Pros

They have been very open with our ideas and whether the system can help realise them and, if not, have suggested alternative ideas. Where they win hands down though is the support desk.
The look and feel is great and it's pretty intuitive. The ability to sell merchandise and event tickets is really helpful and I can create a CRM of non-member types is really helpful too.
Our Implementation Specialist was absolutely superb -- technical expertise, knowledge of the system, and outstanding customer support skills (patience, listening skills, clear communication).

Pros

The Help Center is wonderful. Any time I have to call I get good response and answers to my questions.
Getting better over time, but the best of the bread so far. Hope they can maintain their competitive pricing and rapid development and not let it reverse like their competitors.
It has been a fantastic experience, many of my colleagues have switched to AppFolio and are as excited as I am to see what they add next, as they are always improving their product.

Cons

Initially very frustrating and painful, the set up didn't feel intuitive, and confusing.
They should just offer a Wordpress plugin for membership management by embedding member management functions into a wordpress site -- because they suck at CRM.
Formatting pages is difficult for someone who does not have experience with the program. We have difficulty having members lapse and come back to membership, registration becomes a nightmare.

Cons

I hate change and had built a cumulative system of various software's to support our business. The idea of dumping all that into one system was scary and took some adjustment.
We have had new clients furious with us homes did not get listed or shown due to appfolio changes without warning. It really has gone from a 9 to about a 6 overall in the last year and a half.
Example, you can now email tenants/owners from their page. If the email does not go through there is no notification so we are unaware that tenants/owners did not receive our communication.
