We have been using EzCare for many years. We use the portions of it that work best for us as an organization. WE are currently slowly moving our 24 locations over to the Ez EFT. It is going more smoothly than I anticipated. The centers have shared that Support is more supportive and quicker to get back to us than in the past.
The variety they offer
It is an American product so the cost for Canadians can be high depending on the exchange

Price-wise they were better than many and likely still are. New companies are coming out more and more...for many years the competition was slim pickings. I'm glad we've stayed with them through their changes and am interested in how being bought by Procare affects the quality...hopefully for the better.
For years we used the local server and then the hosted version of EZCare. We migrated to the website version a few years ago now. The website has a good user interface, the design is mostly intuitive and I like how often they are adding to the software/improving its quality. There are many staff members who've been great help over the years we've been with them.
Our migration experience was not terrific but we also had data that went back a few decades and there were issues on both sides. Softerware support team eventually did a good job addressing the related issues in a timely manner. I wish their custom reports were better...but their reports section is decent and the EZViewer gives an option to generate a type of report via pdf or excel that you can manipulate further once exported.

Parents love the ease of us being able to quickly pull up any information on their child/children, in case it needs to change, or if they need a copy of something. Of course, we wish we were on the version that offers the Parent Portal, so they could do those things themselves.....but our Business Office is too stingy to pay the extra cost. We also love being able to offer card payments, rather than just checks or cash.
Easy to learn and operate, even when updates and changes come along.
The ONLY thing I miss about the program we used to use is the automatic Tuition Posting when we opened the program each Monday morning. We have to remember to manually post tuition each Monday, which can get a little dicey, depending on how the day starts out!

It is great
It is easy to use and if you have a problem support is a phone call away. The support team is very knowledgable and fix the problem. It is great.
A little expensive and does not write checks or have some of the reports I am use to.

The price is fantastic for the quality of customer service and for the functionality of the product.
It is not very user friendly. Even though the customer service and the help prompts are abundant, the product itself is bully and time consuming to set up. The company imported all the data from my previous software, but all the data did not move smoothly. Some data was duplicated, leaving many extra hours of editing for me. And the editing is not easy. The financial portion of the system, though works beautifully and make my customers happy.

I highly recommend EZ-Care2 to any child care program looking for management software. I've explored other child care software products and have found none that come even close to the quality, adaptability, and value for the dollar (and others are generally more expensive). Buy it - you'll be glad you did.
EZ-Care2 is an excellent child care management software program. We've used it for over ten years for activity at ten locations serving thousands of children - for attendance, invoicing families with various scholarship rates, demographics, registrations, and report/data generation for various funding reports. Softerware support has been outstanding, and we are able to customize to our needs without additonal costs. Original purchase price was moderate, and annual support cost is quite reasonable.
Takes some time to learn to use, but given the features and adaptability quite worth the time. (It would be difficult, if not impossible, to have a product of this calliber be a simple quick study.)

We switched from Procare v10 that had just been released, after it kept bringing our server down and Procare couldn't figure out what was causing it. (A brand new server lasted less that 4 hours before crashing once Procare was installed!) EZ Care is module based and very configurable. This was my selling point, we could label fields and add fields to our needs. You can also build your own reports...

Have used EZ-Care for 15 years. Very easy to use, great value and great support staff that respond quickly! EZ-Care worked with us several years ago to implement our online registration that can be easily imported into the EZ-Care database, what a savings of time and money, not to mention paper!
