A well thought out platform

Reviewed 4 years ago

They have been very easy to get ahold of if I need help and are quick to implement changes if needed in patches.

Pros

It was super easy to use, and it just works well with everything. You want to make a membership site using Memberium, it works. Want to use woocommerce to sell your courses, that also works.

Cons

It is lacking some features here and there. It would be nice to allow grading with any answer in some quiz types.

An LMS that earns me money

Reviewed 2 years ago

Pleasant. Friendly. Respectful.

Pros

Apart from the fact that Learndash just works so well, I see how it is being constantly developed and my interaction with the support team with often special requests has left me deeply impressed and assured that I have the right supplier.

Cons

As our major focus is on certification exams, I would like to see more done on the quiz element to make it more robust. However, recent surveys by LD indicate this is already on their radar. So, I look forward to developments

Learndash 3

Reviewed 5 years ago

I am creating course materials and have found Learndash to be easy to work with and solving all of my needs so far.

Pros

I like the intuitive nature of this software and that it works with payment processors out of the box. I like that my theme software of choice (Astra) provides a good starting point and sop far very happy.

Cons

Nothing so far. I am still new to using it but don't expect anything will be an issue based on my experience to date.

Good plaform without useful features.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Learn Dash is a good platform to provide courses to students, but it does lack several needed features to create a proper marketplace environment. It is even limited to create subscriptions without third party software involved.

Pros

Easy to use lessons system. Drag and drop building. Easy to integrate with DIVI. Pretty student user interface

Cons

Lacking a proper tool to create quizzes. Does not provide a good environment to create a LMS marketplace. Instructors are not capable to keep trace of their income, sales, etc.

No solo cursos

Reviewed 2 years ago

If You REALLY Want to Self-Host on WordPress...

Reviewed 5 years ago

I built a course on it, and then switched to a proper course product.

Pros

If you *really* want to self-host your courses on WordPress, then LearnDash is pretty good. It provides a good framework for creating your lessons, units, etc.

Cons

Hosting your course on WordPress is not a great idea. The way WordPress works (I used to work in the WordPress hosting industry), it can't cache your site for logged in users. So, once you start getting lots of students, your site performance will suffer. There are better options out there that are made for courses - Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific. Once you get sufficient WordPress hosting to handle a good student load, you'll be paying more than for a specialized course or membership platform.

Best LMS Solution for Wordpress

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

The ease of setup and effective end-user adoption. Apart from that it has almost every aspect of LMS covered using its feature rich add-ons.

Cons

I would say the premium price is the only con here if you compare this with something like Learnpress or Moodle.

Great Product

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Learndash is an easy to use plugin and was perfect for my clients needs. I love that GamiPress is also easy to integrate to give it that extra kick.

Cons

If anything more of a variety of questions and the ability to input a status on a single lesson such as complete or started. But thats just being nit-picky.

LearnDash Cloud

Reviewed 2 years ago

So far, I am very satisfied

Pros

I considered and trialed quite a few LMS before choosing LearnDash Cloud. What I loved most about it was that it came with everything I needed to set up my online course platform including different types of assessments (most lms only allowed multiple-choice quizzes), registration, payment integration, badges/certificates, and so on. What I now love the most about LearnDash is its customer support, they are fantastic, they are quick to respond, know what they are talking about and seem keen to help. I am not terribly tech savvy yet I could make sense of what they were telling me.

Cons

I am new to WordPress and I'm not a fan of the block editor however it's not too bad once you get your head around it.

I freaking LOVE LearnDash and this awesome support team!

Reviewed 5 years ago

I've been pretty hesitant before buying any LMS plugin. There have been an overwhelming number of options and it's been puzzling. After some clarifications with the LearnDash support team, I decided to go for this product. Overall, I freaking LOVE LearnDash and this awesome support team! I feel that it's actually this particular support team that makes this product so awesome. They're amazing and I feel that they go out of their way to solve my problems.

Pros

Lots of features. Competitive pricing. Many features are provided out of the box (as opposed to other sites that make you buy addons for basic features). Last but the strongest one - the support team! You can count on them if it's _anything_ related to LearnDash. I even learnt about a staging feature present in webhosts, that I didn't know about.

Cons

A few more themes would have been helpful, although the default theme is pretty decent.

Clean install and easy to use

Reviewed 2 years ago

Had a problem with my license install and they fixed in within a couple hours. I was impressed with the speed of response.

Pros

It has lots of features/add-ons available, there was a live demo that you could test and view before purchase, no issues with conflicting plug-ins on the demo, lots of video documentation to show you how to use the software.

Cons

I'm still just learning how to use it but it could have nicer templates maybe out of the gate for a quicker course start.

LearnDash offers limitless tools to make a great training, but I can't see the wood for the trees

Reviewed 3 years ago

For the people who participate in online trainings LearnDash is a very pleasable options. However, for the people who create these trainings in the backoffice I would not recommend this tool. It is complicated and unorganized.

Pros

LearnDash offers a wide amount of options for creating a online training. You can build-in almost every training option you could possibly think of.

Cons

Every single module and lesson (I still don't know the difference between those two to be honest) is placed underneath the other. But instead of showing whether it is a lesson or a module, you just have to find out by yourself. To be short, I'm losing control over my LearnDash projects.

Learndash eductional software

Reviewed 4 years ago

I was contracted to set up an educational WordPress site for a client. I selected an attractive theme that had course functionality built-in, but wanted something more flexible and well-supported. The educational aspect of the site was critical for my client. It was a choice to go with a trusted provider like Learndash, as I didn't think that the support from a theme publisher would be useful, if I needed it. Also, the course builder in Learndash makes it easy to organize the course material.

Pros

Learndash has a course builder that makes is highly flexible in organizing course material, so the ability to organize large amounts of material in proper sequence was my primary choice. Also, the reputation of Learndash and reviews from others helped me decide on them.

Cons

I haven't found anything negative to say about the software.

Client training made easy

Reviewed 3 years ago

So far it has been very easy to work with. This is the first time I am setting up an LMS site and was worried it would be a bit overwhelming but it has been a pleasure to work with.

Pros

Ease of use. Getting started and set up is really easy and intuitive. Documentation and training videos are well structured and easy to follow. It has a lot of features and integrates with other plugins like Gravity forms and Zoom which for our purposes is very important. It also works with Elementor which is a big plus.

Cons

Templates. It would be nice to have a variety of layouts that are self contained i.e not built into full themes so you could use your own theme and not a LearnDash specific theme. There may be something like this though and I just haven't found it.

Ease of Use

It's an excellent easy to go to product. Anyone with experience in Wordpress can use this product. The Learndash website has all the tips and info you need to set up your course.

Pros

I like this product as it is easy to set up courses using the course builder. Topics and quizzes can easily be added, removed or moved around and can be reused in other courses.

Cons

Maybe I would prefer a few more quiz types.

Incredible customer experience

The LD experience has been a great one. Easy to set up, course builder very intuitive, and was able to get my course structure built in no time. Best part of experience was [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] in client services- very responsive and owned my issue from start to finish. The dev team made my needs a priority, which made all the difference
