Pros

It makes running my shop fantastic. Love all the reporting capabilities as well.
From customer service stand point, they are an amazing company, they will try to accommodate and go above and beyond to help you.
Also I can customize my receipts with my logo and I also like that I can offer in store credit for returns or gift cards. Love the option to offer layaways.

Pros

Ease of use and fantastic customer support. Functional features, from inventory control to tracking sales, that make running our business a successful enterprise.
It has been a wonderful experience from the start. The inventory tracking, the invoicing, Quickbooks integration, time clock, rewards program, and the list goes on of all the awesome features.
M super happy with Lightspeed and I like how they have 24/7 customer service in case of a glitch. The staff is always very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

Cons

Can’t change a payment method if you hit the wrong one causing issues at end of day. Has messed up inventory/costs 2-3 x and we lost our work.
Someone who does not know excel well he is in trouble unless he sells the same products forever. No manual provided so no employees cannot look up something they have never done before.
Main missing feature set is related to lack of insights over booking vs sales. Relevant to retailers that sell a lot of layby (advance booking of goods with a down payment), and we do.

Cons

We recently had a budgetary conflict from when we built the budget to now with the renewal. Our rep worked with us so closely that the conflict was non-existent.
In only 6 weeks of us using the system we had 3 Saturdays with credit card processing failures for over an hour. We've had 2 complete system failures, and today we are experiencing a bad gateway.
Being we are locked into a contract we have no way out but are actively searching for an alternative as to not live in the fear of an outage at any moment.

Nothing Special.

In 2 years I have had 7 account managers so they are there just to sell you the product but zero help when you need it.

Pros

It doesn’t have enough Pros . It doesn’t stand out as better than NCR Stiver or Vend. They all can do the same even though I was told differently.

Cons

I am in Bermuda and they set me up wrong from the beginning I get most messages etc in Dutch not English. My currency wasn’t available and finally it was sorted after months. Accepting deposits is critical to my business and this solution is too cumbersome. Discounts,If a client buys 2 of the same item and I want to discount one of thembecuae of a flaw it doesn’t work. I have to calculate the discount and divide it by 2 pain is you know what.

Lightspeed Retail

Glad we switched to Lightspeed!

We opened our brick and mortar bicycle retail and service shop July this year. We started with Vend POS, but that was not well suited for our labor-heavy business model. Shortly thereafter we transitioned to Lightspeed, and could not be more pleased. Nearly all our vendor catalogs are already in Lightspeed, so receiving inventory is easy. Further, Lightspeed's item types simplify selling bulk items, tracking serial numbers, etc. Most of all, we appreciate the ease with which we can now log customers, their bicycle information, and the services we perform for them, all in tandem with each other. I would highly recommend Lightspeed to anyone operating a bicycle shop!

Fantastic Inventory Management

We've been open a little over three years. When we first opened, we explored over a dozen Point of Sale systems including Revel, Shopkeep, Vend, Lightspeed Retail, Square, and several others. We decided on Lightspeed, but discovered they didn't have a clear roadmap for Apple Pay, and so we went with our second choice, Shopkeep. Shopkeep was fantastic for the first year, but as our inventory grew...

Pros

- Excellent Purchase Order Workflow - Easy tool to do inventory counts quickly - (Beta) Import Tool makes it easy to bulk load new items, or update existing ones - Supports custom fields to add additional information to items (Release Dates, for example) - Phone and online support is fantastic

Cons

- May seem pricey if you aren't leveraging all the features - Limited barcode scanner compatibly - Custom fields are not currently searchable
