Reviewed 7 years ago

It saves me a lot of time and paperless work.

Pros

Software is very easy to use and very elegant I think anybody can use it and make great applications.

Cons

It could make it easier if drag and drop functions were introduced. also will be very nice if you could get resources from your computer storage.

Nearly all the functionality needed to deploy great business apps for smart phones/tablets

Reviewed 7 years ago

Ease of use; fast development and fast deployment; great functionality for smart phones and tablets and can also be used on the desktop as well.

Pros

Ease of use/development/deployment; Easy interface with Google Sheets/Excel and other databases; licensing price points; good customer support

Cons

Documentation is somewhat lacking. Probably written by software engineers that developed the product. It needs to be geared more towards non-technical users. That said, there is a great user community to pick up the slack.

AppSheet simplified mobile development simply amazing!

Reviewed 6 years ago

Over-all, this app makes mobile app development easier in both iOS and Android. This software is simply amazing and makes the long and cumbersome software development easier than ever!

Pros

If you want to develop mobile app even without knowledge on how to do it, AppSheet is the perfect software you can rely on. This mobile development software makes you feel that you are an expert software developer because when your data was set-up properly, instantly your own customized and preferred app will be perfectly launched and published. I always use this app whenever I want my school records and data in a form of spreadsheets to easily share with my students and colleagues.

Cons

As an end-user, I can't figure out what I don't like about this software. For me, this makes mobile app development enjoyable in an easy way!

Surprisingly good

Reviewed 4 years ago

As a software engineer, I know how much time it takes to create an app from scratch (hint: it takes much longer than you think). With AppSheet, I can delegate the work to the non-engineers on my team.

Pros

I've been following the "Low Code" trend for a long time now. AppSheet is definitely a pioneer in the space. Data entry is super efficient. And the sample templates are very helpful (although, as a power user, I don't use them very often - I like to start from scratch). I've tried the competing products (including Google App Maker and Microsoft PowerApps), but I like AppSheet the most.

Cons

In the past, I've had some debugging errors. The error messages themselves were a bit vague. However, in the past few months, I've noticed improvements in this area. And customer service is always there to help.

AppSheet Feedback

Reviewed 4 years ago

Takes many hours to learn and understand but once the knowledge has been gained, its easy to use.

Pros

Although challenging at first to understand putting an app together, it has been very helpful in monitoring Leads and gaining feedback from sales.

Cons

The software is not as easy only in terms of understanding which sections you are working in to make changes. Once the understanding of the app terminology has been gained it becomes easier to use.

Was confusing for beginner, eventually I get used to it. All I wanted is to have my intended target

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

The software for my opinion is complete for beginners. It has all the error message and links to what the problem is for. It also can publish apps to android and apple. Maybe some user will find it too much to see in one page but once you get used to it, it will be good as its get.

Cons

Need more time to explore, for no experienced user this might be challenging to them. I am not sure about the price to deploy an app from using this software.

Awesome app. Easy to create your own mobile app in minutes.

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

Tons of capability. You can build as sophisticated of a mobile app as you/your business needs, and build it for multiple mobile platforms, and without having to write a single line of code.

Cons

A bit unfair that I gave them a 4 star on ease of use, because compared to doing this natively, Appsheet makes mobile app creation a breeze. But, there are some gotchas that will take a little getting used to. Well worth the learning curve, overall.

Review for Appsheet

Reviewed 8 years ago

It is very good. I want some new features. A question about the use of UX. I have about 10 tables which is related with another (main). In the main table there are field sites (farms) and with the other 10 tables I record different "works" (pruning parameters, Irrigation parameters, Srpaying materials and other parameters etc) about the field sites (farms). I want to have the functionality of the tables...

AppSheet Development easy

Reviewed 8 years ago

Development tool very flexible and easy to use, it learns fast and has good functions. Maybe, they need to reinforce the support issue and development guides, the explanatory videos are good (maybe translate to Spanish), manuals that, if they are somewhat excute and without examples would be very useful for advanced functions functions. I would appreciate if the licensing plans were more flexible, concurrent instead of named users

Pros

Easy to use Easy to use Fast developing

Cons

Poor documentation Not enough videos (advanced function

A godsend for somebody who needs to create an app out of a spreadsheet in a hurry

Reviewed 7 years ago

The GUI for this app generates exactly the type of app that I was trying to create from scratch in the first place. The app reads data from a spreadsheet and allows for simple search queries. Updating the data to search from is as simple as pressing a Sync button. If only it allowed for embedded code modules, I would recommend it much more highly.

Pros

It generates apps through a GUI to do exactly what I wanted to write an app from scratch to do.

Cons

It's a little deficient in the number of features it has.

Seriously A Game Changer For Me

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

Finally able to present my data in a useful way. Before it would be stuck with charts or tables in Excel and now I can get it into the hands of the end user much easier. I love that it also now allows me to be able to get model releases on the go allowing me to publish more photos.

Cons

Sometimes the support documents aren't exactly clear, but I haven't had a question I didn't eventually find an answer to!

Will WYSIWYG Ever Be Good Enough?

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Like AppyPie, AppSheet attempts to remove coding from the app development process. I'm not sure this can ever really be achieved. I find the AppSheet apps have a more modern UI than AppyPie and have a better catalogue of example/demo apps. I believe these tools are best for MVP type applications where you want to quickly deploy an idea however they may never replace coding your own (or having someone code your own) app.

Cons

I find it very hard to tweak the UI enough to really produce an app that isn't instantly recognizable as a WYSIWYG type app. Perhaps that isn't the case for everyday users, but for developers and techie type people, it's easy to spot.

Vendor response

Thanks so much for the feedback! We're working hard to improve our functionality and UI across the board to deliver a compelling user experience. That said, our product is also geared primarily towards internal enterprise usage as opposed to consumer-facing apps - hence the emphasis on function, data integration, workflows, security, etc. over consumer-facing app needs. If you have any additional need of assistance, feel free to shoot me an email at eddie@appsheet.com, and I'd love to help in any way I can. Thanks!

Amazing app!

Reviewed 7 years ago

Imagine using a spreadsheet for your inventory, but where your entire team can work on it simultaneously. Ok, Google Sheets does that...but imagine that entire spreadsheet visually represented as an app on your phone where you can quickly just add a row in your spreadsheet like you're filling in a form with drop downs, required fields, + - buttons for stock, making it nearly impossible for anyone not familiar with spreadsheets to mess it up. You can even add an image to every row/product directly in the app with your phone camera. That's just scratching the surface. You can have any kind of "rules" like if your "Total qty on hand" gets lower than your "min. qty" row (for example), highlight the text red. All I'm trying to say is: amazing app, developers!

LOVED IT, it has been super easy to create my app

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

Easy to do, everything that I need to implement in my app has been very easy, and all the features that I need to implement in my app have been very easy to find

Cons

Sometimes it takes couple seconds to load on the phone, and the tutorials can be complicated to read, I have been getting answers from other users. However, app sheets improved a lot from the last time I used it, couple months ago
