our needs. The support is VERY responsive
Only thing is that they won't allow PayPal as a way for members to purchase tickets. We didn't realize that when we signed on.
Hi Alicyn! Again with those words again -- "responsive" and "support" in a single breath -- making our hearts leap. The challenge with Paypal is that it takes you off the site. This poses some difficulties for our users when clients abandon the order (they no longer can "cancel" an order), and it can be confusing to patrons. We try really hard not to do anything that causes extra work for clients or causes frustration for customers. I hope you found a gateway that fits your needs and hopefully exceeds expectations. I would definetly recommend using this ticketing system versus the competitors. The best part is that our money goes directly into our bank account daily instead of waiting to get our money after the Event is over.
We have been pleased with Thundertix overall. This system is user friendly and the customer support is great when you need assistance. It is nice to have a ticketing system where the user can be so hands on.
The customization aspect is the only con. In order to customize this system to fit your needs such as reports, you are charged an hourly rate in addition to your regular monthly maintenance fee.

ThunderTix is the easiest ticketing system I've seen in use. The number one plus for us is the ability to choose whether to pass along the cost of the system to our customers or include them in our overhead costs. The technical assistance is the best and is more than responsive to suggestions and requests than any other software system we've ever used. If you have an existing system, or are looking to get into online ticketing, don't miss the opportunity that ThunderTix provides.

I have really appreciated your quick customer service.A lot of the problems could have been solved much quicker if Thundertix had revealed that your integration system with websites doesn't really work. It took much too long for Thundertix to communicate this and we lost many sales. I suggest you do not offer this option as it was a selling feature for me and I was very disappointed with is not working for several months and Thundertix not providing solutions and instead saying it must be the customers fault; until 6 months later after several emails Thundertix finally communicated that the integration doesn't work well and we should switch to being directed to Thundertix site for ticket sales. Your quick responses are great. I really like all the other services you provide. Easy to use.
Ticketing, coupon codes, analytics, are what I use most in this software and have been an essential part of what has helped out business to grow and be successful so far. Customer service tickets is an essential software service.
It was really important to me for the software to integrate into our website. This was a selling feature for me. It caused an enormous amount of troubles and problems for much too long. We switched to the customer being directed to the Thundertix site for ticketing, which is smooth and works well now and solved months of problems and lost sales.
Thank you for the kind words and the critique, as both are important to us. Chrome upended things when they stopped providing persistent "sessions" which track processes between your browser and ours. Sadly, we were forced to pull our support for iframes. Down here in Gruene, Texas we are always "gently resisting change", but in 2010 it was time for our ticketing system to evolve to keep up with our now technology savvy customers. Back then, the Thundertix features were few but we didn't need anything fancy - just a reliable ticketing system that was user friendly. However, it didn't take us long to have a wish list for features, and Dawn and Stacy considered each of our requests regardless of how big or small. They are a fantastic partner to work with, and we always feel like a VIP customer. Now in 2015, they call us to make sure we are aware of new features to help better our customer's experience or minimize our labor. We greatly appreciate the Thundertix Team, and I would highly recommend ThunderTix for online ticketing needs!

From the very first contact with ThunderTix over the phone, I knew I had found the right ticketing system for our choir. Every question was answered confidently. Details of the system were explained in very understandable laymen terms. Limitations of the ticketing system were offered honestly with explanations of how to overcome them. After deciding on ThunderTix, I was walked through the steps of set-up quickly and easily. The choir's performance ticket system was launched within a few short days! I have not had one issue with any sales to date. Love it!
