As an instructor whose taught online and hybrid courses, I really like Canvas compared to other applications like it. I find that a lot of it is not far off from building a site on something like WordPress. But it is more complex and requires onboarding. I wish that it was easier and more intuitive for user and instructor alike. I like that it is open source and my school not only uses it but supports it so any question I have is supported by staff. Overall, I'm very happy with it.
- easy to design courses - powerful with many app add-ons - intuitive design
- complex backend - takes some training for less-experienced students to onboard

Canvas is, by their own admission, a feature-poor software with lots of customizable and additional opportunities to expand it. That is true. You need to learn how to use it, play nice with it, and it will play nice with you and with many other integratable softwares. Adapt to its quirks and you will be happy with it.
1) Easy to use as a teacher. Once you get the schema of how the software works and accept its ways and limitations, then you can really use it to your advantage within that framework. 2) Integration with other softwares. Canvas integrates with many other LTI providers, but everyone is slightly different, so you need to be willing to pay the price to learn how to integrate things carefully. 3) Speedgrader is nice. I've seen better ones in other LMSs, but Canvas Spreedgrader is pretty good. 4) Training and support. You can find, if you search carefully, tons of training resources for Canvas.
1) It's easy to create things that clutter your course, system almost without knowing. 2) The assessment engine is quite limited. The new quiz engine is still too buggy to use and has been way overdue. 3) I hate that there is not an autosave feature, specially when building quizzes. More than once, I accidentally save the quiz without saving the individual question and loose a ton of work. 4) It's almost impossible to find your grades across multiple courses. You have to go to each course individually and click several places at that.

I loved that the education system found a platform to use virtually.
I do not like how the training took for us to use it.

Easy to learn, students and faculty adjust quickly. The UI/UX is the best in the business for LMS solutions.
Still takes a learning curve - training is better than anything else but could be improved. I think they assume the institutions are providing the training, which is rarely the case for adjunct faculty.

We use this product to assist us with training needs. To help ensure no training gets missed as we're in an industry where we have a strong demand in keeping ourselves and staff up to date with all certifications and changes. This helps us keep on track so no one gets left behind during these unforeseen times.
It's easy to load the material needed and helpful in monitoring completion on training modules, accountability and communications where needed.
The system seems to create duplicates of the training depending on the hardware used for uploading.

The ability to add external tools that work seamlessly within Canvas as if they were a built in part of Canvas. This allows us to expand the ways we can provide content to students.
Some times adding an LTI integration with external service providers can be a little confusing if the provider does not have good documentation.

If you are seeking out an smooth to control platform for training and trainer team of workers members, Canvas is one of the excellent software out there. Great for remote team of workers and might without problems be used in-residence as well, as Canvas shops documentation in smooth to navigate modules. While in a few instances, locating positive features may be difficult, in case you empower your group to simply "click on around" then they may don't have any troubles operating within-side the platform and gaining knowledge of the essential material.
We have used Canvas as training education platform. it absolutely was integrated with the staff job training and education for the continued learning program. Canvas could be a nice platform to mix and combination all the training activities, info and courses. Canvas is employed across the native faculties within the space and have used it on variety of occasions for that furthermore.
They have some glitches nearly not possible for many organization to line up properly. An enormous disappointment for user.

My experience with Canvas has been wonderful so far and it has improved our training process for new employees. We can control every aspect of the training program and see how each employee is doing.
My favorite thing about Canvas is how much content it allows me to provide new employees during the onboarding process. Canvas gives me complete control over the content, courses, what is allowed, the time limits and when each module can be accessed.
The price is a bit high for this software, but it's worth it if you want the best online training program for your employees.

I love using Canvas in my classroom. It prepares students for what many colleges use and provides a better environment for me to keep track of assignments.
- Streamlined system for learning and submitting assignments - Gradebook exports and syncs - Widely used in schools and institutions for educating and training
- There is a learning curve for sure - A lot of options (can also be a pro, but some users can feel lost very quickly)

First I studied on some LMS, then I have chosen the Canvas for building my own e-course on this platform. I like that it is adaptive for Russian language, for mobile devices, friendly and simple for students. I have noticed that the LMS is developing, and judging by previous reviews it becomes better and better. All the rest depend on instructor.
- simple and friendly interface, entrance - support for mobile devices - support for Russian language - support for any kind of training materials (embedded code, html5, flash, multimedia)

Canvas has made deploying online training modules so easy. Working for a company that is nationwide where most employees are virtual, it was necessary to have fully virtual training modules that were still interactive and responsive, Canvas gives us all that.
On the finding appointment/calendar tab, I wish it was easy to change the desired time zone.

Overall pretty good. It’s what we use for the training classes so don’t really have another option.
I use this for my classes I take for learning at work. It’s not bad. Much better than blackboard that I used back in college. I like the functionality and the classroom discussions we can have. It makes an online class seem more like it’s something in person.
Parts of it can be a bit clunky and I wish there were better ways to filter through information. Especially in long comment threads with classmates.

Canvas is a pretty solid LMS creation product suited for small to medium size businesses.
I do like that Canvas allows the creator of training modules a lot of flexibility as far as what training presentations to create.
It could just be user error, but the software in my opinion restricts the number of formats allowed in its modules. Not a complaint, just an advisory.

It has worked great, we don't use it often but for learning and training it meets our needs.
You can set up different courses and easily add course material, quizzes, users, etc. It is easy to create and customize courses for specific uses.
We had a little trouble with provisioning because the user that setup the account is no longer here and we weren't able to transfer to a new user.

We are saving time and having reliable training done at the pace of employees without having to be physically training them.
The fact that it is easy to use. Very simple, and the fact that I can access it from my mobile phone using the app. Ease of access, reliability, and time-saving are very important to me.
Thus far I haven't found a flaw with the software as it is really good. I hope I don't find a flaw.

Canvas has been a great tool in our company. I enjoy using it for school as well.
Canvas is great! Not only do we use it for training, I use it outside of my company for school. It’s a very organized system.
There isn’t anything I dislike about canvas. I haven’t had any issues with the system. Customer support is always helpful.
