Pros

Clio provides effective and easy invoice creation and it's quite secure. Additionally, its costumer service is just amazing.
Overall, the best time and billing software out there. I have demo'd several and Clio was the clear winner.
Functionality is nearly universal while specially and jusisdiction costomization is great. Easy law firm branding and pre sale marketing is brilliant.

Pros

The ability to segment users and managers is essential to our company's structure. Being the administrator and having the ability to go in and fix any user's time sheet is also great.
I love especially that this software integrates with Concur, and has a mobile app that has a very friendly UI. The easier it is for employees to enter information, the better.
This is super easy to use. I mostly use it to report hours worked and it's better than any of the other programs we used before.

Cons

My client started having trouble uploading her documents to me. Assignments went missing, and so deadlines were missed.
I hate when I am asked for instructions on setting up their client portal because I have no instructions to give them.
This is especially clear in light of its competition, Abacus or AbacusNext or AbacusLaw or whatever other evil derivative product they put out there which is all horrible in my experience.

Cons

Sometimes we get synchronizing problems. Not sure if we can easily edit erroneous of incomplete entries after saving.
At times my entries seem to magically disappear from the description section which can be frustrating if I can't track what I did on a particular day and time.
Adding and deleting employees is confusing. They make it difficult to keep the customer base out of the tracking.

There are some frustrations, but they are far outweighed by the benefits realized.

Cons

Only one client can be added per matter. I would love the ability to add multiple clients to each matter. Also, the document management could be better

Pros

Aggregates all aspects of the business - billing, contacts, time tracking, etc.

Cons

Certain functionality is missing. As an example, Clip Share makes working on projects with colleagues easy; however, they cannot add expenses and the hourly rate they charge is limited to one rate even if I have multiple matters going on with the same individual. This results in manually entries and adjustments, which undermines the value of this feature.

Cons

Clio takes a little while to get used to; definitely can't throw your newly hired employee into Clio without a crash course.

Organization and detailed, easy record keeping.

Pros

Time tracking Bill Generating/ accounting The ability to change mistakes without having to redo entries.

Cons

Doesn't integrate with Fastcase as well as I would like Clients have trouble with Clio connect and just want to get to a payment page. I wish I could type contact info into a matter so I could open a new client on one page.

Time tracking has become easier and the cloud-based access helps for when working from outside of the office

Pros

Integrated law practice management - one stop shopping for almost of your practice management needs; Cloud-based, so can access files and information anywhere; Ease of use - very user friendly as to client management and billing

Cons

Cost, especially for additional user licenses could be a tad lower. Other than that, no complaints about the software itself and it is still worth the price.

It has everything I need for time tracking and task managing, and it translates well from what I'm used to.

Pros

This is not my usual practice management platform (cosmolex), but when I need to use it for cross-practice, there is an easy learning curve translation.

Cons

Don't know that I like this "least" about clio, but it's just not my go-to, due to the lack of accounting integration.

The experience was short with this software as it did not meet our needs for the firm.

Pros

The product had a lot of features for document storage and time tracking capabilities. It also was a cloud based software.

Cons

We were going to switch our firm to this software for case management but it was not user friendly and did not integrate well with other software.

A bit pricey, and poor customer service

Pros

I very much liked that it was so inclusive calendaring, time tracking, tasks, billing, etc. all being in one place is very helpful.

Cons

This is not about the software, but in my opinion, service is just as important as the product itself, and I unfortunately found Clio's customer service to be lacking. As my trial was coming to an end, I received a sales phone call at 6am, and the representative was pressuring and rude.

Clio allows our law office to be super streamlined and provide a great way for all members of our team to communicate with each other, especially our remote team members.

Pros

I love that Clio is available on my mobile phone as well as my laptop. It provides me and my team with the best tool for quick time tracking.

Cons

I would like better document and template integrations. We use Box for that.

It has definitely made accounting, billing and collecting much easier.

Pros

Great billing features: time tracking, on-line payments, retainer accounting, etc. Works well with Quickbooks and LawPay. The Company does a good job of listening to their customers and improving the product.

Cons

We use the document preparation tools a lot and they work well. It would be better, however, if we could organize the forms.

Whole office switched!

Great product. Two offices utilized a different software. When we switched and loved it, the other office switched too. Everyone is on one platform now and the office runs smooth! Great time tracker!

Pros

Easy to use and very user friendly, even on the mobile app.

Super easy to you, very organized, great features for our small law firm! Love the software! Love the time tracking feature and task reminder! New Clio Connect, client portal, has been extremely popular with clients!

Cons

Would like to be able to just edit "one event" of a reoccurring event in the calendar without having to delete and re-create event!

Pros

Time tracker. I was able to log calls and know all of the time I was able to I was spending on a case. It's great that it integrates with primafacie now (an immigration software).

Cons

Billing, templates and workflows. Very primative. I must have done an one on one training few times and when I asked questions, I was always referred to a link for tutorials.

Clio is an excellent solution for book keeping and time tracking. I have law firms using this and they love how it integrates into they GSuite setup. This has helped them capture many lost hours of billable time and easily allows them to send out bills to their clients.

Cons

I haven't found anything that my clients do not like so far.

We've been using Clio for just over a year now in our firm. We've added several new people and consolidated a number of software programs into a much smaller number of programs. The contacts management and documents management features of Clio are not as robust as the other solutions we're using, and we'd like to see some improvements in the contacts system and the ways bills are run and sent. Pros

Time tracking is very easy, and it handles multiple matters for the same client very well. Reports are useful, most of them. Tasks and the system allowing you to make records of phone conversations are great. Clio Connect and the ability to share documents with clients and others is fantastic.

Cons

Billing system is clunky; contacts management is only okay at best. It's not a cheap solution.

I use it almost exclusively for time-tracking and billing. There's so much more functionality that I don't use--either because I don't need it in my practice (it's for bigger firms) or because I don't have the tie-in program (it links with Quicken/other programs a larger firm might already have).

Pros

It easily tracks time, creates invoices, and matches all that to matters and clients.

Cons

I can't print bills straight from the program--or at least, can't figure out how to. (Downloading and printing aren't hard, they're just an extra step).
