Overall this software meets our needs to manage over 400 courses and 8000 customers annually.

Pros

Arlo is so easy to use. The dashboard is always open to see what we are doing at all times.

Cons

I would like to see more functionally and customization around reporting on the Dashboard eg year on year comparisons.

best platform I have found for efficient, intuitive course scheduling, in-platform communication through skype, and other functionality tools. event management is so much more streamlined

Cons

so far, I actually havent run into any major issues. one thing that might be improved is the export of reports into csv/spreadsheet form, and then maybe the speed of customer support

Pros

Lack of extra paperwork required to be done by administration, ease of use for the registrants who can now manage their own registrations and information

Cons

I have to spend more time on tidying up to meet the requirements for accounts/reporting.

LMS Integration and improved training/event registration management over what our LMS can do.

Pros

The seamless integration with our LMS (Moodle/Totara has been a massive resource to advance our training and development programs.

Cons

While it has the ability to store many templates for design, and delivery of your programs, it could benefit from the addition of some more in the areas of invoicing and communications.

Our office loves it and our presenters enjoy the ability to see what their courses look like leading up to the event date.

Pros

Thankfully with things like a wait list with a programmed process we do not have to keep track of those details manually.

Cons

Perhaps it's just a beginning phase, and not even a negative "least" explanation but my least favorite aspect about Arlo is in regards to all of the features we have yet to utilize and set up. It provides excitement but when the start up is in the process and even a few months later, we are still constantly figure out new (awesome) things to implement.

Intuitive, easy to use software platform

Pros

Easy and intuitive to use - constantly being developed and upgraded Arlo is the best education management and student management software I have used and I've used quite a few packages!

Cons

There are still areas for development - but I've been in touch with Arlo and am told that they are developing these extra features - such as the ability to mark attendance by class and being able to change multiple sessions on an event at once, if a tutor changes - but we look forward to these updates making Arlo even better!

Has the potential to be great, but useability issues get in the way

Arlo is a very powerful platform, if you have a lot of time and personnel dedicated to managing it. They are really nice people, and provide great support. Unfortunately, it was just too complicated and time consuming for us to use and lacked some really basic useability features we expected from class registration software.

Pros

Really liked the back-end planning features for administering venue & catering details and instructor notifications. And the front-end class listing & registration page looked really slick.

Cons

And it is missing some really basic functions, like sending a notification to the administrator if someone cancels their registration, or allowing customization of the event email notifications that get sent out.

As you mentioned, Arlo is a very powerful platform that's built to manage all the moving parts of a training operation, but does take some getting used to. That's why each of our customers gets a dedicated success manager and 1-on-1 training to make sure you're confident with the system before you go live.

Capturing partial payments, such as a deposit at checkout, was released a few months ago. We're sorry we didn't get this out in time for you.

Customizing the automated email to match your branding is also something that we have just released. We're now working on giving you more control over the contents of these emails.

Pros

I find Arlo fairly straightforward and smooth to use and obtain information or add data to an event.

Cons

When searching for a series of events, once you click on one and leave, you are taken back to the menu page and have to start the search again, which can be frustrating.

It has been an almost entirely self study and self learning experience.

Pros

Seems very powerful. But the set up is too difficult to know. I like the idea of managing all my users.

Cons

Moodle required me to hire a third party to install and manage the plug in.

You joined us at a time where we were experiencing unprecedented growth and we didn't have enough staff to deal with it. Since then, we've hired additional support, onboarding, and website integration staff across our three offices (APAC, United Kingdom, and North America) to support customers in any time zone.

We're also planning to launch the next generation of our Zoom integration this quarter, which includes support for unique Zoom registration links and attendance synchronization back into Arlo. This should eliminate any remaining manual processes.

Arlo really makes our life easier, we use it to manage all our paid training courses and also track attendance of participants of other events.

Pros

Arlo offers less functions in one but you can add various integrations, e.g. your own accounting software.

Cons

For many functions (e.g. newsletter tool, online training) you need to buy third party software and use integrations.

We can add and remove instructors from sessions base on availability or "Best Suited" for a course. Transfer students from one class to another and be able to track such movement.

Pros

I believe that from the time I started using this software, my productivity and daily time management of classes, students and my resources have significantly been improved.

Pros

The enrollment side of things is so easy, the whole system and very user friendly.

Cons

Some of the reporting side of things need to be modified over time, we use this CRM as Account Managers so it would be great if we can utilize the reporting side of things in accordance to account manager more then what you can now.

Absolutely recommend ARLO for event management. The team have been super helpful and all the inclusions have been delivered so that my workload has been streamlined.

Pros

Integration with other systems and automation features.

Cons

I have yet to be able to integrate Moodle, I guess that is a slight drawback as I didn't realise it is not compatible with cloud bases Moodle systems.

I really wanted this service to be what it claims to be. When you do get a live body on the phone they are great people. Just doesn't happen often.

Pros

We love the sales pitch and it does everything but only if all your software is derived from the Southern Hemisphere.

Cons

Nor can it address blended learning.

Our two support teams based out of New Zealand and the UK provide business hours coverage across most of the world, but this does leave a small window in North America where neither team is available to pick up the phone. We're looking at ways to increase our support coverage.

Many parts of Arlo can be customized to US English (such as all customer-facing content on your website, automated follow-up emails, and your registration and checkout forms). We're also constantly adding further flexibility to the system so reach out if you need any help configuring this on your platform.
