Pros

I love that its very user friendly to use ad easy to manage tasks. I love the interface make it easy to get tickets handled and provide the best customer service for my job.
This was a much appreciated improvement. A great feature is that you can integrated with the big social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to allow CC to responde quite quickly.
Overall I’m extremely satisfied with Zendesk, It has a lot of great features that helps us provide a great customer support service which is important for a successful business.

Pros

Our company likes the ability to share content with the entire team no matter where anyone is in the world. Simple secure login from any computer and poof instant content for all to read & share.
Basecamp is a professional software, but I like its simplicity. It is very very nice to connect with.
I like this app because it is user friendly which is important but most important is the pricing.

Cons

Tremendously disappointing for a company that sells ticketing software to have such a poor interaction when it comes to using it.
Non-Existent & TERRIBLE Customer Service. You are just a number to them.
If you ever need support from Zendesk then it is horrible.

Cons

I believe the roll out of this new website and way of tracking our progress was poor and has cause a lot of frustration, discouragement and even loss of membership for our older members.
At times it can get confusing and files seem to get lost in the shuffle.
You know how you have to have check your email and phone regularly. You can just add Basecamp to the list, but it's worse, because at least you get notified of emails.

It's good, not the best, but definitely a cool idea that helps us stay organized and looks cool too.

Pros

It's cool how you can collaborate with people on projects and stay organized when managing several projects at once.

Cons

We've used it for a few months but found ourselves constantly going back to g-suite, just feels like anything we can do on Basecamp we can also do on g-suite.

Pros

Team collaboration is very easy. Document your project as you work and easily reference notes.

Cons

Pretty outdated UI. Personally I would recommend a more futuristic suite with more features.

Pros

I like that you are able to add Google Suite (i.e. Google Docs or Google Sheets) to the platform and not just Microsoft Suite items for real time collaboration.

Cons

The biggest con is really how the user is using Basecamp. With multiple folders and sub-folders, things get lost easily and takes longer to find items that are needed.

I've used basecamp for 2 years. Set up six projects including Competitor Intelligence, briefing and training repository for external marketing agency, document assignment and review with PR agency, same again with Copy Writing agency and a knowledge base for internal systems like CRM. Initially we didn't have this integrated with Google Drive / Google Docs, which wasn't so god as to review a document...

Pros

Simple way to collaborate on tasks and documents / attached files

Cons

I've since worked in an organisation that uses Slack and Google G Suite (Docs and Drive); and I think that is better. When and if Google add something similar to Slack to G Suite I think that will prove better and cheaper

Solution for the Overworked Project Manager

Positive experience. Simplified project management.

Pros

As a relatively new project manager, I appreciated this software since it kind of serves as a hub for a lot of features that can replace other methods. For example, we replaced Cisco Jabber in-house to just use the built in chat called campfire. This kept things organized from that perspective.

Cons

Would appreciate more future integration into the suite so we can streamline other processes to make things more centralized.

Basecamp Covers The Bases

I got used to Basecamp quickly and now prefer to work in that tool when Google Suite is not an option.

Pros

Basecamp has been around a long time and most people who work with remote teams and group projects are at least peripherally familiar with it. The software is pretty comprehensive and gives a lot of capability for project organization. It's been around long enough that there are loads of tutorials, walk-throughs, and even add-ons for it.

Cons

I remember being totally lost in Basecamp the first month or so that I used it because I was stuck onto a remote team where they were already using it and no one bothered to actually tell me how they were making use of it, so I failed to realize about half the features until I started just asking around. Some features were either hard to locate or less than intuitive - but because the software has been around for a long time, people seem to assume everyone knows how to use it.

This is a great place to store all docs and keep people in the loop on projects others are working on with ease. I can go check out the comments on specific tasks to see exactly what's going on.

Pros

I like the integration with google suite. We're able to keep track of docs, sheets, etc so everyone has access.

Cons

It would be nice if there was more availability for collaboration within Basecamp. It's mostly just leaving comments.

Its stupidly simple for anyone to sue and needs no prior training, a must-have for any organization that needs to manage multiple projects without breaking the bank or bringing in external consultants just to make something work!

Pros

- ease of use for end users - ease to set up new projects or teams - integration with email and G suite and dropbox - reasonably priced

Cons

- sharing with users outside the organization or team is a little clunky - finding documents in larger projects is a little time intensive

It was good for what it is but you might a want to look into other tools like google suite plus slack to get things organized and done.

Pros

We use to use the free features of basecamp before there was slack. It is a good organizational tool that allowed us to keep tabs on projects and forecast when things would get done.

Cons

The best options are not free so you are a hamstung on that end and there are a competitors catching up with more free features like slack

Cons

Not a full suite project management program I wouldn't use it for very large projects, but short term non-complex projects (99% of what we deal with) it is perfect.

Great for what it is

Pros

The pricing structure is a great deal for a growing startup looking for a way to maintain a documentation system and a product management workflow all in one place without going broke. Flat rate pricing FTW! Also has a nice clean UI and a generally good user experience.

Cons

The product/project management workflow features are not as powerful as a suite like Jira. More of a basic to-do list workflow without a fully featured agile/sprint interface.

Fantastic tool for daily team communication and sync.

Pros

At a time when teams are 100% remote, Basecamp provides a surprisingly good suite for team collaboration. It has great features for effective communication.

Cons

So far, I haven't really found much to dislike about Basecamp. It is taking some getting used to, but this would happen regardless of the tool, I suppose.

Pros

Easy to use high view of overall project calendar and status monitoring with simple functions. Easy to train users how to upload and update projects. Excellent global calendar provides clarity between multiple divisions and crew utilization.

Cons

Not as good a other file storage programs/providers out there. I also feel there isn't a communication feature allowing collaboration. Not the end-all-be-all for a Project Management suite.

Chiefly, sanity; Basecamp allowed us to impose organization on multiple participants within our company for recurring tasks, and on multiple collaborates across different companies for project management.

Pros

Basecamp is very easy to use, very easy to set up. You can build teams internally and with external assets; you can use it as a central information store for shared documents; its a substantial step up from collaborating using multiple tools such as email, shared directories, etc.

Cons

Basecamp would be a stronger product if you could define dependencies between To-Dos (task A depends on completion of Task B) and/or if you could synchronize due dates with G-Suite calendar.

Pros

Basecamp is an original innovator in the project management space. I like the tool a lot because it's very simple to use and doesn't take much to get new employees or team members up to speed with using the product.

Cons

There has been a lot of competitors who have entered the space since Basecamp launched. These competitors seem to offer a different suite of features, but Basecamp has maintained its ease of use and simplicity.

expensive and bloated

The new update has revamped their user experience but still remains too expensive relative to what you can do with asana free + google drive.

Pros

At the time we reviewed and trialed basecamp, it was similar to salesforce -- it has a TON of options. There were countless features, and the suite itself had something for everyone.

Cons

Unfortunately, the features were also a downfall, because the suite was hard to use, had a clunky UI, and just kind of seemed bloated and not user friendly. It was also expensive for free use. A lot of competing apps give you much more in their free programs, but basecamp STARTS at around $100/mo.
