Pros

Strong, secure environment - clearly developed with an appreciation of how to treat company sensitive data. Appropriate security levels are easily established and maintained.
Having never used it before, I was amazed at the ease of use. In addition to serving as a data repository for 10+ years of information, the variance analysis reporting is fantastic.
I feel the printing capabilities can be improved, along with the clarity of the printing itself. The customer service on this product is outstanding.

Pros

Vena calculations are accurate and the financial data report building is excellent and the permission management capability is impressive and i also like the compliance easy management functions.
The payroll management and transaction tracking using Vena is excellent. The data analytics and budgeting is effective and i also like data integration capability.
What I like most is that Vena have interface like Excel, which makes it easy to create reports for our business. The interface is really great.

Cons

This lack of functionality makes our work a bit confusing sometimes.
Our adaptive administrator sometimes struggles with the data integration from netsuite in some instances.
Implementation is costly and seems cumbersome.

Cons

As of now, I didn't find anything to be disliked.
There is only a primitive editor, and no result box that guides you. Our consultants told us do not even try because they seldom touch it.
In Vena, you can write simple code on the report to hide a column. In the same report you can use one or the other, or both, the results are reports with frustrating formatting quirks.

How can a system that solves for the very tool that all of finance uses go wrong? In the beginning, FPA wanted to get out of Excel and have one version of the truth. Then the industry pivoted back to Excel with a bunch of intermixed features between Excel and cloud...

Honestly, if you have used other planning software, I can not really say there is much.

Cons

• No web interface that shows your financials. All financials must be displayed through reports that you build through Excel. Yes, you can pull intersection data and get a dump, but that is cumbersome. • Loading headcount takes up to an hour to load since it needs to be customized. • Mapping a report takes too long. You must map not just columns and rows, but the “page”, or global like dimensions....

Vena is the best and advanced Performance Management tool that I have seen and used, the reporting, dashboard, etc. but there are many other features which we have not used but are planning to.

Pros

I like that we are efficiently able to collaborate in Vena, the Approval process is streamlined which was lacking previously.I also like the Dashboard and UI which is Excel like, which is a known UI for me, and report generation and sharing is a time saver.

Cons

It's a bit expensive and its integration took time for its stable work with existing ERP software.but overall, it's awesome for the work it's supposed to do.

Interesting and different from other FPA in market.

Pros

Vena gives you freedom and is most easy and efficient app to make a template. Easiest way to share an information or sheet to department. All things like budget, revenue status and different planning can be managed by any small or large organization.

Cons

More upgrades can be done. The template takes 3 to 4 minutes to load. Bit expensive to maintain. Need to upgrade support.

This is a great tool for financial planning in your business. You can see data in a lot more interactive way than other software. You can calculate and understand A-Z from all of your financial side of things. I really love this software.

Cons

Vena provides a lot of tools to manage your business. And, for a beginner, it's a little bit time-consuming task to set up everything from A-Z.

We deployed Vena in 2020 as an ERP extension to our legacy system. Vena empowered sales metrics on the front end, financial project management in the middle, and financial reporting at the job level on the back end. We deployed a second "cube" data warehouse after the initial launch for financial reporting. Each deployment has worked as prescribed and brought extraordinary value to our construction company.

Pros

Vena has delivered huge value for us in a flexible package that can grow with our business effectively and efficiently. Vena let us keep our existing financial system and our customer Excel quoting apps. And built a reporting system on the back of Excel which everyone already knows. The road to value was fairly straightforward for us.

Cons

Vena is a toolbox of powerful opportunities. It is not an out-of-the-box accounting system. So you have to know exactly what you want out of Vena before deploying it. But this is true of any data warehouse. Knowing how data is to be extracted and presented requires upfront commitment and execution. Time spent in the planning phase will pay off 10X in the execution phase.

After using the Vena Software now I can say it's the best accounting software where we can reconcile ending balances. Now we can easily identify discrepancies or time differences between the bank statement and financial records. With a centralized database, we can easily collect all the data from different departments and generate a collective report about company progress. That's why I totally recommended this software to all my corporate friends.
