Overall it's great. It's cut the response time to urgent issues and increased communication between all facets of the company. It's more direct than email and less cluttered with other things.
It's simple, can be used on your phone or in a browser, and easily set up groups. We've been using it for instant messaging in urgent situations and calling in emergency situations and it has really ensured that things get taken care of immediately despite our development team being in a different country.
There really isn't very much that I don't like about whatsapp, it's easy to use and secure. The only thing I can think of is that the quality of VOIP on calls with more than 3 people is not great.

Very good, like I said it makes collaboration really easy and is great for instantaneous feedback.
It's free and easy to use. We use this to communicate and cascade messages and the ability to send images or take pictures and to then share these make it super quick and easy to give instantaneous feedback. It is also good to know who has seen your message too.
If photos are deleted from your phone it removes them from the app, it would be good if these were stored somewhere such as a cloud database to prevent this from happening.

What's app works extremely well for communication. Easy to get conversations in groups and reply to certain messages, forward messages. There are some slight cons as I mentioned, and you cannot backup from android to iphone or vice versa. But overall for effective communication it works really well.
It's free. They have a client for phones and desktops (mac and pc). Messages are encrypted for now, easy to share photos and reply in group chats.
Cannot install on multiple phones/tablets. Only one, but can use on multiple pc's. This is limiting if you have 2 phones then you have to backup and send back up to your other phone, verify number and restore from backup on your other phone, every time.

Although the reply to specific conversation definitely helps it's hard to focus on important announcements. This is aided but the save, but it's kind of like an email inbox. Without followups, some text may be responded or seen too late.
It's great to keep conversations fun and light-hearted with the use of GIFs and stickers. I like the ease to communicate with people across the globe. My favorite aspect lately is to be able to video call a group all at once. I love you can star important messages so you can go back to them easily and fast.
I don't like it because although messages are more likely to be seen they can also get easily lost if you don't keep up. It is harder to dry a line between work and personal conversations

The application has an extremely user-friendly interface. I've never used the normal message since I met with Whatsapp. I can quickly share photos / videos / documents / gifs / audio recordings. It is also very useful for older people around us, especially for voicemail transmission. They can send voice messages via the application at the push of a button. Especially useful in emergency situations. In addition, the message is read by the receiver can be checked with blue tick. And finally creating a group in whatsapp is a very useful experience
I have been using my first smartphone since I bought it (since 2012). so far I have not encountered any negativity.

I would highly recommend WhatsApp to for business or any type of networking. It makes communicating with co-workers in the field or in other cities extremely easy.
WhatsApp allows our office to communicate with different teams, in varying cities, as well as some of our subs, or the entire office as needed. We use it in multiple ways from job scheduling notifications to sharing job photos and whole office notifications regarding anything from holiday schedules to payroll and accounting reminders. Its delivery status helps ensure everyone saw the message. It is quick and easy to use and add to teams/groups, if needed.
I don't really have cons for WhatsApp for how we use it. The were some things I discovered about the app that I didn't know. I had to turn off a feature that was automatically saving WhatsApp photos to my phone storage and Google Drive.

Apart from peer to peer messaging it provides features such as message broadcasting, location sharing, contact sharing etc. Another appealing feature for me is that audio messages can be heard like nomal calls - no need to put it in speaker or use of earphones. It aslo provides audio and video calling features with considerable clarity. It also supports end-to-end message encryption which increases the security of communication. Another highlighting feature is the ability to delete messages within a particular period of time.
WhatsApp calling feature is not supported in all regions in the world. Also there is a limit for file size which can be transferred.

Easy to use and flexible, you can use it on the go without any costly hardware / servers and allows you to be contactable 24/7 if you choose. Widely used globally so has a good reach for your user base.
WhatsApp has a large reach to many users. People are familiar with it and happy to engage with you via this medium. The business app is separate to the personal version and both can be used at the same time. This makes testing easier too being able to use your own accounts.
The lack of integration which requires technical knowledge can be time consuming / costly. You are also restricted by the WhatsApp platform for features / integration. This could be a cause for concern for non basic users.

Overall it is the top messaging app for direct contacts. Broadcasting messages is simple, sending location, as well as grouping contacts. For work as well as personal use it is really efficient.
I like the fact that Whatsapp has end-to-end encryption and allows you to send instant messages as well as media like videos, images, and audio without decreasing the quality. For me, this is very important when I need to send a higher resolution image to someone quickly from my phone. Also calling contacts overseas using wifi/data saves me a lot of money when communicating.
I have used it for so long, and to be honest, I cannot really fault it in any way. It has been consistent over time.

It’s really good up, with supporting of voice and video messages.
A very convenient application with support for all languages of the world. Bright design, many smiles. One of the most enjoyable is that you can create groups. My team and I created a group where we could communicate and discuss working issues. The application supports not only text messages but also voice and even video. For all the years of my use, I have not found any problems.
The nice thing is that the application supports voice and video calls anywhere in the world, you just need the person you are calling to use the Wats up application too. I highly recommend this application. Thanks to the developers.

It is just amazing, I enjoy it every day and go crazy when the platform is not available
Software is easy to use, the connection with other users allows me be in contact with my relatives in Venezuela and friends around the globe without any additional fee. It is simply the most important app that I have in my phone right now.
The only thing to improve will be to allow the users to send messages without the need to have the others person’s phone saved on my device. It would be amazing if you have a feature to just dial the number from the person that you would like to contact to and do it right away. This will help me a lot with reservations on restaurant, airlines, etc.

Whatsapp has been an amazing software to have. I have just started using it for work purposes and whenever you are offline, or out of working hours, it is a great tool to be able to communicate with others.
Whatsapp has been revolutionary here in Honduras at least. It is easy and fun to use, aside from being free and having the call and video call options now as well. Additional to this, I like how they structured the business accounts now for people that want to manage their whatsapp for Business, very clever move!
When it goes down, it's totally down. Specially in specific dates and times like new year's and christmas. The network kinda crashes, but lately it has just gotten better. I have no complaints about this.

As I said above... I'm a huge fan of this software when we are on site overseas. It helps me communicate quickly and efficiently without having to find a locked down software like Microsoft Teams or asking for telephone numbers.
My company uses multiple softwares to communicate with each other for exicusion on our onsite duties and we need to have multiple groups and accounts between backend staff and clients and whatspp makes sure that all of our team regardless of country can use their mobile phones to chat without incurring international charges.
The biggest drawback here for me is that their isn't really an integration piece for other softwares to use this outside of the mobile phone.

WhatsApp is user friendly, its functions are easy to master. It is also a safe App to use for confidential calls and messages as it has end-to-end encryption. The application can be used at low costs as it does not consume much data. It also allows for one to create groups which is a positive attribute as it makes it easier to have group discussions from various parts of the world. Lastly, it allows communication with another user from other parts of the world.
There are various types of WhatsApp, therefore if you delete messages sent , the receiver at times is able to retrieve the deleted message. Lastly, no information is censored.

Whatsapp is of the best applications for the instant messages and video and voice calls. It provides great security features when comparing to the other related applications. Whatsapp provide high quality video and voice calls.
Whatsapp is free of cost. This is the one of the main reasons I like to use whatsapp. It saved my lot of money what I'm paying for IDD calls. Whatsapp is very user friendly. It is simple and easy to use. Whatsapp is advertisement free. This helps you to chat with your friends or family without interrupting by annoying advertisements.
You need to have a smart phone and an internet connection to use whatsapp. This is one of the main drawbacks. This will be issue for the people who living in rural areas.

I use WhatsApp all the time. The only thing that interrupts me from writing this is a WhatsApp notification. Friends, family and workmates are one message away.
WhatsApp is the best service to chat in the world. No doubt. Everyone uses it, it's free and you don't need a lot of storage to have it on your mobile device. Some services start using the verified business accounts, so it's easier to contact them. Stickers, voice messages, calls and video calls are some of the best features WhatsApp provides.
It's annoying that it shares it's data with all Facebook company's apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, etc). It doesn't feel private. It doesn't support Dark Mode. Stories are not what WhatsApp users need.

This software is amazing and does give users the ability to use other software with its software and I look that their are so many emojis, apps that are compatible with the software whether using Android or iOS etc.
Although it is owned by Facebook I don't like the linked devices software as it's rubbish. Why have this software if it cannot function the way it does like the apps. Connect it to a computer or laptop tablets etc is useless as all you can do is message each other as the software doesn't support them. Not allot off devices don't have the option to have this software as allot of users cannot afford to have devices that support this software.

Tough not the best tool for work, I use it daily to compete assignments and create work group to chat over work related things.
Installation process is very easy, and probably and most importantly, most of your contacts are already registered to WhatsApp. In adoration you have cloud backup for most of your chats, so switching between devices is convenient. Also it offers many features like group chat, video and audio calls. If my parents use it regularly it must be easy.
Many question have been raised regarding privacy of information in WhatsApp. Also, you can’t send a truly anonymous message. I don’t know of an option to group chats so it won’t be overwhelming when you have a lot of unread chats.

Overall, Whatsapp has become my go to non-SMS messaging app both in my work life and personal life as it is powerful and connects you across the globe.
The biggest pro is the cross-platform support. You can download the software on almost any mobile device, and it does not take up too much space. However, don’t let the size fool you. You get a lot of features such as messages and calls (audio and video) around the world, group chats, various media capacity, and overall great customization, making it one of the best free communication tools out there.
One of the main cons is that anyone you want to communicate with needs to have the app installed. Unlike iMessage and other softwares, messages attempted to be sent to people who don’t have Whatsapp are discarded rather than be sent via SMS. However, this does not happen often as it comes pre-installed on Android and is easy to download on iOS. This can however become a problem as people attempting to contact you may not get through until you resume internet connection. Another con is that if you choose to save messages, they can really chip away at your device storage. However this can easily be avoided by clearing out old messages or backing them up externally.

It is easy to learn its functions and to use it. It keeps the quality of the photos and the videos when I send them or at least I don't see a big difference in the quality. If the internet connection is good, you have also high quality of the audio and video calls. You have your data backed up or you can opt to turn off this option .
It is free to use and especially if you talk with people who live abroad (in my case outside the EU), it is much cheaper as I pay only for the internet. Also when I travel abroad I use it to keep in touch with my family. It offers everything I need: chat, send photos and videos, video calls, groups.
There were talks about how secure is your information when you use WhatsApp so this would be a question mark for me.
