Long connection times can be caused by a number of reasons (network issues, ports unavailable, ...) If you can reproduce this issue, we can help you see the exact reason why the connections take a long time. You are most welcome to visit our live chat so we can connect to one such computer and check the issue.

"Having multiple administrators use the same Session ID would be also a nice feature."
Since the session code (Session ID) contains a lot of important information about the session, each session code is unique. However, you are able to invite other operators into the session by using the 'Invite operator' option: https://help.islonline.com/37390/166673#invite-operator

We use Remote Support, Remote Access (Always on), and Live Chat (Pronto).

Pros

Most of the time we just use PC to PC, but I also connect from my phone sometimes, which is very convenient.

Cons

No complaints with ISL. It is only down when the internet is down.

Solid alternative to Teamviewer

The software allows us to provide a professionally looking remote support service to mostly new and unknown users.

Pros

We've just renewed our license for the third year. We're using it to provide remote tech support for our customers and it never let us down so far.

Cons

Two relatively small issues with it, last time we checked: 1. The chat identifies our staff as "Desk" and there is no way to change this.

Adhoc support tool, webchat and more

Our technical support team love it, as it just works no firewall issues or horrendous end user experiences as we can create a session send an email invite or ask the user to visit the our branded ISL landing page.

Pros

It also allowed us to host live web chat facilities on our website, which was another separate service we were paying for.

Cons

The webchat isn't as proactive as some other services, informing you when there are visitors on your site.

Overall this is a great product Easy to install, white label and support our clients

Overall great product for what you get in the price I really like the live chat and Remote Desktop

Cons

Screen recording It works but for some reason you’ve chosen to have the video in a format that only isl software can view We can’t even convert the file to a different format It would be much more useful if the video was In mp4 so it can be played or hosted online

Smart choice of Remote Support tool

We do customer services by ISL Online daily bases in our on premisses environment, so we are sure that our customers data and connections are in our closed environment and not somewhere in the "cloud".

Pros

Tools you might need are there for remote customers support in different channels starting from Live chat integrated remote desktop to Conferencing tool letting to do a training or technical presentation to customers remotely.

Cons

There are user interface not in all languages and it might be an issue with customers who don't understand available ones.

Guides are easy to run through and chat support is great

Cons

Working on Apple devices was a little difficult at first, but the guides really helped resolve things! Sometimes clients find it a little difficult to setup the Remote session but we normally get there in the end!

I still believe its a good piece of software, support is good and the dutch distributor DCC is very friendly and gained a lot of knowledge about the products of ISL.

Pros

Support reacts with knowledge and content.

Cons

With mac clients there is no easy way to run the software from the desktop with an icon.

Perfect tool for our customer support !

The customatisation (f.e. with our LOGO + Technician Name) of the interface is a nice AND easy thing, together with the selfstarting video-recording is a great advantage.

Pros

The auto-reconnect function in a remote session, after a remote (network-) reboot was done, is for us one of the major reasons to choose for ISL online ! We've been using this for some years now and will stay to do so !

Cons

No real contras encountered so far … We found a bug once, reported it to ISL; they loocked into it in a live session with us, and things got solved , so ... that's what counts !

Handy for remote desktop

The remote desktop works reasonably well, and it's our backup for when our primary remote desktop program, SimpleHelp, isn't able to run on a client's computer.

The chat features aren't great, which leads us to use other chat programs to talk to co-workers.

Great Value Remote Support Software

I used to use LogMeIn and was approached by ISL to try out there product initially I said no then the price of the other product had its third increase in twelve months which made it too expensive.

Pros

It supports remote connections to multi platform and devices and has a chat platform for you to converse with your customers which can be added to your website.

Cons

I would like to see some improvements in the Remote support logging page as I use this to generate invoicing information and it takes an export of the log and some reformatting to get it in the state I need.

file transfer is very useful, also multi session is invaluable to us.

Cons

cannot save passwords on IOS. also cannot use domain login details to authenticate. Reporting tools could do with a little more detail

ISL provides a safe and secure way for us to access customers desktops, it enables them to demonstrate the issues they are experiencing as we can both view the screen at the same time.

Pros

Easy and effective

We use ISL to give technical support on customer's machines.

Pros

User management interface very effective.

Cons

Some issues in RDP tunnelling on MacOs. Tricky to set-up on auto-scaling cloud machines (not critical at the moment). It would be great to be able to ask for help by raising a flag on AlwaysOn (so that at operator side we know which machine raised it).
