Pros

Unattended access is very easy to setup and initiate when appropriate. I have used this product for years with amazing reliability and very little need for technical support.
What I like the most is that it has two applications, a client version and an expert version. The video quality when sharing the screen is very stable.
I love the ability to view all users by office. I am able to see if they are logged in and if they are working or if the system is logged in and idle.

Pros

Its easy and cost effective. Most of executive willing to help more than to sale a product, its win win to customer and solution provider.
I really like how easy it is to simply invite or just send a link to a user for them to connect to a remote session. I also like being able to see the admin approval boxes when they pop up.
The ease of use is excellent, there is no major learning curve. Giving the end users the 'still in the office' experience of communicating directly with a technician is excellent.

Cons

My only complaint is the inability to share access with other users. This becomes a problem when I work on a team or when there network services provider uses FixMe.
Lack of Mac support is a big limitation, causing us to utilises two products. Limit on number of unattended clients that can be stored is a pain in the Rse.
So far, I havent found anything too terrible. The layout could be updated.

Cons

It can have a habit of not connecting correctly and just gets stuck in a spin and you have to start the session again which can be a little annoying.
I have features missing, when I initially signed up I had space to add more technicians now I am over the amount of technicians I am allowed.
I am struggling to think of any cons for this software, especially at this price point.

This saves me a lot of travelling time as I can assist people from my office.

Pros

I use this software very often, and always find it easy to use and very simple for the end user to get me connected so I can help them.

Cons

There's nothing really that I don't like about the software. Only one thing, and that's because I put a shortcut to the exe file on the desktop and because the software is updated so often, the client has to download the new software.

It's hard to knock the product as it is but it's just ok

Reviewed 5 years ago

I am generally able to connect to my customers computers to assist with issues and install software

Pros

On demand sessions work great East to install and setup remote clients Easy to organize accounts by company

Cons

No Ability to go cross platform ie mac No mobile ability The remote control agent doesn't work, well, sometimes gets eaten by anti virus clients/or disappears for what ever reason and you can't cut copy paste really!!! Their response is that's odd, just drag files...sorry to say that's a tedious endeavor with the spotty mouse movements.

Vendor response

Hi Thomas, Thank you for the feedback and for being our valued customer. We regret that you've experienced this copy-paste issue - this is, indeed, non-standard behavior of our application, which in most cases can be attributed to custom or advanced antivirus settings, or other 3rd party local factors that we have absolutely no control over. As suggested in most reviews here, FixMe.IT's file transfer feature is quite reliable and easy to use. Furthermore, FixMe.IT offers several file transfer options including a file transfer button and drag-n-drop, so our intent at the time was to provide you with a feasible workaround in case copy-paste didn't work with a specific client machine. Regards, Dan | Techinline

Worth the Investment

Reviewed 4 years ago

I've been using the software for several years. I have a limited client base, but find it very helpful in assisting them. Several clients allow me to set up unassisted access so that I can monitor/troubleshoot they systems without their needing to sit and watch.

Pros

The administrator dashboard and tabs make it easy to manage multiple sessions and navigate to use the functions necessary to assist my clients.

Cons

Some clients have difficulty navigating the interface and process when going to FixMe.IT to begin a session, especially for the first time.

Cheaper than many alternatives

Reviewed 3 years ago

We need a quick and inexpensive way to get connected to assist our customers and this gets the job done.

Pros

The price was right. We needed something to quickly connect to a client's computer that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Cons

It's not as bandwidth efficient as some other products. Some clients have slow internet and FixMe can be a bit laggy with them.

Good experience with the product. We use it daily to support all of our customers.

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Ease of use. It allows us to organize our internal users in groups and that saves much time when connecting to assist the unmanaged users.

Cons

That it shows in the task bar and loses connection to the FixMe server which makes it difficult for us to connect to those computers setup with unmanaged connections.

It has the main features which allows you to support your customers

Reviewed 5 years ago

Gave me the ability - a small company - to support my clients where I do not go into a negative income being able to provide this remote service to my clients and it helps keep the business expenses down.

Pros

Ease of use and price for the features it offers. Organization of the unattended access fills my needs.

Cons

Sometimes the monitoring of the other screen is lost. Would be nice to have sub accounts so others could assist where sub-accounts could be restricted to specific unattended access clients.

The software has worked exactly as needed. Very satisfied.

Reviewed 5 years ago

The primary benefit was to be able to provide remote tech support for my clients.

Pros

The product is very affordable and very easy to use. This allows me to maintain the software even though I would only use it periodically. It also allows me to give the client a link and thats all that is needed.

Cons

Only works with windows, no plugins for MAC. I have had several occasions where the client needing help was utilizing a MAC and I couldn't remotely manage their pc to assist.

Pros

The ability to remote into someone's computer without them being on the same network/domain. As long as they have an internet connection, we can connect and assist them.

Cons

Nothing. This software isn't bulky and isn't hard to understand. It's straight-forward and easy to use for all users involved.

Easy to use for quick fixes with clients.

Reviewed 5 years ago

Saves me time assisting clients online rather than getting back-ups or having them send screen shots. Or even go to their location. Allows me to pull unusual reports quickly and know I'm getting the right info on the client's software.

Pros

Offers secure quick connection to assist clients. Clients appreciate that I can log in and see what they see within seconds and fix the problem and avoid having them send back-ups or screenshots.

Cons

Clients don't understand the web address fixme.it they really want to have a .com in there! That's when I really wish I could see their screen. Easily solved if I can send them a link to their e-mail.

Valuable remote software

Reviewed 3 years ago

Plain and simple, this software fulfills my needs.

Pros

This software meets my needs to assist my clients without having to be physically at their locations, when and only when their issue is NOT connection to the Internet. This comes at a reasonable price to the user.

Cons

I would love for the package to be a little less expensive. I run a one-man operation and would like to lower my overhead costs.

FixMe.IT

An awesome tool for quickly assisting users.

Reviewed 4 years ago

Our organization has a different integrated remote support tool that we use daily for controlling workstations. However in an emergency when that software is corrupt, unusable, not installed, etc. Fixme.IT is a lifesaver for those instances where we need to quickly assist a user and get them back up and running.

Pros

The best part of the software is how it runs on the fly on a client without needing to be installed beforehand. The per-seat instead of per-user is a great value as well.

Cons

The expert console could be a little better designed. But after an initial learning curve, it does work well.

Beneficial

Reviewed a month ago

I found FixMe.IT's service extremely useful after struggling with a network that consisted of a couple of routers, a switch, and a Wi-Fi access point. I just wanted to connect to my network from home and I couldn't make it work. I emailed their support team and they helped me identify the problem and fixed it quickly.

Pros

I have been using FixMe.IT for a few years now and recommend it to anyone looking for remote support or IT Service Management. I have been using the service for 2 years now and during that time I have been able to help many customers. I always get back to them within 30 minutes and the experience is always very friendly. They have a great team of customer service professionals that are always ready to assist with your IT problems. I highly recomended it.

Cons

It takes really long to reconnect after lost connection problems. We had many connection problems because the application could not get full authorization from the operating system.

PC Paramedics use FixMe.IT

Reviewed 2 years ago

Network issues, Server issues, laptop and desktop issues. Printer issues. All the usual end user problems right down to data recovery on-line.

Pros

The client can watch what the techie is doing. Works reasonably well on a poor rural broadband connection down to 2mb/sec down - 50Kbs up Can see from the dashboard what connections have been made by team members

Cons

Trying to get luddites to run the client - not easy with older users especially. Lockdown has meant connecting to home working users used to having a co-worker close by who could assist. Can take 20 minutes sometimes to start a session! A simple click and go for the client would be a huge improvement. Lack of Mac support is a big limitation, causing us to utilises two products. Limit on number of unattended clients that can be stored is a pain in the Rse.
