Little to no learning curve

Reviewed 2 years ago

Uteach is an easy to use, reliable platform to get into course creation. I chose it above all others. There are a some awesome features on Uteach, and still discovering more as I go. There is flexibility to showcase your content in different ways in a blog format, quizzes and live sessions. You can even design a completion certificate for your students. How thoughtful is that? There are also other app integration for emails and other function as well as CRM subscription possibility.

Pros

Adding text/images and graphics is as easy as drag and drop. The interface is very simple and relatively easy to navigate. If you are confused about anything you can reach out for assistance. Editing your own course page, swapping out information and graphics is very easy and fast. Adding or deleting menu pages is as simple as clicking on and off. You can also rearrange menu items as you see fit. No super tech skills needed. Then preview for satisfaction. You have the ability to manipulate the typography, size of font and change the color of headlines/text to make your course more visually inviting.

Cons

Not as obvious where to find your course when you start to build on it. I have to click around a bit to search for where my 1st course is stored so I can edit my course and continue building on it. A little annoying but I find it eventually.

Good start with high potential

Reviewed 2 years ago

So far happy with the app, looking forward to seeing some of the roadmap items implimented.

Pros

After reading some reviews about Uteach, we decided to get a licence for our own use - currently experimenting with different cases - so far it seems to be good, it's easy to work with. Has decent funtionalities and makes the process of publishing/selling courses easy.

Cons

If i'm not mistaken, it doesn't currently have calendar / time management feature that allows for consultation sessions.

VERY user-friendly, accessible for ANYONE

Reviewed 2 years ago

My business benefits are that I am able to sleep at night and know that my courses are being sold through this platform. I don't have to constantly pitch online to my social media following or explain how to long into zoom to watch my course or LIVE training! I don't have time for this and UTeach offers a fast and simple solution to my problem as a course creator.

Pros

As a complete newbie to the world of online teaching, what I REALLY liked the most about this software in the first place is how simple the instructions are on the platform so that any one with even the smallest amount of knowledge can be able to start their trail and use the system to host their courses online. I did of course have a few questions here and there that needed to be addressed and the support team was very responsible and efficient in responding back to all of my concerns and questions. My students also provided feedback by pointing out user accessibility and fast loading. The LIVE LESSONS are also automated which save my time by a ton, so that's also another feature I highly invested in having!

Cons

I genuinely have zero negative feedback about this software as the experience was smooth, fast and very pleasant. No hiccups or BUGS!

I love Uteach!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall Uteach has been a great experience. I've already recommended it to a friend who is now using it to build her online Yoga school.

Pros

I love that we can choose to host our video and audio files on their servers or embed them on popular video hosting platforms. The course creation process is really great and the support is amazing.

Cons

So far the only problem I've run into is the web builder. You can change anything you'd like, but the more you change, the higher probability you will have problems with the mobile template. Also, Chrome is the only browser that works well with the editor. Even browsers that are based on Chrome, like Edge and Vivaldi, don't work well. The web builder is drag-drop-click but there are so many parameters that we can change, that it's been time-consuming for me to find where to tweak things. On the other hand, Uteach frequently uploads video tutorials to youtube that are very useful.

Finally a site for my courses that's mine!

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I've been looking for a site for my online courses for me to sell instead of third party sites. Until I found Uteach I hadn't seen anything which I would be able to manage by myself. But Uteach is so easy. I've had no problems uploading and sorting my videos and documents. My courses aren't live yet, but I have no doubt I'll be able to get everything else done.

Cons

I would like to be able to add PDFs to the video lectures as I think that looks neater than 2 separate episodes. But that's a minor problem in comparison to the ease I (as a non techie) can use the site.

Simple and straightforward course platform that continuously strives to improve with user feedback!

Reviewed 2 years ago

I’ve had an excellent experience with them so far. I’m very impressed with their customer service.

Pros

Very easy to use. Customer service is very responsive and the company is continuously looking to improve the software. They created a Trello board for users to add suggestions which I was able to add to.

Cons

For the digital products, the short code to the digital product in purchase email adds an ugly URL link to the products . If you have multiple digital products bundled together, it will populate multiple long URLs which look very unappealing/ spammy in an email. I messaged them about this and they are working on improving this ( very responsive customer service team & they really do care about improving their product). Would love to see some more integrations in the future with email marketing platforms such as Activecampaign.

Now, anyone can teach

Reviewed 2 years ago

If you want to teach and you're not yet sure you can do it, UTeach will likely get you comfortable... and teaching, before you realize it. We all have something to teach and this service is both affordable and intuitive enough that I can recommend it to people that I know and who would've previously been intimidated by teaching. Now, I feel it's their time to shine, using the well-thought out tools, in UTeach.

Pros

At first glance, after you've registered and accessed your own dashboard, you see the options for managing users, course, your web site, your blog, your products and lot more. In fact, in my case, it was obvious I was provided the key tools to make my training work.

Cons

The service is already amazing but over time, I'm hoping more customization options will be made available to enhance the branding experience, of sorts. Also, I'd like more options for headers and footers, in my courses. I'm confident that'll be added, along the way because the team is serious about delivering quality.

One of the best Hybrid Learning Management Systems

Reviewed 2 years ago

Very strong tool for building a comprehensive, all-around, learning system on a particular topic/area.

Pros

This software gives you the ability to set available and/or sell from the same place, but under different sections, learning products to the client such as: (i) courses, (ii) live lessons, (iii) digital products, (iv) blog articles, (v) quizzes.

Cons

May need some improvements in the front-end templates e.g logos, colors, sizes, etc, such as to look more attractive/clear to the end-user.

UTeach brings fun to the e-Learning world

Reviewed 2 years ago

From the, almost daily, production of its Tutorials, you can clearly see that UTeach is the ship you want to sail with. I love its constant improvement and interaction with its customers that assure us that it is not a fly-by-night and fly-away-the-next-day company.

A beautiful, clean user UI and layout with easy Zoom integration

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's been a pleasure to use, aesthetically satisfying, good Zoom integration with live class (Zoom) course displays, and quick and easy to setup courses.

Pros

I liked the aesthetics of Uteach over any other LMS/ course builder I have explored. The Zoom integration is also really important for me as I facilitate group classes using zoom and want those to be published to my courses/programs

Cons

The analytics and user progress/ actions automations could be improved, for example, more granular data on how users are interacting with my courses, and settings for more detailed automated updates or dashboard data.

Easy to navigate

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I like the fact that you can start to build your site with a template and customize. It's pretty straight forward and so is the navigation of the course management, payment gateway, etc. They have videos for you to watch for detailed information when you get lost. I think this software makes an easy start with all the bells and whistles for someone with no-knowledge to get starting and create a course that looks professional and give you the ability to keep in touch / support with your clients.

Cons

Even though the site builder is pretty robust, I would love to see some more templates and maybe a small stock library for design.

To teach or not to teach on Uteach?

Reviewed 2 years ago

In my opinion, I would say Uteach is probably the best out of the LMS lot released between 2021-2022. It has all the features I need, and they are also getting pabbly integration. Subscriptions and course bundles will be available by the end of the year. There are templates of ready-made certificates. While these features are found basic most LMS on LTDs (early-stage) lack them. For example, go4clic...

Pros

Landing pages of the school looks pretty compared to all the LMS LTDs I have tried on appsumo, including go4clic, mastera, tutorLMS (wordpress), Learnum (wordpress based), and senseily. The team seems to be making a lot of upgrades within a relatively short time, unlike other LMS LTDs I tried on appsumo. It is completely White-Labelled. I refunded Mastera because there was branding. Branding is also...

Cons

In practice, landing pages does not look “as good as” the way they advertised on appsumo. The screenshots on their appsumo page look much prettier and neater than the way this product actually looks. Not sure what the technical term is. But the page looks fluffy or bloated – lots of white spaces in between, and although they say you can reduce those white spaces, it was not very friendly to me. Definitely do recommend this platform!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Our company has developed an Intensive Digital Skills Bootcamp and it is fully presented on Uteach platform. We are working on it for about 3 months already and the platform fully meets our demand. We can present our lessons by using different types of media, interaction elements, live sessions.

Pros

It is quiet user friendly and includes all the necessary features to present your online course and to interact with your course participants.

Cons

The best improvement step for this platform may be adding some more new design templates for building an online course, and yes it would be also cool to allow admins exporting some data on course participants activity progress

Not customizable

Reviewed 2 years ago

Bad, limited customization available

Pros

NOTHING, the lack of customization ruins the experience

Cons

I really want to be patient with Uteach because it's a growing platform but there's so much lacking it is extremely frustrating. I can live with a lot of the limitations on the platform, but not being able to customize checkout is the worst! I'm redirecting traffic from my landing page to a checkout page on Uteach where I expect users to pay first, then get account details after. Uteach asks them to create an account first before they pay, which is just bonkers! Can you imagine the drop-off if someone is excited to get a course, clicks on the pay now button and instead of the checkout page, get a page asking them to create an account before they pay for the course? You can't even customize the checkout page! Who does that?

Uteach - Professional looking LMS

Reviewed 2 years ago

After the setting of all the features, Uteach is a professional looking LMS. The most important for my use is the possibility of live lessons on the same platform. Live lessons are created very intuitively and there is an option to use your own video conferencing solution. Overall, I would recommend Uteach to my friends over any other LMS solution.

Pros

Professional looking website templates. Option to edit templates. Option to choose trial lessons for free so that students can then choose other paid lessons. Possibility of courses and live lessons in one place. Live lessons can include your own video conferencing solution. You are not limited via Zoom. Logging into the application is intuitive and clear. Ability to sell digital products. Responsive website. Localization into 30 languages, including Czech, which is used by our students.

Cons

The possibility of comments and adding tasks for students is missing. Course packs and challenges cannot be created. The mobile app is an expensive monthly and yearly fee. Quite challenging to adapt the entire application to use. Returning to courses from an open lesson is not intuitive in mobile viewing.

Uteach has great potential

Reviewed 2 years ago

Fun overall, but interface and flow are a bit cumbersome, could use clean and better flow.

Pros

UTeach has an easy-ish interface, decent presentation and it gets the job done.

Cons

The interface needs work, the landing pages CANNOT be saved, ie once you change a template, you can't go back to a previous one - that is a problem esp if you have modified and customized your template - you can;t save them... I also have issues with the templates not fitting right-left, there is margin left over so it's not sitting solid in the mobile. The Course creation part is good, but interface could be cleaner too. Once those are cleaned UTeach will be top of it's class!

Vendor response

Thank you, Yossi. We'll work on a page builder to make it easier for our customers.

Uteach helped me launch my online school super fast!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Uteach enabled me to launch my online school within a couple of days of starting to use it. It's a fantastic little piece of software and it has made my life so much easier. Before I started using Uteach I thought it was going to take weeks to get everything together and require me to hire many people to help me build my platform. Uteach helped me through it all with ease! And it's an amazing price too! Now I can have a professional-looking face to my online school and managing it is a breeze too!

Pros

Great platform that contains everything you need to launch your own online school at a very affordable price. Customization is great and the templates provided help you get everything up and published so much faster.

Cons

- Not always intuitive in using it but customer service is excellent and always replies in less than 24 hours to help you. - I don't like the user experience too much. Users have to go to "Profile" to access all their training and purchased products. A lot of my students don't understand this. There should be a "learning area" or "my courses" section that enables students to access all their classes easily - like the way Udemy set out purchased courses.

Vendor response

Bob, thank you so much for the detailed review :) We will discuss a student profile section with the team and find a solution. Thanks again :)

The current state is good enough, but we can expect further evolution.

Reviewed 2 years ago

If you don't have detailed aesthetics, the all-in-one LMS is not stressful, as neither the front end nor the admin screen slows down the site.

Pros

ll the features I was dissatisfied with when I purchased it have been eliminated, and it is now my most used LMS. The most important thing with a system like this is not the functionality of the LMS, but getting prospective customers, to buy it. Therefore, it is essential to make the process from the landing page to the purchase page as smooth as possible, and at the very least, to make sure there are no strange notations. Many LMSs are designed for English-speaking users, but for other languages, there are many services that fail to fix the English on the important purchase page, or that fail to fix the strange expressions in the footer or other small details. However, on the front end, uteach has solved all that.

Cons

The site builder for landing pages is a limited template, but it can be meticulously configured. However, if you decide on one theme, everything changes in tandem, which was a bit of a problem. Also, I want the course introduction page to be the most attractive, but there are only uniform templates. I think it would be better to create a separate landing page for this and have only the purchase screen transition to this page.

Vendor response

Masahiro, thank you so much for the review and feedback. We have plans to make the course page editable in the future.

A one-stop-shop LMS. Brilliant!

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

It's not often that a new LMS player comes along and competes with all the traditional big players in the market from the get go. Uteach has done just that. On the surface, templates are modern and beautiful. This alone is a game changer and everything else in the market seems years behind. On the backend, the Content Management side of things is seamless. Everything you need to deliver an amazing learning experience to students. Video hosting, quizzes, files, certificates... you name it, it's there. Building a course is easy, peazy, lemon squeezy, and delivers to students in a coherent fashion. Need to market it, SEO is built in. Building out our Academy to complement our e-commerce business has been a pleasure. Well done Uteach. Would recommend

Cons

It would be great if they could implement a gamified option for students. If students could earn badges and points as they move through the course to encourage and motivate them to keep on going, that would be great. By no means a dealbreaker though.

Affordable Online Course Platform

Reviewed 2 years ago

I stumbled across Uteach while searching for a new teaching platform. I have used other platforms in the past, and I have to say that Uteach is far superior. The platform is so easy to use and the support is outstanding. I was able to get my website up and running in just a few clicks and my design was a huge hit with my students. Uteach is the best platform out there and I would highly recommend it to all teachers.

Pros

I love this website because it allows me to create a course in a very short amount of time. I can design it, publish it and start charging for it on the website. I love how easy the website is to use and how the customer support team is always available to help me when I need it. I love being able to create courses quickly without having to invest a lot of time.

Cons

Uteach is a really good app for students to use. I like that it has a great interface and is easy to use. It also comes with a variety of quizzes so students can use it as a practice tool. The only thing I would say is that it really needs a more functional quiz function. Uteach sells itself as being able to host Mathematics Courses but doesn't have the ability to include mathematic equations in answer options or in question.

Uteach creates a beautiful and functional website right out of the box

Reviewed 2 years ago

I am very pleased with Uteach, because they do what I wish more SaaS companies did, and that is making sure their existing features work well, before introducing new ones. One of the things that I like and that makes my life so much easier is that Uteach will host all the content, including videos, for me.

Pros

Uteach has a beautiful & logical UI which makes it is easy to use. I didn't need any help creating my first course or branding the portal. I also really like the student experience, including the ability to speed up or slow down the videos. Uteach is a lot more than just an LMS, it has all the features you would need to build a fully functional website.

Cons

There are some features I am missing as of this writing, most of which are on the roadmap, though: payment plans and subscriptions, integration with more autoresponders, and student/teacher commenting within each lesson.

Vendor response

Thank you, Biggi :) Soon we'll launch bundle courses and after that a subscription feature. It's already in process.
